I had never done anything to fix a major appliance, but following your tutorial, I replaced the board in my Frigidaire myself and in almost the same time as the tutorial video took!

As I previously stated, outstanding tutorial. A couple of comments: When removing the control board from the housing, be sure to keep the face of the upper panel assembly facing downward. That will prevent the springs behind each of the buttons from being displaced. The technician's tip on separating the two halves of the control board is excellent as it permits access to the two arrow fasteners that secure the wire harness to the control board housing. Simply squeezing the backside of the arrowhead fasteners will permit easy removal. I was able to replace the control board in less than 45 minutes.

Nicely done video. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Also want to mention that your photographer does a great job following and showing the parts and angles. This is a huge help to all who want to do this repair themselves.

Incredible! It took 2 hours and $280 for the parts but totally worth it! A new washer would have ran us $700-$800 easily.

Great video! I replaced my control board yesterday but after re-assembling everything, realized that that wash cycles no longer correspond to dial position! For example, the Wool cycle now activates the Spin/Drain cycle (I printed out the cycles chart from the owner's manual and looked at the different cycle times and Spin/Drain cycle matched up with the Wool setting and also functioned accordingly, only draining and spinning). I think I need to go back and adjust the position of the control potentiometer?

Thank you for this video! Very informative and easy to follow along, however I believe I was sold a faulty control board as the buttons don't perform as they should. Seem to be sending incorrect instructions to the washing machine!

I am resembling my control board and at 14:57 you mention some models don't have a hook up for the pins all the way at the end. My machine has a black wire and a 2 prong connector and I see a place for it on your video directly to the right of the left hand gang plugs and was on my old control board, there is no place to plug it in on the new control board that I ordered using my model number and original Frigidaire part number. It just has the connector a black wire and looks like a transistor/receiver or something on the other in but that end does not hook to anything. What is that wire and what does it do? Thank you

8:48 If anyone can’t get the nob out to adjust the dial to face up, down, and to the center of the board, you can carefully use a flat head to turn it to the position

I have this exact same and model, and was just told by a tech that it couldn't be fixed. How would I go by ways of trying to do it on my own. This is very outside my territory, but I'm willing to try my hand at it. The drum keeps cutting off right after the spin cycle starts. Tech said the board needed replacement but they don't make it anymore. Is there any way this? Just as a sub or swap outs?
Edited: It's not the exact model. I made a mistake it's older. How do I confirm that a newer board would work? Or cross reference that.

If you're still having trouble with this, I recommend googling the model of your washer and the error code (if any) that's appearing on the display. You should be able to find the exact model of control board for your washer model and order it from a parts supplier online. Even older parts are often available still.
