Microsoft Access Data Macros

Microsoft Access data macros are new to MS Access in the 2019 version. These are specialized macros that are tied directly to tables and can ensure that your tables stay up-to-date for any form, query, or report without having to remember to put the calculation into the object that uses the table. This can be very useful when you have the data split from a front end or several for differing purposes.

Data macros were introduced with Access 2010. Like the video - there is little info on use of Data Macros.👍

Another great video! Just a correction, the Data Macro ability was introduced in ACCESS in the 2010 version. Often, we hear that macros are for "beginners" and not serious developers. Nothing could be further from the truth, macros have a place in the Access development cycle just like any other object. Please can you do another tutorial on Data Macros using the event properties etc.

Thanks for the video. I spent quite a bit of time googling and couldn't get my data macro to work. I was trying to use After Update to do a similar function, but changing it over to Before Change got it to work immediately.
