Well! I binged-watched all your videos, and now I'm excited for you to be joining us too - but oh my, you should make a BookTube Newbie Tag if you have the time - it's the kind of general-interest introduction everybody looks for when they find a new channel
Off topic but immediately thought of you once the Cormac McCarthy news came out. Obviously it's terrible but, the writing was on the wall (or the page) in retrospect.
I get the feeling that the _Longmire_ books and the _Longmire_ series is one of the closest matches in terms of book-to-screen adaptations. Maybe because I saw the series first, but Johnson seems to be channeling Robert Taylor, seeing into the future and to the adaptations of the books he's writing.
I'm not familiar with Peter Godwin at all, but I thought the premise of Exit Wounds sounded fabulous, and in a moment of book tube synergy it was the last book on Eric Karl Anderson's last video that I watched just before this one, and now the first book you show. Why do you not like him?
Eric Williams is an interest figure in the politics of the end of the British Empire in the West Indies, but I'm not sure he's that important when it comes to the history of the criticism of capitalism.
I might take your suggestion and try the new Longmire novel as my first
Hey, Steve! I have not received book-mail yet, but I am so excited to be joining this amazing book community. Tooth and Claw looks interesting!

Snow in Chicago today - after last year I wondered that we might never see it again.
We had 3 inches of snow ❄️ in Chicago! ☃️
Good, as always, to listen to you Steve!
