Don’t worry, fountain pens don’t leak that easily. We had to use them for school and just kept them in our pencil cases in our schoolbags. To be on the extra safe side (also necessary when flying): if you put the fountain pen upright with the nib facing upwards it definitely will not leak. Some bags have an extra penholder in the lining. When she is pulling the pen from the bag, you can actually see that it was kept in an upright position within the bag, either in a penholder or clipped in the inside pocket of the lining. If you like fountain pens just go for it😊
