I’ve really enjoyed your tutorials Andrew. Your friendly approach, down-to-earth instructions have really helped me embrace this app and really helped me do more with my photos. I look forward to seeing what you do next.
Hey Andrew, this is great to hear! Could you please help me with an AP2 question? I am working on outlining an area to delete it and followed you on a couple of other vids, but the issue I have occurs as I move around the image the selection line disappears around some of the previously outlined sections. I have to use the two fingers or go back arrow and start over. Pretty new to using the pencil on iPad, but it's great! (Never stop learning and being excited about it! - I got my college degrees later in life and even taught myself to draw - graphite and colored pencil on paper)
Thanks Elizabeth for your kind words and encouragement . I love learning and don't plan to stop anytime soon :) As for your question, not to plug my course but I do cover this in the course because I actually had the same issue happen me a few times while recording it, but I will try to explain it to the best of my ability here in the comments because it has happened to me a few times and it's very frustrating. With the arrow tool you need to select the point that you're working on and the last point of the other line and then along the top there is an icon which will join the two paths together. I'm not at my iPad at the minute so I'm not quite sure exactly what it looks like but you need to select both ends of the points and then at the of the top contextual toolbar there's an icon which joins them both and makes the two paths into one and I'm assuming you mean when you're using the pen tool. Hope this helps, if not let me know and we'll take it from there. Thanks again :)
Elizabeth that is so lovely for you to say that. Thank you so much and apologies I didn't mean to plug the course if you know what mean it’s just hard to explain in comments but let me know if that works above. If it doesn't, let me know in this thread and I will get back to you and see what I can do to help you out. Again, thanks so much :)
Sad to see the end of your tutorials on Affinity Andrew , you wouldn’t believe how helpful they have been to me over a period of time , I learnt so much from them. Looking forward to seeing what’s in the pipeline for the future.
Thanks for your comment and kind words, and I'm completely over the moon to hear just how much my tutorials have helped you :) That really means a lot to me. I just feel now is the right time to try something else, and I'm excited to learn new skills and to teach them back :)
I have always loved your UA-cam videos. Your enthusiasm really makes the videos fun to do. Because of this I bought your full course and am ready to start working on it. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much Karen! I really appreciate your comment and kind words, and I'm over the moon that my enthusiasm shines through in my videos :) And thank you so, so much for buying my course. It means a lot me and I hope you enjoy it and get on really well with it. If you have any issues, just let me know, you’re sure to learn a whole lot if you do two courses. Thank you so, so much :)
Definitely going to stick around, been using Affinity Photo 2 on the ipad for almost two years and learning the Mac version now, have bought your course though! Looking forward to the new content
Thank you so much for sticking around and also for buying the course. You have no idea how much I greatly appreciate both of these things :) If I can be of any help at all in the course or in the Discord channel, let me know. Get in touch and also all the best with learning the desktop version too, which is really good :)
@@CreativeGoodman Need to sort the Discord out, but will be in touch if can’t sort it once I’ve had a proper look! Your way of demonstrating has been helpful on your free content, buying your course is the least I could do!
Thank you again so much for your kind words, and again, I really, really appreciate you buying the course, and I'm so thankful that you found value in the free content :)
This is really exciting. I can’t wait to see what you produce. And, I would also find it really interesting to learn more about how you think as a designer. In other words, leaving the specific technology out of the equation, how do you think about creating images, and what is your process.
Thanks Andy, as always, thanks so much for your comment and kind words. And yes, you raise a really interesting point and I think going forward in this channel, more of that will come out. I'll maybe try to explain more about the reasons I do what I do, or how I think and go about it and I think that's something else I'll be really excited about to share. Hope you enjoy it :)
I'm trying to figure out what ipad to get .. I don't have a huge budget. I'm a hobbyist and I don't make money from art. So, what is the least expensive ipad to get that will handle affinity designer & photo? I've been looking at ipad air 3.
Your contents are really relevant on the point, well breakdown & detailed tutorials…I’ll miss your videos on Affinity photo2 videos. wish you get more subscribers buddy….😊❤
Thank you so much for your comment, encouragement, and understanding. I really, really appreciate it. As for subscribers, we'll wait and see :) thanks so much again
That’s just bloody typical! I find a great channel for learning Affinity Photo 2 and the next day, yes the NEXT freaking day, the author announces you’ve had your lot. I accept all the good stuff is still there and that I shouldn’t take it personally but this is not the first time! 😂😂😂
Apologies Bill for this! The same thing has happened to me, so I know how you feel. But I'm glad you found the channel, and as said, all the Affinity Photo 2 iPad content isn't going anywhere. And if you get through it all you'll be an absolute whiz with it :)
I love affinity photo 2 on the ipad as well. Such a great product. I wish I had found your videos while I was learning, I'm sure they will still help in some ways. I'm excited to see what you having coming next. Thanks for the video!
Awesome i had afinity photo 1 with iPad Pro but got lost with it so I stuck with lightroom but getting more creative lightrooms not cutting it so now got afinity photo 2 and going to make a start watching your videoes and will check out your tutorials 👍👍👍
That's a shame Andrew, I do think you could have increased your audience massively if you had a Facebook presence as there are many Affinity groups there which would happily share your content to a wider audience, I admin two of them that try to share your work. Was expecting your "shorts" series to appear in Facebook shorts but they never did for some reason.
Thanks for your comment and feedback Paul, I really appreciate it. Completely understand where you're coming from. The reason I'm not on Facebook is because there's only so many hours in the day and there's only so much I can do. I've got a full-time job, a family, I really enjoy this channel and I'm just conscious about spreading myself too thin, which to be honest did happen in the past year. Let me know what Facebook groups you're in and I'll check them out. As far as the Affinity Photo 2 iPad tutorials go, I don't want to keep on doing tutorials just for the sake of it, I want to keep on growing and progressing and again thanks for your feedback and I really appreciate it :)
Love the passion and fun you bring to UA-cam, Andrew! Just started your courses when I saw this title and thought 😮 🫣 😢 Then realized you’re not going anywhere - but just branching out. Can’t wait to see what you regale us with next!
As always, thank you so much for your comment, kind words, and encouragement. Hope you get on really well with the courses, and let me know if you need any help. And yes, excited to see what comes next on this channel :)
I know AI isn't for everyone Paul, and completely understand where you're coming from. For me, I enjoy learning and keeping up to date with things. I'm excited at all the different tools and all the different ways AI can enhance my creativity. But again, understand where you're coming from :)

You literally gave me an heart attack with the title 😭
lol… Apologies for that! Hopefully your heart is still beating normally now again :)
Thanks for all.
He gets $100 for every time he says "Affinity Photo 2"
lol😆
Looking forward to your future offerings… glad you’re staying around.
Thanks for your comment and kind words, and I'm glad you're staying around this channel too! :)
