C and I have been discussing this further... The target market is obviously young, cool, hip people with man buns and tattoos that do things like surfing and drinking cold brewed chai mocha latte pumpkin spiced frappuccinos... But how many of these people have $343,000 at that time in their lives? I guess there must be at least 30 dot com CEO's that can work remotely while listening to Mega Death on massive speakers while boondocking at Moab.
Rich, you and Cindy are very cool; way too cool for this rig, for sure! Yes, you will be standing on the (potentially wet) ground using that receptacle attached to an ungrounded power system (rubber tires). I sure hope that it’s GFCI in the breaker panel and the sticker just fell off. Those speakers sticking right into the living space are sort of crazy to me and the fact that they’re warm means they’re just sitting there sucking power. I must say that our 2021 25FBQ has a subwoofer tucked underneath a bench which is a nice addition, even when playing the music at low volumes. We hope you had a great rally! We’re so sorry that we had to turn back en route and missed it. 😕 Safe travels! Brent and Betsy
WHAT??! "They are going to come off" LOL. Good points Watt Woman!! Very interesting model. Too cool for us too! Thanks for showing us. - Jim & Michelle
Watt woman!! Haaaaaa… Yessss!!!! 😂 Not sure how I feel about the wrap. Hmmmmm. 🤔 My first thought is it cheapens it. Maybe itll grow on me. Overall Im with you guys. Too “cool” for me, but I prefer the trailers any day. I dont like to marry my camper with a drivetrain. Thats just me. Great review guys!!! ❤ Ughhh such a long wait til next Tuesday………..
Thanks for watching! The aluminum wrap (sans dopey fake rivets) really does look great. The question is - how will it look in 20 years? Watt Women sends her greetings. Next Tuesday will be the coolest trailer (not Airstream) we have ever seen. We'll then dump an extra video as we arrive at the International Airstream Rally in Sedalia...
Thanks for watching! Yes, if we had thought about it we should have searched out some Class A's or even a Super C Nexus Wraith to show what $343,000 can buy.
Maybe the speakers are to scare the wildlife away when remote camping. I disconnected and removed the big subwoofer under the lounge in our 2013 International and junked it 5 years ago. Now that's were the Airstream bag stays.
Obviously you are NOT the demographic group that Airstream is targeting this van towards. My thoughts are that they are building only 30 for a couple of reasons.....1) EXPENSIVE 2) Airstream ONLY wants 30 people mad at them because it WILL BE IN the SHOP A LOT.
Thanks for watching! You are exactly correct - we are not the demographic Airstream is targeting. If I had a man bun and $343,000 with a desire to listen to Black Sabbath whilst boondocking in Yosemite, I might have their ear...
Thanks for watching! I do have to admit that in college I had a 1979 Trans Am with the "Screaming Chicken" on the hood ala Smokey and the Bandit. At the time I thought it was pretty cool.
I am guessing someone will buy them, but there is nothing that appeals to me on this van. The bed is in the wrong position for me. I am too old to climb in and out of bed. Is it a gas burner? $343 is way out of my price range! Safe travels
I simply don't understand the need for all those speakers; especially when boondocking. What happened to enjoying nature and the peace and quiet when out in nature?
Thanks for watching! We could not agree more. In nature, why would you not want to listen to the owls and birds. At a KOA, you're just a jerk if you crank those.
Thanks for watching! Yup. Not for us either. We've had our Airstream for 22 years. I wonder how that wrap and the rivet stickers will look like in in 2046...

Roflmao!!!!!!!! The man buns… Im crying!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@LuvSubbin 🙄 okay boomers.
@@nm8834 Yea, I'm probably going to get some hate from the International Society of Man Bunners...
@@shekharmoona544 Well..... Sorry to disappoint but were too young to be boomers. More appropriate would be "Okay Gen X'ers"...

see you both soon in Sedalia!!
We're on our way as we speak!

Thanks guys! Sometimes it's fun to be in the "not so cool club". We'll see how that wrap holds up after 20 years...
P.S. we did decorate the silver GMC van that is our tow vehicle with a 1 inch strip belly wrap with rivets.
Thanks for watching! Yes, I've seen it and it looks great! I'm not sure how a full wrap will hold up after 20 years...
It looks like you had a cameo of Patrick Botticelli of Colonial AS.
Thanks for watching! Good eyes! I think we did. In the previous video we captured his B190 van without knowing it was his.
Airstream is nuts.
Yes, Airstream is nuts. So are the people that sold Pet Rocks in 1975. Nuts but they laughed their way to the bank.
@@LuvSubbin😂😂😂
@@LuvSubbinDont forget the people that bought the dirt from Yankee Stadium!!! 🙄🙄🙄

Great video of the craziest idea A/S has ever pursued! I’d by a Grech.

Wraps are the thing
Wraps are indeed a thing. But how will they look 20 years from now? Not a thing I would bet...
@@LuvSubbin There will be a whole new thing 😂
I understand those awnings are difficult to put away
Thanks for watching. Interesting. I would have loved Airstream to have given us a demo.
MSRP of $343,000 for a Class B Van. You have to be out of your mind. It will be on sale next year for $149,000.
Thanks for watching! Yes, if we had thought about it we should have searched out some Class A's or even a Super C Nexus Wraith to show what $343,000 can buy.
I'm just not cool enough for this thing. I'll stick with my flying cloud! See you in Sedalia!
Thanks for watching and we'll look forward to seeing you in Sedalia as well. In this case, I am very happy to be "not cool enough".

Yes, they will certainly be powerful enough to scare any wildlife (and humanity) away. We would much rather listen to owls and crickets.
110^~~♡
I enjoy the video you re the best l want to have a good relationship so lm going there 🎁

I’m not buying a $200K camper van. But, if I did I wouldn’t put a crappy wrap on it. It just looks dump.
Thanks for watching! Correction: a $343,000 camper van. It will be interesting to see how that wrap holds up over time.
I am guessing someone will buy them, but there is nothing that appeals to me on this van. The bed is in the wrong position for me. I am too old to climb in and out of bed. Is it a gas burner? $343 is way out of my price range! Safe travels
Thanks Cotton Tales! Yes, we are too old for this as well. If we ever need a non-towable Airstream for that price we will get an Atlas...

Rebody a Toyota Coaster before doing this.
I admittedly had to Google "Toyota Coaster". Yes, that would be a better option.
@@LuvSubbinsome of them are 4x4 and Aussies have done 5.7 liter Toyota swaps and converted them to Motorhomes.
Definitely not what I am looking for.
Thanks for watching! Yes, I think it is a very niche market they are going after with this model.
