Man, Danielle is one of the weirdest players I've seen. She must have come from another racket sport -- and probably recently. The long swing cost her points time and time again. And the mid court positioning was wild.

Abby and Jack played solid, great work. Good hands and strategy overall. Having resets, soft game and counters would take y'all to 4.5. David and Danielle are more likely 3.5 ish. David needs to improve his footwork and shot mechanics - if he had a backhand roll at the net he would win a lot more points. Danielle needs to learn pickleball strategy. She never runs to the net after a serve return and attacks all the time (especially from transition). It's predictable and if she cannot come up to the net she'll always be targeted. She has good racket skills, just needs to add strategy and she instantly levels up.

She never runs to the net because her drive was countered deep, keeping her back.

idk if playing only from the mid court is a qualification for 4.0

I agree with the other commenter. This is not 4.0. I'm 4.0 and I would have no problem beating any combination of any of these players with a decent 4.0 partner mixed or non mixed. There's nothing wrong with being 3.5, and if you feel it's demeaning to think you're 3.5, then raise your level.

No way this is 4.0 level. Ratings must vary from state to state because this is 3.5 on the west coast
