Another thing was that in the 2022 playoffs they were favored going in. I think it was something like the Bucks purposefully losing the last game of the season to not face them.
They would have lost to the Bucks again. Milwaukee dominated them in the season series, and Steve Nash was going to get out coached again. 2021 was their shot because no one had film on how to play them. Once teams had film, there was no way the Nets were winning anything.

No toe on the line and we will all be talking a different story but that’s just a what if. Everyone states how this team had bad defense but in reality they had a average one. When all 3 are playing together they would win 77% of the time but that’s where the issue stood. It would always be two at a time or a solo star game which I can imagine would be annoying for fans and management. Also for those who say they had overtime I agree, but let’s not act like kd didn’t play the whole game. What player would not be gassed after that especially as the main option to score with a harden who for some reason forgot how to put a layup in the basket. Not many ppl talk about it because he was injured but the man was consistently under the rim with a layup open yet he’d constantly look to pass. It got so bad that they literally opened the lane for him and played the pass over an open layup. As a rockets fan that infuriated me the most because I’ve seen it happen way too often. He didn’t hesitate to take very contested 3s but would suddenly get shy to take a layup that was given to him.
No, not really. Harden is a joke hyped by the media, but he is not a leader and he has proven not to be able to win a title or lead a team to the finals. Only a few seasons with really good stats, but far from winning anything. Kyrie Irwing is and has always been a cancer for any team. He won a ring with prime Lebron and Kevin Love, but again he isn't able to lead a team to the finals. Kevin Durant isn't as a fake as the other two but again, only won when in a team with the best two shooters in history who didn't need him to win titles. No, the Nets have been a bluff hyped by the media.
Here’s the problem with star players today IMO: they have too much influence over the FO. When the Bulls traded Charles Oakley it was obviously the right thing to do but Michael Jordan bitched a fit In hindsight Jordan is a TERRIBLE GM and rightfully should have no influence over the Bulls roster despite the fact he’s the GOAT player. For Kyrie and KD to demand DJ get signed for the locker room, demand specific coaches, dislike Allen, etc etc etc it’s not their place and hamstrings a competent GM
That was supposed to be the finals they were the two best teams by far!!! I also think nuggets with Jamal would’ve beat the suns too just shows u championships are overrated the best team doesn’t always win
This team survived the regular season and 1st Round because nobody had film on Steve Nash's tendencies. I know Kyrie was injured and James Harden wasn't 100%, once that 2nd Round shifted to Fiserv Forum, you could see that the Bucks were exposing Nash's weaknesses. You don't use Mike James and pretend he's Kyrie first of all. And second of all, they made no adjustments to the Bucks' playstyle and just let Giannis get whatever he wanted. If the Nets didn't have home-court advantage in Games 5 and 7, they would have gotten killed. That's how lopsided this series was after Game 2. By the way, didn't they have a chance to bury the Bucks in Game 3 and fail to do so? They did. And I knew once they lost that game that Milwaukee was going to come back and win the series. Mike Budenholzer coached circles around Nash for the final 5 games of the series, and KD and Jeff Green were the only reasons this series went to 7 games. "But they were injured!" Well in the 1st Round that year, they faced a Celtics team that didn't have Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, and Al Horford and they didn't even sweep them. (Plus Tatum wasn't 100% either) Guess what happened the next year when Boston was healthy against them. BROOKLYN GOT SWEPT! Keep making excuses for injuries because they got out coached badly in those two losses even if they were healthy.
Lol delusional bucks would’ve got swept in 2021 😂😂😂 count ur blessings what tape is there to guard harden or Kyrie it went 7 without them?? Get off the crack Brodie

ISO gang!
No, the Nets have been a bluff hyped by the media.
if it weren't for a toe this video wouldn't have been made
KD wears Kyrie shoes instead were talking about Durants the GOAT
kyrie stomped on lucky, ok maybe i do like him
One biggest what if ever
Here’s the problem with star players today IMO: they have too much influence over the FO. When the Bulls traded Charles Oakley it was obviously the right thing to do but Michael Jordan bitched a fit
In hindsight Jordan is a TERRIBLE GM and rightfully should have no influence over the Bulls roster despite the fact he’s the GOAT player.
For Kyrie and KD to demand DJ get signed for the locker room, demand specific coaches, dislike Allen, etc etc etc it’s not their place and hamstrings a competent GM
This was karma for durfruad building superteams
100% Kyrie's fault
I do think it's ridiculous people felt OK saying Kyrie should be forced to get vaccinated.
2021 Clippers was literally in the West.
