I heard that Hans Zimmer channeled the pain of losing his own father into the Lion King OST. That's why it's so heartfelt. This man put his ALL into making the music.
Mufasas a great father man. Rather than grilling Simba and telling him he's a naughty cub he instead taught him a lesson and reassured him that NO matter what, even if he makes mistakes, his father and all the fathers before him would be watching down on him to guide him.
Better than the dumb/grumpy dads these days.
Mufasa: *does it in Lion King The Remakeboot*
Thats what every parent should have, rather than punishing their kid they should teach them a lesson
@Skystormsong Posts I know but, it's something that could inspire parents how to act to their kid if they do something wrong.
tell me about it. i love that even tho hes pissed he tries not 2 scare him or make him upset & be gentle. hes just talking 2 simba instead of yelling at him like most parents. he even changes his tone when simbas trying not 2 cry, says hes only brave when he has 2 be & the one thing he was scared of was losing him. its soooo sad that this is their last time 2gether but at least its a good & happy one. r.i.p. mufasa :’( youll always be the best fictional dad ever & always be in our hearts :’( fuck u scar 4 killing ur own brother!!! just fuck u!!!
Watching this scene after knowing mufasa will die is the saddest thing on earth...
I agree
+lifeasfloor Yes!!!! :'( I cry every time
stop hurting me with your words and reminders
Right?
I have always to cry
What a wonderful childhood. When the drums burst in, you can't keep it dry. So deeply beautiful and full of emotion.
Same... Lion King soundtrack makes me cry everytime i watch the animation...
Naomi i agree with you
When I heard this it's sounds like an old north Korean creepy ice cream truck
The best score of all time hands down
This has to be...HAS TO BE the most beautiful piece of music to have ever been created!!!
Schindler's List has amazing music as well. By John Williams another good composer.
'' Look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us from those stars ''
Kratos Badass "The past is the past, Orkos!"
so whenever you feel alone just remember those kings will always be there to guide you and so am i
The most painful scene 😭😭when he says ” and so will I”💔
'' pumba have you heard such thing before? Ahahaha ''
you must never go there simba
At first, it's all, oh the nostalgia, the feels! You really appreciate the emotion in the music and then around 1:26 it builds into this sucker punch of goosebumps and spine shivers that just leaves you fit to cry because you can see the scene perfectly.
Nemo M l
I wish this would be the north Korean anthem
1:28... Too much for my heart to handle.
Such a masterpiece. Thanks, mr. Zimmer 💜
Mufasa saves Simba 😢
Yesterday I have been to a concert of the 'The world of Hans Zimmer' Tour in Oberhausen, Germany.
I had goosebumps for over two hours. The audience got to know a lot of background information on the different scores. There were behind the scenes interviews. And actually there is a very sad story behind the score of 'The Lion King' which is by the way my favourite score of Hans Zimmer. Hans Zimmer could identify himself with Simba because he as well lost his father at a young age. Now I do understand why this score sounds so extremely emotional. It is a requiem for his father. Thank you Hans Zimmer for your work. You inspire me so much.
oOMissNatalieOo very insightful
Thank you for commenting this, provide so much context. The end of "To Die For" makes pretty obvious that in fact it's a Requiem, like you already pointed.
I was thaire too!! It was great! Greatings 🙂
1:55 sooo emotional im litteraly crying ;""( so beautiful and amazing i truly love this movie and mufasas quiotes especially at this scene where the track is on
Best movie and best soundtrack ever :') Thanks Disney and Hans Zimmer
Tess The Lioness
So true😍
I like your avatar
This helps with my anxiety so much. Really helps me to calm and puts tears to my eyes but happy tears. My childhood was amazing thanks to lion king
By 1:29 I literally burst out in tears it's so beautiful and emotional:(
Alessa Sapkin me to
Yeah, Mi childhood!!
Same!
Me too...I wept so much...
I think with the songs from the film being so big, this beautiful soundtrack is sometimes overlooked. Get shivers every time
Hanz zimmer is the fucking man. His music is always amazing even though time from inception and he music from 12 years a slave sound a lot the same. I watched Chappie the other day and loved the score, I didn't realise it was hanz till I looked it up. He is a genius
Yes, Pirates of the Caribbean, Kung Fu Panda and many others
Surtout la BO de Da Vinci Code. Epic!
HellBoy as well!
"Remember who you are"
-The Lion King 👑😍💖
Even without picturing the scene this is one beautiful piece of music. I’m at peace when I listen to this.
What a powerful piece, bravo Mr Zimmer, you've reduced me to a puddle of tears.
''This melody breaks my heart out ' ' Simba .. Remember who you are '
The build-up from 1:54.... ❤. Crying.
My Great Grandfather has.. I mean had the same voice, as Mufasa did...Yes..He had, because He is not alive anymore...He even had the same personality as Mufasa, I mean He was wise, polite, brave at the WW2, he even tried to give a helping hand to his "enemies"..He was a true gentleman...When I am listening this melody, it always reminds me of Him, and I wish i could introduce Him to my wife and my future children...He teached me, how to live a life without regrets, and what are the true qualities that matters in our circle of life....Rest In Peace Great Granddad, You are The King Of My Past! :'(
omg i hope now you feel better thats so tired :((((
May his soul rest in peace😓
Thank you guys..I'm happy for your good wishes :)
Very nicely written
Zoltan Szépréthy I have the same feeling hearing this song with my father :)
The last moment they have together :(.
Just like Hamlet
STOP! 😭 I’m almost 15 yet I still cry when I hear this melody
This is the last scene Simba and Mufasa had before he died I think...
Sammyyam I wish We get to see Simba and Mufasa spend more time together in the Live Action Lion King🙂
True...
@@Priderockstarlion But it will not be very emotional, because their faces dont move.
Yup
When Mufasa help Simba was the last
To all the people who supported this song, brothers sisters, be with me in peace
Mufasa's laughter is supposed to be at 1:28 lol.. it was great
Imagine if there was another continuation to the story after TLK2. And Simba dies in it and this plays when he meets again with Mufasa. And they run around just like they used to in the old days.
"Dad, we're pals, right?"
Oh well, guess I'll just keep on writing fanfic.
What a wonderful childhood we had ❤️
Much better then the new one (wich i am not a hater of, but that's true)
The best song I have ever heard, thank u mufasa for your words of wisdom
Wow Han Zimmer?
I'm not surprised.
that man is a genius.
I actually had no idea he made the soundtrack for Lion King
Makes me cry every single time.... Epic, powerfull and sad, all at once
This part makes me cry because I remember when I was looking at the stars just like in this scene. I was remembering the moments of where I was happy with my mother. We were laughing and playing together. Once I asked her: Mother, will you be always with me? She smiled and said yes, and then she hugged me. Few months later my father, my brother and I returned home when we heard my mother screaming. She was rushed to the hospital and then the doctor gave her the wrong injection and then she died. She promised that she would stay with me forever but she didn't. Every day I think of her and how happy I was before...
I’m sorry to hear that. My maternal grandpa passed away two years ago.
@@GeneralHeavy I am so sorry. Life is so difficult. I can't believe that everyone has to die one day. We get old but we still have at least one flaw. I can't even count how many times I wished that someone dead returns.
@@larica208 I always remembered him helping out with homeworks and his jokes
@@GeneralHeavy Yeah, my mother was also telling a lot of jokes. I never expected that she would end like this. So sad
@@larica208 One thing important is that she'll always be in your heart.
2018 and still going strong..this is timeless
hello from the end of 2021
2022 and this still hitting different
I think it is physically impossible to listen to this without getting goose bumps
this was one of the parts of the move that maked me cry, the lion king is the best disney films of all times
In 8th grade we did lion king jr as the school play, I was in the technical theater department moving the setpices and one of the only things I remember from then is this pice of music, whenever I have or will listen to this, it will always take me back to the show and my times in middle school, and that’s a gift nothing else could give me
I'm at my 16's and I still crying with this theme, I always remember that movie night with my father
Same man. Watched this when I was 8 and now that I'm 16 I thought I could get over it, until this appeared in my recommendations which got my lying my head at my table and sobbing.
1:29
Instant chills
This gives me shivers down my spine..... In a good way!
1:22 >1:41 👌👌👌
Zla Tan 😣😢😢😢😢😢😢
Zla Tan C'est la base 🤞🏼
Is Perfect,😢👌🔊🎶
Beautiful.
It was summer 1994. My cousins and I at the theater watching this on the big screen. Going home and just roaring on the ride home. Those memories will never be forgotten. This song opened a river of forgotten feelings and emotions.
my brother & i r twins & we were born in 94. we just turned 28 on tuesday. it came out four days b4 our cousin was born
Makes you cry no matter your age
The drums.... OH GOD A TEAR
PrinceAliTheGrea
I've got chills... This is so emotional. This movie made me become a passionate, intelligent and very understanding person. This movie is a true emotional and powerful masterpiece!
1:10 and I’m crying :( I will never get over Mufasa’s death.
I've read recently that they are going to make a remake of the Lion King like they did with the Jungle Book. My only condition is to keep the music. If the score and plot will remain the same, then it can't be messed up too badly. This music is talking to your soul... It doesn't matter what you see if you can listen to this.
mynameisvampka I've read it too. I think it's not a good idea, but you're right. If the music will be the same, the film will be okay too.
It’s been confirmed that Hans Zimmer, Elton John, and Tim Rice are returning for the remake.
@@keko8887 good
Hans Zimmer is returning to rescore it! I'm so happy!
LiggyCat bro but they really cutting be prepared 🤧😪 I ain’t about that tbh
The amount of love in this music brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. Thank you Disney. This is the best movie ever 💗💗
i love it, so many emotions :) :') :'( Mufasa and Simba
This theme makes me cry😭
Am I the only ??
No
I am not crying.
It's a rainy day.
Oh same here everytime
1:20 THE EPICNESS!!
I remember this scene and I'm still crying 😢.
I think I like this scene and score so much because it shows the relationship between simba and mufasa. I love that, wish I had the same. I feel as if I'm simba and my dad is giving me advice.
Hans zimmer thanks for this masterpiece...!!
1:04 that part makes me so emotional.
Man, it just hits ya.
It hurts a lot hear at this again un the cinema while you see Simba and Mufasa playing... Knowing what is going to happen. :(
This song gives me chills.
Tellement de perfection en seulement deux minutes.. Trop d'émotions pour moi :'(
Oui!!! Tellement trop d'accord!
enfin j est trouvais des français oui je suis d accord un humain rêveur elle a temps d émotion cette musicale moi elle me fais penser a France Portugal final euro 2016
I cry everytime when i heard this song...
I always think of this song when someone over 100 passes away. The loss of links to our history and ancestors only known in stories and legend.
The goosebumps which this piece sends every single time is utterly unmatched... 😭😭😭
Watching the lion king didn’t really bring a tear to my eye it was really the soundtrack the music made me cry and also the movie because the scenes were just sad 😢😊
Even if you're seeing the Lion King for the first time listening to Mufasa's theme you can feel the tragedy coming which makes the scene where Scar kills him hit harder.
Really I miss this film 😢😢
oh man this is the sad side of the force
Omg you Looks like Michael Jackson
It is Michael Jackson you idiot lmao
This makes me think of my father and I. It makes me think how our relationship is just either fighting or not talking because we have nothing to talk about. I don't remember the last time my dad and I hugged (he has strong aversion to touch) or heard "I love you" (I stopped telling him that because he always thought I try to manipulate him to get me something when I honestly didn't). Now he's in his 50's and abusing alcohol. He drinks so much of strong alcohols and my mom and I are freaking out that his body won't endure it for much longer. I'm afraid I'll lose him and the relationship between us will always be this broken thing.
What a poor soul you are. I know it's been some time now, and you probably won't reply, but how are things now between you and your dad?
Everytime, when I hear this song, I need to cry so much..this is amaizing, how feelings has it at me
I see this scene for the First time when i was 5 Years old .. now i m 25.. when i listened this Song i wanted to hug my father so hard and ask him if we are Friends . Now.. that's the same. Every time i see this scene my Memories took me to the past and a lot of times make me cry
Where did all those onions come from?
Thank you Mr. Zimmer.
Very grateful to have experienced The Lion King in my childhood.
Mufasa, in his fatherly love, placed it in Simba's heart to look upwards in order to be guided safely to his destination:
Young Simba: Dad?
Mufasa: Hmm?
Young Simba: We'll always be together right?
Mufasa: Simba, let me tell you something my father told me. Look at the stars, the great kings of the past are up there, watching over us.
Young Simba: Really?
Mufasa: Yes. So whenever you feel alone just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you and so will I.
When Mufasa appeared to his son in the clouds, Simba remembered all these words and pondered them in his heart.
One of my favorite scenes
So sad 😢😭😔
Just knowing that this is the last scene between Simba and Mufasa before he died just makes me cry!
Totally just got 0:36 ... wow. One of my favourite movie scores of all time, has totally stood the test of time, as great composing should.
🧏♂️👍
Haha cause no one messes with your dad, come here you!
How is this music for a cartoon ! It feels like an epic soundtrack for a super epic movie ! It elevated the entire movie imo✌️
This always makes me cry because of how beautiful the music is.
It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this.
same
Wow I didn't know this was Hans Zimmer, incredible.
oh my God! this music is so...so incredibly wonderful and yet so sad!!! I love it!!!
The best Soundtrack ever 👍
... this is a master peice.
This song makes me so emotional
Hans Zimmer is amazing man
This gives me the chills everytime.
I might cry just remembering siba's voice and this music
Just perfect
Like the soundtrack of Pirates of the Caribbean, Kung Fu Panda, Transformers and your smile.
The Lion King soundtrack creates unique emotions. I have never heard something that moved me like this piece of art.
I wonder if the editors or creators of the music theme started crying when making it bc it’s really impossible not to
It is a masterpiece
Watching this movie, I always think about me and my dad. He's still around of course, but when mufasa dies, it makes me think that eventually, my dad will die and I'll be without him. And I cry every time.
Not to be dark but you could always die before him as well. Life is uncertain.
Its been 20 years since the first time i heard this . 💔
Just thinking about this song makes me cry.
So sensitive.
Music = Feelings Overload
😪
God thank you I know Hans Zimmer' s music, I wish everybody know his music 😍
goosebumps all over my body, Hans Zimmer is amazing.
That's the kind of Music that fits a scenario where the Parent apologizes to their kids
"Thanks, Sitka. If it weren't for you, I would've never met Kenai." Hits the same.
Crying my eyes out
So sad yet beautiful at the same time.
There are basically 3 things we experience for the last time in this scene. Simba and Mufasa together, Simba and Nala together as children and Simbas original confidence. This scene is worse when you know what is coming up ahead.
Que banda sonora mas increíble. Hans Zimmer Genio!
