    Add an Andozed arms and spindle kit like 1up offers I Like that. The main reason I bought the mach 2 was because of weight it can handle, Anti-wobble design, Also the fact it has security that the 1up didn't. Bigger wheel lock pins as well.

    I’m sold and am patiently waiting on my order. Your rack clearly looks like the best one out there to me! Any update on how the production and backlog queue is coming along?

    I am considering placing an order but my fat tire bike has fenders. Would seem to work okay on the front but not sure how I could make this work on rear. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you for the demonstration. What keeps a would-be thief from loosening the sliders or opening the arms and taking the bike? Any security measures built in to the rack? The previous generation has the “lollipop locks” to secure the wheels to the arms, anything like that or other feature for the Mach2?

    • @djxpress
      @djxpress 4 роки тому +2

      yep, I have the "lollipop" locks for my 1Up. They give me peace of mind.

      We took some measurements, and it looks like the 1up wheel locks designed for their fat bike rack would fit on the Mach2... but obviously would require a different key. I really hope Quikrstuff makes some similar wheel locks that can be keyed the same as the rest of the rack’s locks.

      Great question. We want the Mach2 to have all the bells and whistles, while still remaining competitively priced with other 4-bike systems. Wheel locks are on our radar.

      @@fatboyzmtb2264 I agree. That price is crazy!! Almost $1k for a bike rack and extension. I had the 1 1/2" 1Up with the adapter and it never wobbled as much as this one. Now I have a 2" 1UP rack and it's like a tank.

      @@fatboyzmtb2264 The Mach2 is priced to reflect its ease-of-use, which is unrivaled thanks to our 100% no-tools design. It's the rack you know and love, but "QuikR!" We want the Mach2 to have all the bells and whistles, while still remaining competitively priced with other 4-bike systems. Wheel locks are on our radar.
      - You simply drop the Add-on into place like a puzzle piece and turn the red latches to secure.
      - Our rack and Add-ons also fold in half for easy carrying / storage, which comes in handy if you're not always hauling the same number of bikes.
      - We also have a unique 1-key anti-theft system, which locks the rack into the hitch and the Add-ons together with a simple push-button barrel lock and key.
      - Another advantage is the no-tools tire spool adjustment, which allows you to quickly slide the tire spool up or down to accommodate different sized tires without tools.
      - The redesigned hitch uses two aluminum pads instead of the old steel ball, which would deform over time and could not be replaced.
      - We've also replaced the bumpy glide bar with a smooth one, which won't wear out and become the equivalent of a seatbelt that keeps locking.
      Note: Bryan is using an aftermarket hitch adapter in this video, which has more play than the standard 2". Please see Bryan demo the 2" here: facebook.com/watch/?v=933535000499845&extid=pShq6sX7brcVX7vN. Our next product will be a 1-1/4" to 2" convertible hitch.

    Thank-you. Couple questions:
    1. Does a single rack have to be totally level on left and right side? I’m noticing the left side of rack is lower than the right side of rack. Used a leveler to confirm. Tried jiggling the hitch and still doesn’t look level. Thanks for any feedback.

    That screech is horrible with the arms. The 1up is smooth and doesn't make that noise.

    • @tullynation
      @tullynation 4 роки тому

      Agreed! But my 1up makes a loud clacking unless I hold the levers at just the right angle - looks like you can do the same with the Mach2. Still, this technique is only useful for the large movements of the arms; when you’re tightening them to the wheels, it’s still going to make a clack (1up) or, apparently, screech (Mach2).

      QuikRStuff is a brand-new company dedicated to one thing: making the golden standard of bike racks. It is priced to reflect its ease-of-use, which can't be matched thanks to the no-tools design.
      With the inventor of the original Quik Rack in our corner, you can expect his latest model, the Mach2, to be the industry standard. It’s lightweight, modular, and can handle 300 lbs. Cal’s racks have stood the test of time and we know some of you are willing to invest in the best.
      We are also 100% American-made, which naturally poses cost challenges, but we remain competitively priced with other 4-bike systems. We're proud to support American ingenuity, especially during a time when small businesses need our business now more than ever!

      I agree on the snooze, snail-paced production but damn... this bike rack is truly TOP NOTCH and they've address all of 1UP's shortcomings. The problem is, you might as well call them Mach2 Unicorns because at this rate, they don't exist. You need to drop the "Quik" from your company name and name it SlowR Stuff.
