The friendship between Bangladesh and India is essentially a friendship between Bangladesh Awami League (Political Party) and India. It is a friendship aimed at making Bangladesh subservient to India with the help of Awami League. By using the pretext of combating Islamic fundamentalism and protecting minority rights, the Indian dream is to put Awami League in power by force and keep it in power indefinitely so that it can exploit Bangladesh like it did before.

We had a war with Pakistan in 1971. Does that mean we have to carry it on for a lifetime? We still believe that the separation in 1971 was very significant, but that does not mean India should consider us their colony. India joined us in 1971 for their own interests, which you can still see today. India and its media are spreading misinformation about our country. None of India's neighbors have good relations with them-does that mean all the neighbors are bad, or is it India? Just as we will never forget 1971, we will also never accept India’s post-war aggression in any way. The relationship was only with **Awami League**, not with Bangladesh as a whole.

You talked about India sheltering refugees in 1971? Well, **we, an underdeveloped country, have been sheltering hundreds of thousands of Rohingya refugees for years**. Our issue is not with the people of India but with some ignorant media outlets and Modi’s hardline Hindutva supporters, who get agitated just at the mention of Muslims.
If we must go further back, let’s go to 1947. Back then, this was the Indian subcontinent-**we were all together**. How did dividing the land based on Hindu-Muslim identity leave our two countries (Pakistan and Bangladesh) on opposite ends? I fail to understand.
Finally, let me make it clear that **we are a sovereign nation, and we will not accept any interference in our internal matters from anyone**.

Bangladesh will have a very strong relationship with China and will likely become a member of ASEAN as well. Bangladesh has already diversified its economy to reduce its trade deficit with India. If Bangladesh moves away from India, Eastern India will suffer economically. Regarding Pakistan, we would not mind opening our market to them. India must hand over Hasina to Bangladesh for trial; otherwise, the relationship between the two countries might deteriorate.
In terms of regional security, Bangladesh will never allow any foreign country to use its land to harm India, as we simply want to prosper and are deeply culturally connected with India. Any harm to India would backfire on us as well, and vice versa.
China has already taken the initiative to share its expertise in healthcare, even though Bangladesh is well-equipped in this sector. Only a small number of uninformed individuals seek treatment in India. Most Bangladeshis in need of critical healthcare travel to Singapore or China. However, India receives its third-highest remittance from Bangladesh. I believe India would be significantly affected if it worsened its relationship with Bangladesh over the issue of Hasina.

As a Pakistani I need to clarify somethings, Pakistani & Bengali people have never been enemies they were & still are brothers who love each other the Bengalis fought against the Pakistani military establishment as power was not given to Mujib ur Rehman who won 167 seats but instead given to Bhutto who only won 50 seats the East Pakistanis resisted this robbery of their mandate and the Pakistani military establishment responded with brute force as a result the country was broken in two and all the time there was a media blackout in West Pakistan & we didn’t have a clue what was going on.
The Pakistani military establishment has once again stolen the mandate from Imran Khan who won 187 seats and gave it to Nawaz Sharif who only won 17 seats, they tried to kill Imran Khan when he got shot but he survived and now he’s in prison on bogus fabricated & politically motivated, they have killed journalists, they have abducted and tortured men, women & children. We, the new generation, aspire to build a prosperous relationship with Pakistan for our future safeguard our sovereignty, free from any external influence, particularly Indian hegemony.
