  • Yesterday was one of those days where Mother Nature decided to put on a show. My dad and I came across a strange looking bait ball and I decided to jump overboard our boat “Magic” to have a look what’s happening below the surface. I didn’t even have time to put my fins on..
Well little did I know that I would be jumping into a massive school of Atlantic Bonito (sarda sarda) as far as my eye could see. I have dived with Bonito before but never have I seen such a calmness from a school. They circled me, and didn’t seem to be phased by my presence at all.
Never in all my years of diving have I seen such a sight. Strangest thing is that the past two weeks @sharkie_tina and I have been dissecting this exact species to better understand their life cycle along the coastline to help protect them for future generations.
It goes to show, protect and respect Mother Nature and she will show you her deepest seacrets.
