- Bank holiday fishing trip. 2 days spent in the North East. Thought I'd try out the new Go Pro and editing soft ware (more user friendly). I was hoping for some early Mackerel but none showed up (I was a bit to early). There had been reports of Codling so I thought I'd chance my hand. Plenty of bait fish showed on the finder but nothing really chasing/balling them up yet. I fitted the brand new 5hp Mercury auxiliary, this is just a back up and a shunter while wreckin so as to keep the hours down on the main engine. More to come this summer, providing the summer holds and lasts!
Tough fishing, some good tips there on soft plastic fishing. Sounds like exciting plans for the rest of the season, looking forward to watching. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for a great video. I’m thinking of buying a Spectrum 480 at the moment. Is it a stable boat for fishing and would you recommend it? Your comments would be greatly appreciated
@@garrythomas1680 Hi Garry, you'll need a reply from @seaglassfishing as he's your man with the Spectrum 480. I'm an Orkney Coastliner owner myself.
Hi Garry. These are a great tuff little boat, I fish off of mine with no problem and do a bit of lobster potting as well! If your thinking of inshore sea fishing (11 miles off shore) you can't go far wrong, I'd have a 50 or 60hp for inshore. They are easy to do self upgrades on as the under deck is easily accessable. I was out yesterday (late May bank holiday) and the weather turned rough, we were in 6 to 8 feet swells with white horses and the boat steamed through it no problem. I have a group on FB for the boat Spectrum 480p owners, check it out.
