They have a big selection! I was impressed, although if truth be told I’d go for the 2 litre one just for the extra power if I were off-road.
@@AutoAtlantica I agree, tho for most people/purposes the 1.5 will do. I personally HATE the idea of anything less than a 6cyl but unfortunately in our current world we are being forced into these type of vehicles/engines (unless of course you're wealthy enough).
I have had my Bronco Sport Big Bend for about 2 years now and it is a fantastic car.
I do think this thing is so much more than a rebodied Escape though ( 2:20 ). Really the only similarities they share is the chassis.
The Bronco Sport has its own suspension system (HOSS suspension) and has higher ground clearance. Ford also says the Bronco Sport is a 4x4 however I think it is more so AWD. Either way, the 4x4 or AWD system is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the Escapes drive system. Not to mention the GOAT modes really help enhance and focus the 4x4 system to the terrain you’re in.
While they do both share a 1.5L 3-cylinder engine I’m told that these are not even quite the exact same. I cannot confirm nor deny that though.
Yes it’ has an uprated suspension and you can get full undercarriage protection, but it’s the same basic platform as the Kuga/Escape. It isn’t modified as the Ford Mondeo’s was to create the Jaguar X-Type, etc.
Back in the day you could buy a Ford Escort TC which shared nothing with the base 1100, but it used the same bones.
@@AutoAtlantica agreed the platform is the same but the Maverick also shares the platform. My point is that the platform is really the only similarity.
Full size Bronco shares platform with the Ford Ranger but it’s not a rebodied Ranger.
I think it’s important that the people who are looking at these SUV’s understand how different they are from each other.
