- We work hard to construct our yurt in one day, our home until the log cabin is built. Our new friend Derek guides us step by step on how to construct it & we have a little fun along the way. We are so excited about this next step in our family adventure of moving from Raleigh to the mountains of Virginia!
I just love the way everyone chips in to help! Great family relationships!
We are very blessed!
This is experience is definitely bringing us all closer together!
Dan came back one night...
I missed this one due to UA-cam not sending me a notification, which seems to be par for the course. But I came back and watched it as well as others I’ve not been notified about. Love the family unity of your family more families need to go back to this unity and God in America! ❤️👍
It's frustrating that you aren't alway getting notified. I'm glad you are still checking in to see us!
@@freedomranchhomestead7961 yeah just mention it in video to tell people that UA-cam is sometimes failing to send notifications to the UA-cam App but they send them to email 📧 or vise Versa. Well some people like myself may go months and not look at my emails 📧 unless I’m expecting something important. So I check my UA-cam notifications the most for uploaded vids and they have a big habit of either not sending people notifications or they unsubscribe people from channels without their consent. Which I think should be illegal because it not only hurts the people watching.....It mostly hurts the channel creators the most!!! Because first it keeps them from growing and it robs them of $$$$ they could be getting from ad revenue which is how UA-camrs make money is thru the ads that people watch as they watch the videos. So unless people like myself who watches numerous channels writes down in a notebook 📓 the names of all the channels they’re subbed to then if UA-cam unsubscribes them from a new channel like yours then they might not remember the the name of the channel to go resubscribe. They have unsubscribed me from your channel also but I luckily being from NC connected to you guys so I had remembered Freedom Ranch and went back in and resubscribed. But you need to tell your followers to please check to make sure they are getting their notifications. Because views & thumbs up 👍 likes on ur vids really help your channel on the UA-cam algorithms when it comes to suggesting your videos and channels to other folks who watch similar channels. Good luck 🍀👍 Love ❤️ you Guys ! CC Rider
I had not seen all of the video, but it is amazing and congratulations to all! Amy home this afternoon. Thanks for not overwhelming her with work! Get camerawork also and video editing.
Thank you pops!! We loved having Amy here helping us. She and Gabe worked really well together ❤️
Amazing!!!!
Thank you!! So fun seeing it go up so quickly!
Great job on the yurt! Can't wait to see it finished. Keep those videos coming.
Thank you Tom!!
Beautiful
Thank you! Can’t wait for the interior to get done.
This is so exciting. I feel like I’m there with you all. It’s looking awesome
Thank you! We appreciate you joining us on the journey!
Derek was a rockstar!
Awesome stuff Andersons!
Thank you Spence!
You will have to bring the family up sometime and visit!
Awesome, wonderful! Can’t wait to see the whole Yurt put together. And, so glad you guys are feeling well. Love, Dad and Amy
Congratulations on the next step of your journey! I must have missed the part of how big the yurt is. Will you build lofts for sleeping areas? What will you do with the yurt once your log house is finished?
The yurt is 30ft in diameter and yes, we will be building a loft. The downstairs will have a bedroom and a bathroom walled off and the loft will be above. When we move into the cabin we will use the yurt for guests (maybe a rental).
@@freedomranchhomestead7961 Thank you for always responding.
I am so excited for you guys!
I think you should tell us 100 more times the place you bought it from and how big it is!
Is there a video that talks about where you got the Yurt from and what your plan for layout was before you started?
I do believe in the new roof on our yurt video I mention we got the yurt from Blue Ridge Yurts in Floyd, VA. They are the #1 supplier on the East coast of the US. As for the layout, I had researched other yurt floor plans and designed it out myself as to how it would function best for us. We made some tweaks to it as we were building and figured out how best to build the loft as we were going along. Are you thinking of getting a yurt?
@@freedomranchhomestead7961 thank you so much. Yes we are. I just came across you guys and am watching every day to get caught. We bought raw land and want to do a yurt until we build a house. So excited to keep watching you guys.
Did you get your yurt from Blue Ridge yurts? We ordered ours a few weeks ago. Can't wait to move in!
We did get it from Blue Ridge yurts! You will love it!
Beautiful! How big is this yurts diameter in meters?
Thank you! It is 30 feet in diameter, about 705 sqft
Did anyone catch the subtle dig Brie made on her big brothers? As our little friend Finley says she “roasted” them😎
Brooke how was your trip ? Did you see Yurt Deck Mountain up close and personal face to face ?
Lol 😂🤣🤣
Yes, indeed I did 😂! I was "up and ok"!
@@freedomranchhomestead7961 😆 that was hilarious but I know it probably hurt ur pride on camera more than anything but you took it like a champ and I’m happy you were ok but thanks for sharing ❤️😁👍
So as soon as those ropes deteriorate the entire thing collapses. Also how much snow can it hold and what wind rating does it have.
Good morning! I'm not sure what ropes you are talking about? The snow typically slides off, but if it doesn't, we take a pole inside the tent and knock it down by poking it. As for the wind, we built it in the trees which provides protection, but since the structure of round the wind just glides on past it!
How many feet across is the yurt? ⭐️
It is 15 feet across
what size Yurt is this? and which brand did you go with?
It is 30' with 7' walls. We bought it through Blue Ridge Yurts in Floyd, VA
How tall is it from your floor to your ceiling?
The exterior walls are 7 feet high and my guess for the center point would be about 18-20 feet.
how many m2 (feet) ?
30 feet with 7 foot high side walls
I hate Yuppie-Yurt scum.
So does Dan 'your builder'.
He just won't say so.
