As a German and a Liverpool supporter, I get how devastating Klopps announcement has been for all the fans. I respect him for acknowledging his exhaustion and taking it seriously instead of pushing through. He'll be leaving the club when it and the team are at the top of their game. He gave it all he had and together with the club, players and fans achieved a tremendous amount. What a legacy! After he takes a good long break which he's absolutely deserved after nearly 25 years as a football manager, I am pretty sure EVERYONE in Germany's football community are praying /expecting / betting on for him to become the next manager of the German national team; that's a given, that position has his name on it. There's incredible pressure and media circus surrounding that position, but also the greatest honor and biggest challenge, the pinnacle of any career in German football. He'll need all the strength and mental fortitude he can muster. At the same time, maybe he won't take on the Germany job and decide to just enjoy the rest of his life with his wife and friends and family. I'm in my 50s and have lost several friends my age. We never know how long we've got. Any which way, Jürgen deserves a break.
Listen, as a german as well i have another theory. He has to join Bayern rather than the Nationalteam. The manager of the Nationalteam has limited time with players and wont make them much better on a daily basis - which is exactly Klopp's strength. Back in 2014 the german team was basically players coached and improved either by Klopp or Guardiola.
And looking at Tuchels contract situation (2025) and performance (2nd), besides Bayerns aging squad (Müller, Neuer, ...) they need to rebuild soon. Klopp would be the perfect fit to rebuild the team and improve young players to world class. which the nationalteam would benefit indirectly.

@@JOLLYROGER-sg9oq, I hear you. Bayern is always a contender for top management and good point about player development difficult in national team level. However, I doubt Klopp will opt to back into club football in the Bundesliga or any league for that matter. I would be very surprised if he went to manage Bayern. My impression has been he's got a special dislike for their management circle, especially, being the snobs they are and the way they've been buying off all top players other clubs developed in order to retain power and control in the league. That's just not his vibe. But what do I know. We'll see!
The candle that burns twice as bright, burns half as long
As a Liverpool fan, I certainly hope he is not retiring, and would come back in the future
Dream on he ain’t coming anywhere near England let alone rubbish city of Liverpool
@@stretfordenders4013tf
I hope he retires I don't wanna see him at club level football we never saw Shanklin or paisley at another club he is that elite manager coach

@@illest28s32klopp has other commitments besides Liverpool, he’s been with Dortmund for years
*Klopp's problem: He was NEVER kicked out!* No longer recovery time for 22 years.
For around 20 of this 22 years, Klopp achieved more with his teams in UK & Germany than his team's budget allowed.
This is only possible if you give 80 hours of 100% energy every week.
The reason he gave was, he's 'running out of energy".
Klopp mentioned he would never manage another club in England OTHER than Liverpool
He is Shankly the second. Brought the glory days back to Liverpool.
The Most Normal person we have ever had OUR BOSS JURGEN ❤
Ordinary and extraordinary 👍
He deserves all the time off he needs, his mother passed away and he could not attend the funeral, his dad and Ulla's parents must be getting on and he is now a grandpa so I would imagine he just wants time with his family, I really hope there is nothing wrong health wise with him or any of his family.
I am sure he will work again, I think the Germany job will be his after the Euros, less hectic schedule, he can enjoy a more normal life - if he manages in Germany again maybe Dortmund or even back to Mainz as he clearly loves those clubs.
He will never manage ANOTHER club in England, he never said he would not comeback to LFC although that is a stretch but not impossible if the situation arises.
All the best Jurgen - you are the normal one with a special attitude on life, YNWA
I as LFC fan would say, Godspeed Klopp. Time to parting. And we as the fans, should say all the best and nicest things to him. Pray for his well beings.
Take a look at his photo when he join us. Compare it with current looks. It does took a lot from him to manage our club.
He's doing his best with limited resources and look where us nowadays. He set the standard too high for his successor.
I pray that his successor could do better than Klopp. I do hope so.
Tears are nor stopping
Klopp is the best manager of this era.... No biase here am a gunner❤❤❤ love the guy since his Dortmund days amazing personality hope he is well and happy in his personal life, it's a bit sad to see him go but wishing him the best
Just shows you the type of guy he is when opposing fans are praising him. I’m in bits over it personally it’s too sudden but we love the gaffer to bits and if he needs rest we have to respect it
Klopp never said he would not work in England again. He only said he would not coach any other club aside Liverpool in England. Which means he could still come back to coach Liverpool again.
He won't come back, sadly.
Come on bois, Quadruple this year for Kloop’s energy and dedication over the years to the club 💪
😂😂😂😂
- City win all 4 Domestic Trophies, slagged not Proper Quadruple

@@HumanBeingsRThinkingBeings
What '4 domestic trophies'?
Respect klopp decision. Am sure he has thought it through a hundred times. Give him his space. HE IS HUMAN. Pep will leave MC too one day
This guy is shallow in his thinking. He hasn’t made it about him, he’s made it about Liverpool….. I’d rather he said it now, than wait and leave Liverpool rushing around to find a replacement….. True legend Klopp ❤️
In Saudi? DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT KLOPP???
Why the timing and now? Because Klopp is decent enough to give Liverpool time to hire a new suitable manager. He wants to stopp after this season. It would irresponsible if he would announced this in Summer giving the club only a few weeks time to find a replacement.
They knew since November
@@thegerm1397 True, and it is said, that the board has progressed in finding an replacement or need to take the next steps to find a suitable replacement. Information and the news undoublty will come out and they chose that now is the time, to announce Klopps departure in summer.
@@chelok7805 To be fair I heard Klopp found out the news was gonna be leaked. So he thought the best way to address it to come out and let the liverpool fans hear it from him. I also think this will work to his advantage because Anfield will be rocking for the next 4 month
It also gives his staff time to find new jobs
They are all wondering if the next Liverpool manager will batter them as much as klopp did for the last 4-5 years
Jürgen, as a German I ask you, please DON'T manage our national team. You won't have enough time to change these spoiled kids and make them Champions. Don't ruin your heritage. Enjoy living a normal life with your family and maybe work as a TV commentator or expert
Xabi is 42; Pep was 37 when he started and started winning at Barca.
Pep has Iniesta, Xavi and Messi.
Barca appointments are weird. They like to be managed by former players and random South Americans.
yeah, Pep never had a hard time.@@polreamonn
They knew in November so they had to say. Liverpool would have been approaching people.
Trophies wise he might be still far behind but when it comes reviving the "Liverpool" , he is in same bracket as Bill Shankly ! I am sure the foundation is so strong that Liverpool will succeed even after Klopp same as they did after Shankly.
Compared to Shankly, he actually won everything.
they were both great in their own era
Klopp has won EVERYTHING. What the hell are you dribbling on about?
I think Klopp’s next job will be the Germany national team, which is less hectic.
Do you reckon he told his senior players before. And only the people who could keep a confidence?
Who's that guy on the right side? Every fan knows that Klopp would NEVER go to coach in the Saudi League
A nobody. He looks like my weirdo neighbour
As a liverpool fan a hope there is nothing wrong with klopp, a hope his health is ok, thank u Jurgen 4 lifting a city bak where they belong YNWA a nation is calling klopp the national team is in disarray & that will b his next job,
The fact that Jurgen Klopp did sign another extension to stay until 2026 in 2022 - I think just highlighted his love for the club and the city as a whole but after the tumultuous season of 22/23 - as many people have said - it's really taken it's toll on him.
9:04 Klopp will leave a vacuum but it won't be like the one that Fergie left behind. Fergie basically ran the football operation by himself, he was an old school manager with an old school remit, while Klopp worked as a team with several different sporting directors and a recruitment team. Klopp has worked with the club to build a football infrastructure to ensure continuity, but Fergie didn't do that. He called all of the shots, let the squad deteriorate into an old and slow rabble, and left nothing behind for Moyes or anyone for that matter to work with.
At least Ferguson won 13 premier league titles in his era . While liverspuds have only won one prem title in 34 years.
@@paulkyriakopoulos3444 And it's looking like they will go another 30 years themselves before the next one. 11 years and counting.
The German national team might be the natural next step for Klopp but I doubt it would be a wise move on his part. In Dortmund and Liverpool he could form a team that suited his style. In the Nationalmannschaft, the pool of players he can choose from is way more limited. Then again, he might be the right person to give a team that historically rarely had any real stars back the mentality that made them World Champions four times. Hard work and discipline, something the Nationalmannschaft lacked in recent years.
Well you what they say, you can leave Liverpool, but Liverpool never leaves you.
He is off to Germany give it 6 months to a year and hes the Manager of Germany 🇩🇪 . The end
What's masterstroke take all the focus off team put it on him
Absolutely gutted that he is no longer going to be with LFC. What a manager definitely with the best there is in world football.
Klopp might of pulled of the master stroke if everyone is on him and not are team jus like the beginning of season
Mark, Guardiola did not have alot of experience before taking on the job at Barcelona and he was an outstanding success. He is also not like Gerard in the sense that he is in a stronger league and with a team that was 4th or 5th favorites by a long shot to wij the league.
The UK media sucking Klopp and Liverpool off as usual. Saying that I will miss him in the league a brilliant character and manager better than Guardiola by a MILE.
going by the bias lfc have suffered i dont blame him
klopp want to follow sir alex ferguson's legecy&retire
and he want hold liverpool history
If you think about it - he intends to leave. That’s is a fact. How else is Liverpool going to look for a replacement manager without it coming out and imagine if that did come out without him / Liverpool announcing it first ? It was a situation of managing the narrative vs hoping that it will stay a secret until the end of the season. And in football keeping that kind of secret for an extended time was impossible.
The guy on the right is out to lunch
Proper goodbyes are called for it deserved for klopp
It was a good movie
Now everybody knows and there will be no distractions at the End of the season besides let’s win one more for the gaffer
I don't wanna say it, but I think his sick he seemed to be hinting at it I thought.
I have been thinking same.
He specifically said he is healthy. He isn’t sick. Just tired
you have a point here. I do hope he enjoys his time off.
Only said a few weeks ago that he's lost a few kilos when talking about his ring slipping off on the pitch. Hope it's not connected.
@@graysum24 yep, he said it. Although he has lost some weight. I do hope he is medically fine.
Yeah will be missing one of the finest coaches in world football but good coaches come and go and this not exception
I dont think he had a choice but to announce it now he told the club in november the club need to start sounding out there targets it was gonna get out so he did it himself
Let’s Go 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
He will take a sabbatical and then next destination will be either italy or spain
He wont go to manage any club in germany as he loves dortmund
The press or someone got wind of him leaving, thats why he's announced it now id say.
I got a sense he could have health problems and if Liverpool are looking for a new manager how could the keep it quiet so it make sense they where forced to show there hand
Should give him the England job just imagine what he could do with the group of players we have instead of that serial looser South gate
I agree, Klopp MLGA - Made Liverpool Great Again ;)
Seriously tho, he did so much more.
Crazy how the Brits still buy and read newspapers........
They are online too these days.
@@mikestravelshow Sure but where I'm from newspapers went pretty much extinct years ago. If I wanted to buy one right now I would probably struggle all day looking for one so that's why I find this fascinating.
Mark is talking like the man isn't a human being. Young or not, he's only human
Alonso is great, but he hasn't been in a for long enough
Liverpool needs an underdog manager... Someone who can squeeze water from stones like Klopp did

I prefer De Zerbi as Klopp's successor
You try bouncing back from heartbreak time and time and time again and even though this new team ahead of schedule City are still everyones favourites so the likely scenario this season was probably going to be another 1 or 2 points behind City and he must have wondered and realised that if that was the case he wouldnt be able to bounce back again , prepare pre season , transfers etc etc and try again to beat Pep. How near to a quad ? Then City go and do a treble while we scrape Europa league ! So its took all his energy to get us back to this point right now . I believe that this will give the players extra motivation to go for it. Id do ewt for him so what dya think they would do? Last chapter the most glorious. YNWA
Fancy asking a bitter MU fan in Ogden and a bitter Everton fan in Dunn to be the ones commenting! In general though I've been happy to see how the press have been so complimentary about him, surprised even as these two and the likes of Simon Mullock have let their alligences show when speaking about him. Besides Thomas Frank the managers left will be dull as hell. Pep, Howe, Arteta, Silva zzzzzz

Personally, I would like it if Rooney returns home to manage the biggest club in his hometown and country.
I think there is more to this.. definitely a sickness or something but that won’t come out until after season finishes..
Burnout syndrome is a more than reasonable explanation and very serious matter. No reason to speculate.
