I respectfully disagree, I have two bubblers (a sherlock bubbler and a double chamber sherlock bubbler) and while at first cleaning was a challenge I found all you gotta do is make sure the carb is facing up towards you before you dump your ash and use a poker to stir out the ash. And since there's less water than a bong you need to replace it after every bowl. The hits are way better than a dry pipe imo.
They're the best kind of smoking instrument that isn't a bong, while also being the worst kind of bong. Dry pipes are better in certain circumstances, like for convenience of use, concealability etc. But bubblers/hammers are like really good pipes that are cumbersome to use in situations where you'd want to use a pipe, and in other situations you can usually just use a bong. Would be cool to take to a skate spot where a bong would be super obvious or to bring to a mates if you know there's gonna be like 5 people sharing one bong or something like that. They're not bad, and not useless, but they fall weirdly into niches that other things fill and have a bit more versatility, but aren't really the best at anything. That being said, I've wanted one since highschool aha. Just never been able to justify buying one when I have two bongs and only really smoke at home. To each their own though, not like you're smoking blunts lmao
Currently bubbling my Bubb and if designed right they are in my opinion superior to bongs for some reason I always break a stars size bong never dropped the bubbies though neva neva nevah
@@lavxll66 tobacco pipe tool might be helpful, the pipe knife could probably be used for scooping the ash, not going to try it with mine because I like keeping my green and tobacco pipes separate, different way of smoking for different purposes.
Bubblers are awesome. They are perfect for kicking back on the couch and smoking away. Hits smooth, don't have to think about it. Plus I can take my bubbler down to the creek to smoke, can't say I can do the same with my 18" beaker.
This is the main reason I'm considering getting a bubbler. I love my bong but when I go out I'm forced to roll a joint. Gotta get me a small bubbler to keep on my backpack.
@@cewpins Well yea. An apple and a glass dry pipe are a little different too but mechanically they are both just dry pipes. Same with bongs and bubblers. I got a 5 inch bong that needs new water just as much as any bubbler. If I tip it over it spills just like a bubbler. And it hits just like a bubbler. Just has a bigger rush hole.
Reasons why Bubblers are badass: inexpensive, many styles to choose from. easy to clean with q tips, alcohol and salt, smooth hits, portable, better tasting hits than dry pipes
idk I've just blown into the bowl and it seems to clear it out pretty easily, and if there's anything left you can just wipe it out. I'll say you should do that after every bowl as if you wait you can still clean it, it will just be a bit more nasty and sticky from resin. I don't really use bubblers but I DO use joint bubblers, they kinda solve that problem by having the entire flower held in a nice convenient package without making the "bowl" dirty since it's just a hole for the joint.
Nah bro, I imagine him ranting in the vid the same way he looks in the thumbnail. Just absolutely raging. Disappointed every time cuz it's never the case. Cewpins is still the 🐐
Bubblers are tiny bongs with carb holes and some hate clearing when you hit it and others just stink no matter what you clean them with, they're cheap and messy but you can smoke out of it so who am I to be so picky
I pick my bubblers based off If I can get a q tip thru the holes . They are super easy to clean I just drop it in a ziplock bag with alcohol and salt. Let it soak and shake it up. The trick to keeping a bubbler clean is after every session dump the old water out and rinse with clean water and let air dry. I’m not a heavy smoker I’d say 3 bowls in a day
MJ Arsenals are all flat bottom, you just set it down- goes nowhere. Their Vulcan is a nice solid piece for me, few good rips + all set. Cleaning is same as a dry pipe, easy.
for my portable electric dry herb vape i will use a little calyx bubbler adapter and it definitely makes a difference. with a normal stem i can take normal hits but go too hard and my throat will be killing me. with the bubbler i can pretty much suck nonestop till the bowl is done, it really makes it a lot smoother and is so worth it.
I totally agree with you pins. Regular bubblers I find are only good for small time smokers. But if you're a heavy smoker they get dirty weight too fast. And I had a five chamber butler, and even though only the first chamber would get hella hella dirty, you could still taste it through all four of the other water filters. But if you're a light weight, they're really good cuz a lot of lightweight smokers can't handle full Bong rips. Now scientific glass bubbles are a totally different beast.. or as you called it ones with removable bowls. They have big chambers with elaborate percolators, so they dirty more like a bong.
Bubblers to me are not my daily drivers. I prefer my beakers or my straight tubes, but they are fun to add into the mix every now and then just to spice things up. Taking a break from quality glass and sparking some joints or using pipes/bubblers once in a while is a fun change of pace. They also make you appreciate your good glass that much more when you return to the fold.
Honestly I like bubblers because tiny pieces are more enjoyable for me than whipping out a bong every time to smoke. You really do have to remember there’s water in there when you ash it though 💀 I usually just tilt it to the side without the carb, and dust out the screen (which keeps the water from getting dirty, by the way).
In Caribbean Jamaican culture what you call a “bubbler” we call it a “chalice” smoked by Rastafarians really popularized by them not exclusively to them. then we got a “chillum pipe” that’s what you would call a “dry pipe”🤷🏾me personally I’m not a bong fan grew around chalices so I have more experience with those and I kinda like it more than glass we use a hose instead to inhale the smoke , and instead of a glass bowl we use a clay bowl called a “cutchie” and it has a piece that fits in the center to keep the weed from falling down into the water👍🏾…I guess it’s a cultural thing for me🤷🏾..
I'm actually looking for a metal reinforced bubbler right now to use with a vape. And your vid popped up. I agree with how it gets filthy fast, but with a vape it should be nice when im out camping
Think about this. The longer the air travels the more contact with the piece and more thc you lose. You cant carry a bong so large bubblers small bongs are where its at
I use bubbler when I dont wanna quite dirty my bong but yeah you get like 6-7 bowls before you gotta clean it with iso but its way quicker than cleaning a bong and as for cleaning the ashes from the bowl I usually just let the ashes pull through
I use a bubbler when I’m on the go and it’s not that hard to clean the bowl. Smoke it just before the snap then blow on the ash and it flies out, or take a poker and flick the ash out. If there’s ash/resin left just stuff a napkin in and twist to wipe it out. The down stem may be clogged so just stick a poker down and then wipe it off after. Made it sound lengthy but it’s only 30 seconds to a minute to do at most and the bowl and water stay clean for the sesh
I'd always carry a pipe tool...2 push it thru...then a small piece of cloth, 2 wipe the bowl while it's still warm😉( u gotta change the water each sesh)
Hey Cewpins! Could you do a video on the pros & cons of "snapping" your bowls? What do you prefer to do? Do you snap your bowls when finishing them off and pull the ash into the water, or do you stop short of snapping to clear the chamber and then trash the ash?
@@micahhayes7158 I used to use glass screens, tiny little clusters of glass to block pieces of nug from going down the stem. Not the best but better than nothing. Not a fan of the metal screens, too much heat and you'll burn straight through those and who knows what kind of metal you're inhaling when that happens.
Idk about cleaning my glass constantly . And to be quite honest , you glass should be cleaned daily .. if you enjoy the flavor of your tree , you must clean constantly .. I do agree bubblers seem to deliver a pretty harsh hit … I prefer dry over bubblers but I prefer my bong over dry pipes … imo bubblers are for people that just don’t have the space for a bong or bongs aren’t discreet enough .. over all in glass bongs rule all .
Bubblers that look like little pipes? ehhh. Bubblers that look like tiny bongs? Fucking adorable. Maybe not great hits, but they're so darn cute, especially if made with pretty colored/speckled glass.
I honestly have to disagree with you for the most part, The only exception would be if you get a bubbler that's under 6 inches any bubbler under 6 inches won't hold enough water to be worth it in my opinion but a bubbler that is 6 inches or bigger holds enough water to be effective and efficient in terms of water filtration and will give you a very smooth hit.
I LOVE bubblers… now hear me out. I use my Grav hammer bubbler as my daily driver. I smoke by myself and I have a low tolerance as is. For me, one or two bowls is plenty enough. It’s convenient to bring over places especially if I’m the only stoner. Keeping it clean every five bowls or so isn’t and inconvenience for me because I only smoke so much. ALSO, bubblers have WAY more flavor than a bong imo. It still has to travel a fair distance so it still cools down (once again, use a hammer bubbler.) Lastly, yeah cleaning them are a pain, but at least they fit in every sink.

I like a large hammer bubbler for smoking a chunk of Bubble Hash .. big rips, big smoke chamber with a little cooling action. A well made heavy bubbler with a solid base that doesn't fall over if bumped.. cheap bubblers suck!!! I agree. Had many over the years. The nostalgia factor is great as well. I don't prefer smoking flower from one. Ashes and all that
i dont use a ash tray with my bubler all i do is tap tap the ash and do a light blow on the white grey ash and its flies away u cant treat bubblers the same as bongs or bowls
Sencerly I had a work bubbler that was a small enough piece to store out of the way and the water percolation was just better than dry pipe. I changed the water every day and could keep the ash out of the water pretty well
I think they could be good but I’ve never tried one. I recently got a ball vape so I’ve considered buying a bubbler/tiny bong for portability (my regular piece is a 16 in beaker that doesn’t fit in a stash box). It seems like a great idea to me, I mean the water won’t get too dirty like with combustion cause vaping is just cleaner so I think I could work really well
i have two silicone pieces. ones a bubbler and the other is a mini beaker. both are better than sucking hot smoke from a joint but i prefer the beaker. i can take them both apart to clean them , and if i drop them im not out $80+
Ive never loved bubbers. however on cleaning the head, I always wipe my flower bowl heads with a kiimtech delicate task wipe. which is basically a special napkin they use on lab glass. saw it in college chem lab. HIghly recommend wiping all bowls with a napkin of some sort. do it when they're still warm and they stay clean clean glass in the area that hold the flower.
I usually hold the bowl upside down with a flame heating it up to loosen it, then paper towel the bowl section out to do the same thing you just explained. Never heard of those wipes but as long as there isn't any chemicals on them, I'm sure they're fine.
I very much agree, never been a huge fan. I only own one bubbler, and it’s a downstemless lazy boy style, and it gets used only during special occasions, basically because if I used it more often cleaning it would be a totally pain. 😅
Try a Mobius Micro Matrix V3. OR one that will knock your socks off is a GRAV globe. The Globe is surprisingly smooth. I travel with it to work so it’s 100% a bubbler. It ain’t no bong!
yo i use a 5 inch mini bong hahaha i loooove it man, i honestly dont like huge hits from big bongs, its like the controlled drag from a pipe mixed with paper perculation. its great man u should try it
Smaller bubblers suck but I would love for you to try & do a video review a bigger, Ben Wilson or Fatboy bubbler with a removeable 18mm slide. It's almost like a hybrid of a bubbler and bong.
Like all pieces, bubblers especially need a good screen IMO. Either nice stainless steel mesh or a glass filter, really helps keep ash out of the water. As far as water spilling out, I don't remember that being much of an issue for some reason. The larger the bubbler the better, smoothest combustion hit I've had was from a four chamber bubbler with hot water in it. Biggest con for me however is handling the pieces, never broken a pipe only broken one bong but have broken 3 bubblers. Whether you knock them over or drop them they're so easy to break and harder to hold. That's the only reason I stopped buying bubblers. As good as they are, multi-chamber bubblers are some of the hardest pieces to clean and to determine ideal water levels. Not enough water and hits aren't as smooth as they should be and water gets gross faster. Too much water and you'd better be thirsty for bong water. Once you got all that figured out and don't drop it you'll have some of the smoothest hits out there. Pretty different from a huge bong rip if that's what you're into tho
all pieces need a good filter? Every bowl I’ve owned that came with a filter I remove it immediately. If your bowl needs a filter it’s not a well made bowl
I think that depends on the shape and size.. some can be the same as a dry pipe but I've hit some higher end bubblers that were wayyy smoother. The water filtration is still better than dry for the lungs etc as well.
nothing wrong with a good size pipe no water to screw with and you can get higher since it has a shorter trip smaller piece to fill the lungs. yep remember thinking bubblers were neat but yeah nope terrible .spill everywhere. edit packed a bowl of tk bandana in my lil blue sidecar style bubbler and , well yeah it rips . since there is less open space there is more flavor and you can get a bowl to last 5 good hits .a bong easier to clear so after a while you get kinda used to it. there are sucky parts its a science ,just the right amount of water , and suck and blow all the bits of crap. but once its all set you get ripped. a lot smoother than a dry pipe.
It’s all in the design of your bubbler but a lot of good points. Although if you are gonna forget there is water in it than at least your friends can laugh at you and with any luck it’s on video😂
Mine has like a carburetor but is also you can pull out the bowl peace it doesn’t get dirty super quickly it last through like idk 8 refills before I need to clean it out but when I do it’s a pain so idk what to call it it’s not super big like 5 inches or something like that
Ok, I'm gonna be that bubbler guy in the comments. They are my go-to piece. I prefer the airflow they gave my hits over a bong. you gotta change the water with every bowl when you use a bubbler though. That's an important difference. I never worry about spilling cus i dump the water as soon as i finish the bowl and refill it only when i pack a new one. I also only smoke outside and when the bowl is spent I can clear the pipe by blowing into it and squirting out the water like it's a little fountain, which is a pretty fun bonus ngl.
Can you show an example of what you mean by bubbler and dry pipe next time you discuss things like this in your videos? Thanks also I would like a video regarding whats the difference between medical marijuanna and recreational, which works best/ gets you higher
Mobius Micro Matrix V3. It’s a bubbler. BUT it’s damn near as smooth as my Toro 7/13! So I disagree, bubblers can be great hitter! Those little GRAV hammer bubblers rip hard and they are smooth as hell too! The GRAV globe is crazy smooth!!
idk bra i love my bubbler i’ve had multiple pieces and it’s just what i need, when i ash it i just blow it out because i pack snappers worth with out snapping just combusting through it

i have two silicone pieces. ones a bubbler and the other is a mini beaker. both are better than sucking hot smoke from a joint but i prefer the beaker. i can take them both apart to clean them , and if i drop them im not out $80+
Cappppp bubblers are so much better than pipes. Them mfers rip if you get the right one
The concept of a bubbler sounds sooo goood though. A portable pocket bong.
They are good
The only bubbler I have is for my carts. I wouldn't mind one for my flower vape, but not sure if it's really necessary.
A bubbler for carts??? 👀
@@sarahleeann7208 Ye. I have a Delta Extrax hydro bubbler.
I tried a bubbler for the first time last night and loved the hit. Luckily it was a friend's, so I didn't have to deal with all the cleanup
Try a Mobius Micro Matrix V3. OR one that will knock your socks off is a GRAV globe. The Globe is surprisingly smooth. I travel with it to work so it’s 100% a bubbler. It ain’t no bong!
Fr man 😂 never owned a bubbler for that reason went from dry pipes to bongs. Why do you need a bubbler when u can have a bong !
i used to have one in my door pocket... ha used to ....
nothing wrong with a bubbler. people just cant use them for some reason, i can smoke multiple bowls without it getting dirty.
My first glass piece was a bubbler, that stupid thing was so unnecessarily hard to clean. I'm glad I've graduated to real bongs since then
Alcohol (and salt, if it's really dirty) and a shake should clean any shaped bubbler with no problems.
I think bubblers are amazing for injections vapes, it makes the smoke condense like a dab!
well dang
I like bubblers just to change up what pieces i am using. Its nice when i don't want a huge bong rip.
How have you been smoking if not combusting? I know there’s obviously dabs and stuff but just vaporizing flower or something?
Bubbler is actually my favorite….but yeah ya gotta dump that water like after every bowl
its worth the extra effort in my opinion and take a paper towel and wipe the bowl out before loading another bowl
dang ol work
yo i use a 5 inch mini bong hahaha i loooove it man, i honestly dont like huge hits from big bongs, its like the controlled drag from a pipe mixed with paper perculation. its great man u should try it
Makes a video ranting about the worst type of bubbler while hitting with a flame. Adds up.
"oh hell no, bro brought the bubbler to the sesh" 💀
Not a fan of bubblers without removable bowls! Now a scientific bubbler, not so bad
Smaller bubblers suck but I would love for you to try & do a video review a bigger, Ben Wilson or Fatboy bubbler with a removeable 18mm slide. It's almost like a hybrid of a bubbler and bong.
Got a nice hammer bubbler but the water chamber is so small, I use it dry if at all, as Nancy says "Just Say No to Combustion, Ronny!"
Spot on about not having more than one percolator. Shit becomes uncleanable instantly.
also ive found personaly they hit better/ harder and use much less weed than bongs
Good dry pipe with a glass screen is better than a bubbler.
Oh, we call those hammers down here. Coz they look like hammer shaped. 🤠
@@glub__blub Just my opinion. There are differences between pieces and how fine your grind is, but screens do help with keeping the pieces cleaner
Couldn’t agree more bubblers in my experience is pointless water filtration with the same harshness of a dry hit 😭😂
wild🤣
bubblers aren't bad guess you are just using it wrong
I think that depends on the shape and size.. some can be the same as a dry pipe but I've hit some higher end bubblers that were wayyy smoother. The water filtration is still better than dry for the lungs etc as well.
I like vaping out of my globe bubbler, but I get where you are coming from. I think it depends on the size.
Have you tried the Freeze Pipe?
Hammer bubblers usually have a pullable bowl and more water can fit
I think he needs to try a good hammer
I'm a bit confused. Is a bubbler basiclly a dry pipe with water?
nothing wrong with a good size pipe no water to screw with and you can get higher since it has a shorter trip smaller piece to fill the lungs.
yep remember thinking bubblers were neat but yeah nope terrible .spill everywhere.
edit packed a bowl of tk bandana in my lil blue sidecar style bubbler and , well yeah it rips . since there is less open space there is more flavor and you can get a bowl to last 5 good hits .a bong easier to clear so after a while you get kinda used to it.
there are sucky parts its a science ,just the right amount of water , and suck and blow all the bits of crap. but once its all set you get ripped. a lot smoother than a dry pipe.
It’s all in the design of your bubbler but a lot of good points. Although if you are gonna forget there is water in it than at least your friends can laugh at you and with any luck it’s on video😂
I miss a Bad ass steam roller lol!! Used to get some massive hits from an acrylic steamroller lol
Reminds me of back in the day used to take one of those metal bowls and a paper towel roll and get FUUUUCKED up lol
Dang ol steam roller video soon? 🤣
Will post one here in a few on your Reddit lol. Gotta build this contraption
It’s done
Bro get the easy flow ballr glass bubbler, or the AKW from ehle youll easily change ur mind
maybe I'll look into it
Tried it some minutes ago, i like the bubbler with the FX Mini
Bubblers are passion pieces that require high maintenance. Family heirloom pipes
Good point!
Glad someone finally said it
They're bad🤣
I got a hammer bubbler with a perc and a removable bowl so for only 30 good for people just getting into water pipes
That’s why you have to get one with a removable bowl
I also only smoke outside and when the bowl is spent I can clear the pipe by blowing into it and squirting out the water like it's a little fountain, which is a pretty fun bonus ngl.
i got a grav pocket globe and it’s the nicest little thing ever
Okay but if i put a joint/blunt into the downstem of a bubbler then i love em
Can you show an example of what you mean by bubbler and dry pipe next time you discuss things like this in your videos? Thanks also I would like a video regarding whats the difference between medical marijuanna and recreational, which works best/ gets you higher
Mobius Micro Matrix V3. It’s a bubbler. BUT it’s damn near as smooth as my Toro 7/13! So I disagree, bubblers can be great hitter! Those little GRAV hammer bubblers rip hard and they are smooth as hell too! The GRAV globe is crazy smooth!!
Just snap every bowl
idk bra i love my bubbler i’ve had multiple pieces and it’s just what i need, when i ash it i just blow it out because i pack snappers worth with out snapping just combusting through it
all u gotta do is blow over the bowl
How do you smoke out of silicone but hear me out I break glass way too easily
Have you ever tried a blunt bubbler i use mine daily
I did the exact same thing the first time putting out the bowl without the water
it happens🤣
Bubblers are dumb except the K Haring bubbler because that one is a whole lot larger than your typical bubbler.
Bubblers are designed to be the easiest pieces to spill and break. Great for headshop profits
