My Jeep Compass 4x4 D AT is absolutely gorgeous. We recently did south TN road trip. Man what can i say. The smile on every cornering, the instant steering feedback, effortless overtakes. Our entire family was only in car and hotel and fact that they found the road trip more enjoyable and comforting says everything. On return , from pattukottai to chennai , it was one break non stop drive. We didn't feel tired at all. Also the rear passengers didn't really complain and they found the entire trip awesome. Ofcourse it might have been lil more stressful had there been 3 ppl in the rear instead of 2. But was absolutely perfect for my family. We could drive closer to an interior waterfall near agastiyar hills. Overall was very safe, exhilarating and super fun. Worth the 38L spent imho. It was between harrier and compass. After TD of both, only one choice was obvious. Im using it for past 1.5 years and so far touchwood , no issues. Service also went smoothly. I have the mopar extended warranty for 2 more years total to 5 years of warranty.
You are correct boss. I own a Jeep, and completed two times drives from Goa to Chennai, Kanyakumari, Ooty, etc., and back within a year. It is an excellent machine. No way comparable with the other two...

@@MotoBeast25 ofc automatic. 4x4 comes in auto and diesel only when I bought. Now you have 4x2 auto option in diesel. It's cheaper also. This is an excellent review; you have presented it exceptionally well. I watch all the videos of MotoWagan. I am also a subscriber to renowned auto channels. I have driven all these cars. I also own one of them. 1. Can we compare these cars? The answer may be yes because all use the same engine. 2. Can we compare these cars? The answer is no, except for the engine rest are different. Mainly Compass with others is a different case. Jeep starts with the Compass, which is above 25L, but the others begin with much lower-range cars because Jeep is a premium international brand. Jeep's gearbox is a 9-speed AT available in luxury cars. Laser welded it is. Another point to include is the safety rating of Compass, which is EuroNcap, which is more trustworthy. I feel that the other testing would be a marketing jugaad. I always question whether Harrier and Jaguar's products are built on the same platform. Or whether Harrier uses a modified (inspired) platform; if so, this will also be a marketing jugaad. 3. The video preciously says which one is for whom Harrier: if you are looking for a fatty, spacious car. But no fit and finish, little body role as it gives importance to smooth ride. After a few months, Tata will release another Harrier edition/model different from the previous Harrier. Hector: very smooth backseat rode than the other two. Better fit and finish than Harrier. The body role is more as the suspension is soft. The dashboard is a little distracting. Compass: fit and finish, build quality, trustable safety comparable with Q1, XC40, X1 and GLA. Driver's car and Exquisite interior. But service stations are not many. The back seat is a little stiff with a purpose since it is a higher-segment vehicle. My personal view: Buy the car which you and your spouse like. If your spouse isn’t a car lover, then you alone decide because they will choose the car for the features that will not be used much. Children will grow and go away from you, and their tastes and requirements will keep changing. If they like something that is not your choice, leave it and go for yours. Let them grow and buy a car of their interest. It’s your life, and you earn; buy the car you like.
I own diesel compass for three years. Fantastic vehicle. The service is great at Trivandrum. Very very fuel efficient. I got maximum mileage of 21.1 kmpl in the national highway at the speed around 100 kmph.
I am upgrading my car to an SUV and test drove all the mentioned models. I only liked the Jeep Compass, being delighted by its performance and driver control. The Tata Harrier is fine but can't compare to the Compass. I have finally decided to go with the Compass. Sir, I enjoyed your review and have become a fan of your insight and knowledge about cars. I even check all your reviews before considering a Jeep.
Dear MW, kindly let me know whether I can buy Jeep Compass 2024, as I am planning to buy a safe and comfort SUV 4x2 Automatic with budget 35-40 on road. Is that recommended? So, I am worried about future, as I am not a person changing cars every 5 years, but keep at-least 10 years.. kindly recommend whether I can go ahead with Compass or not. Also Tucson 2024 in my list, but after watching your videos I am almost with Compass even the service I have to depend on Trivandrum which is nearer than Madurai... Pls advise asap, as I have to take decision within ONE WEEK. PLS...

Jeep compass can't be compared with harrier and hector. Compass is a superior product than these cars. Compass is comparable with cars like Tiguan, Kodiaq and Tucson. Even compass can be equated with the entry level luxury cars like X1,Q3,GLA.... Inside the car, it feels like as if we are in a solidly built tank, the power is great, performance is great, handling, driving dynamics and what not! everything is top notch.
