Great year for movies, definitely better than '18. So it was very difficult to put together this Top 10, and also there are some that I didn't see yet that would possibly make the list, e.g. Uncut Gems and 1917. it's always difficult to choose between the best one objectively, or which one is YOUR personal favourite. Also the emotional factor, how I felt while watching them and rewatchability are very important factors for me. So I have some very clear omissions...
Honorable Mentions: John Wick 3 - Joker - Rocketman - Marriage Story - The Two Popes - Klaus...
10. One Cut of the Dead (* It's from 2017 in Japan, but it came out worldwide in 2019. I put it at the end of the list because of this asterisk. If it weren't for that, it would probably be in my top five...)
9. Dolemite Is My Name ( I liked it very much, but I didn't love this movie. But it's my love for the classic Eddie, and the fact that this film marks his return, which puts it in my top 10 of the year...)
8. Doctor Sleep
7. The Irishman
6. Jojo Rabbit
5. Avengers: Endgame
4. Blinded by the Light
3. Ford v Ferrari
2. Knives Out
1. Parasite
10. The King
9. Shazam!
8. Uncut Gems
7. Avengers: Endgame
6. 1917
5. Knives Out

3. Joker
2. Parasite
1. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Honorable mentions:
Us
The Lighthouse
The Irishman
1. The Lighthouse

3. The Irishman
4. Midsommar
5. Marriage Story
6. Portrait of a Lady on Fire
7. Uncut Gems
8. Pain and Glory
9. Avengers Endgame
10. Waves
We have the exact same top 3, though I don't think Avengers: Endgame was good enough to compare to the rest of these great films (I haven't seen Waves or Pain and Glory yet though).
I've been a fan since you guys started but havent seen Top 10 in a while. I always rooted for you guys in the Schmoedown. I miss Matt there. Hopefully you come back
One major issue with 2019 in film; the majority of the big blockbuster movies were disappointing.
2019 was a phenomenal year for film. So much so that I couldn’t refrain from expanding my year end favorites list to 25 films and STILL had some real tough cuts to make; including Ford v. Ferrari and Dolemite is my Name - but let’s get into it, shall we:
1. The lighthouse
2. Jojo rabbit
3. once upon a time in... Hollywood
4. Doctor sleep
5. Parasite
6. Pain and glory
7. Midsommar
8. knives out
9. Little women
10. avengers: endgame
11. Booksmart
12. 1917
13. uncut gems
14. Us
15. The nightingale
16. the art of self-defense
17. Ready or not
18. the farewell
19. rocketman
20. Joker
21. Dragon Ball Super: Broly
22. High Life
23. Toy story 4
24. Marriage Story
25. The irishman
My Top 10 of 2019:
1. Joker
2. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
3. Doctor Sleep
4. Rocketman
5. Ready Or Not
6. The Nightingale
7. Parasite
8. Ad Astra
9. 1917
10. The Irishman
Love that list! Ready or not was so much fun and Doctor sleep tragically underperformed
The ‘Bowler’ they’re talking about is Kyle Troup. Believe it or not I’ve bowled along side him. It’s wild being in NC hearing this! The dude bowls two-handed (as do I) and is a sight to see on camera and real life. Talented as hell! ‘Afro Fish’ is their brand

Loved Endgame, JoJo, 1917, Ford, Falcon. Have not seen Parasite. Once upon was good (a little to long). Like Joker. Marriage Story was decent (would not watch again). Did not care for Irishman (way to long). I actually really loved Rise of Skywalker. Good Boys was great too. John Wick3 was great action movie.
Rocha what are you talking about??? They WERE going to Tate’s house!
I love these guys!!! So funny!! HORSEMEN!!!!! 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴
We WANT ROXY AND DORINA BACK
Thanks for the content! As for me? So yes, yes it was a great year for film. Suffice it to say, I must say that I cannot say that I love any movie I have seen this year. I can't use the words I loved this 2019 movie: _______ That said, Joker and Parasite I thought were quite good might even go as far as saying so very near to great. Those are the 2 best I think of the past 365 (Maybe even longer 2018 was terrible).
