    Thank you. It is sad we are losing the old ways. If bad times come so many won't be able to survive. I thank you for teaching the children.

    When we in the cities are scratching each others eyes out for a drink of clean water the Dena'ina will still survive and thrive.

    Helen is a true gem. Thank you for sharing this! But more than that, I think by filming this you have done a wonderful value to the culture & Helen. It makes me very happy these skills & cultural identity is still being carried on thru education with experiences. What a woman! Thanks again.

    Never thought about fleshing hides with orbital wire brush. Doing it the old fashioned way. Lots of time and labor to do it well.

    Enjoyable. Closer to how I grew up. I have to draw 7 years for a moose now in our area. I was drawn this season & had old horn banger just ready to step out in archery season & along came 3 polaris razors. Grrrr the price of getting old & working in town. I have few days to hunt & mostly rush out in evening so had close calls but no moose just more bills. Believe it or not August here in Alberta mountains the berries are often under snow.

    It's a shame who ever produced this video chose to have the woman chanting in the back ground while we are trying to hear the narrator speak. Extremely distracting. It seems trendy to over produce a film. Trust in the material.

    not amazing and not inspirational.... they show if this is the ideal life, imagine everyone living in wood hunting beavers and muse, within days trees , wildlife , everything will be gone

    • @AmericanFoxhoundSami
      @AmericanFoxhoundSami 8 років тому +4

      +jimbo jackson No no. Everything would not be gone. Would bet that 80% of the world population would die out if they would even attempt to live like this. They have not the knowledge of living of the land. It would be survival of the fittest and the world population would go down dramatically.

      No I guess your right. How could you expect it to be amazing when you've never had to do anything with your lazy selfish life. For you to disrespect the people whose land you live on really shows your ignorance. Grow up little man and learn a "little' respect. Are you capable??

      Jimbo powermeowww you do not understand real life. God gave us dominion over the land. Not to rape it as you suggest but to be Stewart's of it and live in balance.
