I used to have a kindle back in the day and broke it. About a year ago I went to a pawn shop and found a Kindle touch for $10, so I jumped at the opportunity and bought it. Even though it is an older version, it works perfectly and I'm so happy I got it! If I somehow destroy this one, I'll update because now, I don't know what I'd do without one on me at all times😂😂
I think one of the biggest impacts on quality of sleep, life and mental health is a diat from news. Just don't watch it, read it or hear it for a couple of weeks and you'll realize that you're not missing ANYTHING because all the big stuff is brought to you by friends. You miss out on all the negative stuff you can't do anything about and that just frustrates you though. I've been doing that on and off since 2015 and I always feel best, when I don't know what's going on for weeks. Then I relapse and feel terrible again.
Kindle has been my Best Buy till date. Since buying it two Years ago, I have made a habit of reading one hour every day prior to going to sleep. Have so far read 43 books which I hadn’t read in so many years. A BIG THUMBS UP TO KINDLE. 😄👍🏻 Great video and All the Best from India 🇮🇳
A friend of mine found a bunch of Kindles 4th generation, not the newest but he gave me one and I love it. I just realized I'm using it more than my cell phone before going to sleep. Looking forward to read a lot of books I've always wanted to read, it's great.
Color e-ink readers are slowly becoming a thing. The ones available cost a lot, but I see Amazon releasing one at the current price range within 5 years. If money isn't an issue, you might want to look up BOOX ebook reader.
For text only, I prefer the Paperwhite but for color pictures, the kindle fire is a great option. It works very well for picture books for my children.
I'm a bibliophile, I much prefer a physical book! But I have a bunch of e-books on my phone. The phone is definitely distracting. Nice video, I'll be investing in one of these finally.
I use the kindle primarily for my certifications program. If I were to buy the books, they’re really thick and super heavy. You know how that is. It’s awkward to read anywhere else other than being at your desk or in the library. With the oasis, I’ve not only increased my study time, but also passed and received my certification way ahead of schedule. With a regular book, I would’ve given up.
Been using kindle since 2018 and gotta say if you like to read it helps a lot. Lighter, thinner, and doesn't hurt the eye, also cheaper book selection on amazon. Although many people commenting on why would i spend money for things that pretty much can only be used to read e-book, i still say it's a worthy purchase if you read a lot. Cheers man
I got mine on prime day too and, luckily and completely unbeknownst to me, I had accumulated a bunch of reward points through my bank, so the kindle cost me 90 cents in the end 😁 Best 90 cents I ever spent for sure lol
I just purchased a refurbished 7th gen Kindle and I don’t regret it. So simple and convenient. I have hundreds of my favorite books at the tip of my fingers.
I used to read a ton until october, when I moved out of my parents' house and started university. I read little to nothing and I don't have much space to put physical books. I just recently got a kindle and it's saving my life; it's so much easier to bring around with me while commuting and as you said there are amazing websites where I can download books for free, saving me lots of money.
Best buy ever. It's my favorite gadget. I can basically have free books everywhere I go with me. And yes when I like a book I then buy it most of the time.
I love my kobo, I download all the books I want and send them to one drive, and when I open the e-reader it's all there ready to be read... next time I buy another one I wanna try something like Remarkable, way bigger so it would be easier to read PDFs and graphs in general
I bought my kindle 8 years ago because big epic fantasy books where hurting my hands and back (like literally I was starting to have muscle/tendon issues). I've been a strong proponent of e-readers ever since.
I was in two minds about buying myself a kindle even after placing the order just a few minutes ago. I found a lot of negative reviews about issues with the device on Amazon. I wanted to feel a little reassured so got into UA-cam and that's when I found your video. Thanks a lot. I recommend books by Sadhguru especially Inner Engineering.
I like your video. My preference is for the Kindle Fire 7. My favorite feature is 'text-to-speech.' Once I set it to read to me, I can get busy with my kitchen chores while listening to Jane Austen or Jim Butcher.
Great video - I read non fiction books about finances and investing. Psychology books are also some of my favorites. Nevertheless I liked and subscribed, you seem very humble 😁🤗
Exactly! Just bought it also from a big discount from Prime day. And with some really nice websites I got some E books for free that already saved me more then the purchase price of the Kindle. 😁😁😁😁
I'm still avoiding to get hooked to the Amazon ecosystem so I use epub E-Book readers from diffrent brands. Same benefits. Regarding your commute habit, you could also listen to a podcast instead of listening to music. That's what I'm doing while walking with my dog. Couln't read an ebook while walkig, but listening to a podcast is easy. If you need book recommondations: 1. Cal Newport: Deep work. 2. Carol Dweck: Mindset 3. Rory Sutherland: Alchemy The last one I'm currently reading and so far it is a deeply insigthful book about consumer psychology, marketing and design. Since you're a student, there is of course "How to take smart notes" by Sönke Ahrens which describes a method of getting the most out of your literature notes. I wish I would have known this stuff while I was a student long ago.

So you could do more productive things, like making this UA-cam video. While I do less productive things, like watching UA-cam.. er.. hey, wait a minute!!! :-)

Great video! Lol my case is funny. I've got a paperwhite back in 2018 and for some reason didn't like it and I didn't know about sending books ( that I of course buy from amazon and not download somehere *cough*) by email to it. Like one month ago though I found it in my basement and tried it out again and researched how to transfer books on it etc. Guess what , now it's my daily companion! 😂 I've already 2 books on it in a month.
I bought one last month. My goal is to read 20 books by the end of next year and want to cut down on my phone screen time. I wanted to get some traction so I started reading in November rather than jan. already read 8 books in one month and having a lot of fun.
I've got a Kobo Aura 2 and I love that little thing. Need to get back in the habit of using it in the morning and night before bed on!e you mentioned, because gosh I waste so much time on that thing, and I'm sure it totally ruins the amount of sleep I could be getting. Thanks for great video and the nice reminder!
I recently got a Kindle and it has changed my life for the better for the same reasons you said your Kindle has changed your life for the better. I used to use my iPad in bed on social media which is the worst thing you can do before sleep if you want to get good sleep. Now I read my Kindle in bed instead and my sleep has been so much better. There are many great books I could recommend but everyone's taste is different so what I really like may not be something you like.

Bought a kindle oasis 10th generation model just 15 days back!!... Loving each and every moment, while reading on it!!... Kindles have indeed revolutionised the world of so many readers out there!!... The good old paperback or hardcover books have taken a backseat in all these years since kindle is evolving, and kindle has been a strictly dedicated device for reading only and nothing else!!.. But despite all this, I totally agree that just nothing can beat physical books, when it comes to pure reading experience!!!
I was the kind of person that just read in paper... until a friend showed me his Kindle. I was sold. Later, Is still wanted to keep reading in paper from time to time. Now, I only read in paper if I have to, I love, LOVEEEEE my kindle, it´s so comfortable for reading anywhere, books are cheaper, it´s perfect. By the way, you can use the Send to Kindle App to send any mobi files to your kindle without needing to connect it to the PC, it´s SO easy and simple, and it´s a Amazon app.
Lot of People are doing UA-cam as a defense against doubts of other people and those people are “ unknown“ There is a deep meaning in this video , it’s not only a kindle review . But personally when I am taking pictures it doesn’t a have a deep meaning like this .
You don't need a wire to send books to your kindle. I usually download ebooks from the internet, and then send the book to my kindle using Calibre. It automatically reformat .txt or .epub ( or whaever fomat) into .mobi and then send to my kindle with my Amazon account setting. It's soooooo much easier!
the kindle didn’t stop me from procrastinating but now instead of procrastinating on social media I do it by reading for hours lmao

A friend gifted me with an old Kindle (2014 model) and now I'm back to reading! It's so much better because I can read anywhere!
"Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda. Best book I've ever read.
will take a look thanks!
agree..
Oh. Pleaseeee it’s the worst don’t even bother
@@naveedahsan7315 I think you got the book mistaken pal kkkk! Or you didnt bother reading it yourself.
@@naveedahsan7315 Quran?
Awesome video. I bought a Gen 3 Kindle in year 7 and never looked back (upgraded twice, first to a Paperwhite and then to an Oasis)
Very nice!
Thats great!
Great video and All the Best from India 🇮🇳
Thanks for sharing!
Can we read online novels that we read in google in kindle also?plz reply!just want to confirm a gift option😇
@@SKY-kv7no You would need to purchase the Novel through Amazon (if available) and then you can read it on Kindle.
@@anandjha211085 oh thx fr the reply!👍
A friend of mine found a bunch of Kindles 4th generation, not the newest but he gave me one and I love it. I just realized I'm using it more than my cell phone before going to sleep. Looking forward to read a lot of books I've always wanted to read, it's great.
The biggest drawback is you cant see colourful diagrams in an ebook. And for medschool, colourful diagrams are essential for understanding.
that's fair, probably an ipad is better
Same for geology! They have colorful pictures of samples!
Nice!
I told an aunt of mine that my Kindle had a little over 2000 books on it, she asked me if that made it heavy.
Hahaha thats so funny!
This is so funny.
Cheers man
Thanks for sharing! Youre welcome :(
There are lots of videos on the merits of Ebook readers-this was one of the best. Straightforward and to the point! Thanks
Wow, thank you!
I got mine on prime day too and, luckily and completely unbeknownst to me, I had accumulated a bunch of reward points through my bank, so the kindle cost me 90 cents in the end 😁 Best 90 cents I ever spent for sure lol
Nice! 90c is such a bargain!
I just purchased a refurbished 7th gen Kindle and I don’t regret it. So simple and convenient. I have hundreds of my favorite books at the tip of my fingers.
Iam currently reading "Where Good Ideas come from" by Steven Johnson on my Kindle
awesome, ill check it out!
Couldn't agree more!
I love my kobo, I download all the books I want and send them to one drive, and when I open the e-reader it's all there ready to be read... next time I buy another one I wanna try something like Remarkable, way bigger so it would be easier to read PDFs and graphs in general
“The only game there is...”
not to mention even if ebook is same price as paper book its still more convinient since you dont have to drive to the book store or library
Amazing review, mate! Can not wait to get my own Kindle Paperwhite.
Have fun!
I bought my kindle 8 years ago because big epic fantasy books where hurting my hands and back (like literally I was starting to have muscle/tendon issues). I've been a strong proponent of e-readers ever since.
Oh wow!
Cheers!
you'll like manufacuring consent by noam chomsky.
Wonderful!
Can you recommend the psychology books you enjoyed and got nice amount of knowledge from 👉🏻👈🏻
Exactly! Just bought it also from a big discount from Prime day. And with some really nice websites I got some E books for free that already saved me more then the purchase price of the Kindle. 😁😁😁😁
I wanna buy one ...Ur convincing me more thnx...
You should!
This is the reason I’m seriously tempted to pick up a new Kindle… less distractions… and rediscovering the joy of reading
Thats really cool, but im too attached to my physical books 📚 📖 😅😂
haha yeah, everyone has their own preference! :)
This is what i originally thought for myself as well, but as soon as i got the Kindle, I realized this wasn't true!
If you need book recommondations:
1. Cal Newport: Deep work.
2. Carol Dweck: Mindset
3. Rory Sutherland: Alchemy
The last one I'm currently reading and so far it is a deeply insigthful book about consumer psychology, marketing and design.
Since you're a student, there is of course "How to take smart notes" by Sönke Ahrens which describes a method of getting the most out of your literature notes. I wish I would have known this stuff while I was a student long ago.
will take a look! cheers :)
I’ve been reading power of habits
I was looking for reviews about kindle because I want to buy one... I'd like to read How to be a Stoic. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Glad it was helpful!
Shane: *wastes 16 hours per week
Me: *wastes 16 hours per day scrolling facebook and watch youtube videos about being productive 😂
Btw I suggest reading the book "Make it stick"
Hahahaha thanks for the recommendation. Will check it out! :)
It's a digital book and this idea is awesome! I am reading books with my Kindle and normally I wasn't reading quite much anyway. It's light and you don't receive notifications when you are reading book. And also the best part is no blue light.
So you could do more productive things, like making this UA-cam video. While I do less productive things, like watching UA-cam.. er.. hey, wait a minute!!! :-)
hahaha!
I enjoyed you review. Very neatly edited, excellent audio, frank review with productivity Gains through incremental habit creation. Most of all I liked the cost breakdown. I am subscribing! I am looking forward to more of your productivity strategies / routines / habits. Best wishes.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much you just make my reason to get my Kindle
Dood I really enjoyed this video and loved the calm tone of your voice! So cool 👍
Does Kindle support any browsing apps? I'm a web novel reader and books that I read are from the authors' websites.
You told you wouldn't give any book recommendations. But still I got "Make Time" book suggestion. Thanks
hahaha, just the one!
Agreed 👍 buy a Kindle and won't regret it my Kindle changed my habits
Yes same here. I need to spend some time on reading to distract myself from anxiety and depression. Just ordered kindle paperwhite.
I would suggest u to read 'Voyagers of hell'. It will rejuvinate u.
@@Kdhrheee54 thank you. Is it an uplifting book?
@@Kashif314 teach u to fight during challenging circumstances. Must give it a try
Also, you should check out bookbub, they show which reading sites, (as well as Amazon) has free books as well as discounted books for the day.
I've got a Kobo Aura 2 and I love that little thing. Need to get back in the habit of using it in the morning and night before bed on!e you mentioned, because gosh I waste so much time on that thing, and I'm sure it totally ruins the amount of sleep I could be getting. Thanks for great video and the nice reminder!
awesome, cheers!
Goooooood. I turned off my tv 🤩I read anything I can get on my kindel. The last position was "Mindhunter", "u.s.s seawolf", and "Admirals"
just found your channel. Awesome!
There are many great books I could recommend but everyone's taste is different so what I really like may not be something you like.
very insightful video, i've been using the same kindle for 4 years now and i'll definitely be looking out for the sale in october!
you're awesome bro! I decided to get the kindle to cut down on the amount of physical books I buy
Hey, great video. I love reading, but taking a paperback with me makes me cringe everytime the corner bends in my bag. I got a kindle, so I can easily take it to read anywhere I go. Thanks!
I have the kindle oasis. I’m now starting to read more. Best decision. I’m currently reading a book along with a couple other people. And we will be doing a zoom to discuss it.
Amazing!!
man this changed my output, thanks bro
Awesome!
But despite all this, I totally agree that just nothing can beat physical books, when it comes to pure reading experience!!!
that's true!
By the way, you can use the Send to Kindle App to send any mobi files to your kindle without needing to connect it to the PC, it´s SO easy and simple, and it´s a Amazon app.
awesome!!
Lot of People are doing UA-cam as a defense against doubts of other people and those people are “ unknown“ There is a deep meaning in this video , it’s not only a kindle review . But personally when I am taking pictures it doesn’t a have a deep meaning like this .
I heard that the library can let you borrow books and transfer them to your kindle but I’m not sure if every library will do that
yeah not too sure :/
I have one , it’s very practical , can carry all books in it with no extra weights. Amazing
Exactly!
I'm actually pretty surprised at how cheap you can find them at thrift stores. I found an oasis at a thrift store for $12.
You can directly send your downloded book to kindle by your kindle email. So no need cable for it
thats true if you got it from the amazon store :)
@@ShaneHuang88 Noooo just download any mobi file and send via kindle email will do. Not only limited to amazon books.
The mediatek powered Kindle Paperwhite is a really awesome ereader in my opinion
Any tips as an Australian about how to borrow books on the kindle? I hear that overdrive doesnt work in australia on kindle?
You don't need a wire to send books to your kindle. I usually download ebooks from the internet, and then send the book to my kindle using Calibre. It automatically reformat .txt or .epub ( or whaever fomat) into .mobi and then send to my kindle with my Amazon account setting. It's soooooo much easier!
thats awesome! :)
