Congratulations to our su-metal for winning female metal singer of 2024 award🔥❤️❤️
Leave it All Behind was the first time i listened to Babymetal. When SuMetal did the cute hands to face thing is when i fell in love with Babymetal(and became a SuSimp lol) and then Moa & Momo told me to "do it, do it now!" I said "yes ma ams i will go down the fox hole!" They became and have been my favorite band since 😊
That part Su-metal did the cute hands, that is the first time EVER she's done that as Su-metal. Heck, she never did that as Suzuka in Sakura Gakuin either. It's just not part of her personality. But we love her anyway!
@@John-l7y1t she did something similar in the ratatata video I watched and I love it! Her smile is infectious
Welcome to The One!🤘🦊🤘
@@Codametal she did the same thing but with only right hand in Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai Legend 1997.
The famous death stares have been replaced with smiles and grins and I am all for it. I love seeing Su happy with what she's doing, she deserves it.
Suzaku was just voted best Female Metal Vocalist of 2024!
Well deserved!
Great triple reaction. F Hero flew in to Japan specially to perform on the first two nights of the 2019 tour. There is a video of this same performance with the live audio - it is so much better!
The third girl was the Avenger Kano. This was her first show with BABYMETAL - she was only 14 at the time.
They performed in Bangkok in Thailand in 2023 and F Hero made another special guest appearance.
Bodyslam's guitarist is a huge BABYMETAL fan, he was at that show in the audience. When they made the video for 'Leave It All Behind' the rest of the band were teasing him for fan-girling so much.
'PA PA YA' is a summer festival song - and it really is about a spicy green papaya fruit salad. F Hero was rapping in Thai to the same rhythm as mixing the ingredients for the salad with a mortar and pestle.
They are pretty much saying that, much like the salad, mixing the right spices into life will make that better too.
When you go to see them live be sure to take a towel or buy one or something you can swing round your head during 'PA PA YA', Su, Moa and Momo love to see everybody doing that.
'Leave It All Behind' has a great balance between the 3 artists, but I'm with you - BABYMETAL always steal the show in their collaborations even though they have no intention of doing that.
Bodyslam were playing at Summer Sonic in Bangkok - they invited F Hero and BABYMETAL to join them as their special guests.
@@Grington300 I can always count on you to break it down for me 🤘🦊
@@ShadeReactsLive I'll always try if I think I can help👍
@@ShadeReactsLive Most of Babymetal's official videos feature the studio audio over the live performance. Indeed, the actual live audio is better. The Sun Also Rises show from 2019 is where this video come from and it's worth seeing.
Also, the real audio has the: Su-metal: Come on F.Hero !
Hell yeah man! These 2 songs are great. And yeah, Babymetal doesn’t miss! Also, Bodyslam’s guitarist is a huuuge Babymetal dan, so he was over the moon with this collab 🤣.
_Pa Pa Ya!!_ is relating a summer festival to the Thai spicy papaya salad, that brings all the boys and girls together.
Babymetal sings in Japanese and English, but Su does do a line in Thai as well in _Leave it All Behind_
And yeah, Moa has gotten her head banging down. In shows, her and Momo are even challenging the crowd to headbang during the song Headbanger 😂.
One observation: Su’s vocals live are truly amazing. I always wondered how they would truly sound, having seen fan cams with questionable audio, and also knowing their live Blu Rays are slightly touched up. When I saw them in DC, I was thoroughly amazed. She sounded *_almost_* perfect.
Looking forward to the Trilogy of Lights! Just keep in mind: to many fans, Starlight (and maybe even Shine) is considered an “unofficial” tribute to the passing of Kami East guitarist, Mikio Fujioka (RIP, Legend).
🤘🦊
Pa Pa Ya live gets the crowd pumped jumping & waving towels like maniacs. Leave All Behind dropped out of nowhere during spring break last year & I heard it everywhere, just like RATATA in the summer,
Next recomendation from Babymetal might be "Brand New Day", their collab with Scott LePage & Tim Henson from Polyphia
I definitely agree! Amazing collab!
Yupp
guitar playing and..... everything is amazing, even the finger snap are so beautiful, and Su-Metal voice . ? Oh my god her range is insane!
Put u'r Kitsune up! 🤘🦊🤘
Their amazing collab
@@alfinrizky2681 I love Tom Henson! I didn’t know they collaborated with babymetal until comments on this video hahaha
Another Babymetal collab combo would be Brand New Day with Polyphia Live Mv and Bekauf with Bloodywood ,a metal band from India, the Mv is cool and animated
The lyrics are English, Japanese, and Thai. Su-metal sings one lyric in Thai. This song is a lot harder than bodyslam's usual style. The MV was filmed on a Bangkok sound stage with all 3 acts present.
Bekhauf by Bloodywood ft BABYMETAL was just released last month, and has a kickass music video. I don't think they've performed it live together yet (Bloodywood has done it on their own) but it's another great international collab, this time mixing Hindi with Japanese & English. Edit: and now I got to the part where you pointed out the video :) so I guess you know already
I was lucky enough to go to Summer Sonic Japan 2023 in the middle of a vacation that just so happened to correspond to the last two days of the trip. Ended up overpaying for a last minute resale ticket but it was 100% worth it! Got to see many of my favorite japanese and international artists for two days straight and ended it perfectly with babymetal being the closing show. Ended up being one of, if not, the best day of my life! If you ever get the opportunity to see babymetal in Japan or in one of their arena shows please go. Their tour shows are great but they cant compare to a japanese/dedicated fanbase crowd full of energy and enthusiasm!
Pa Pa Ya!!
"Pa Pa Ya!!" (stylized in all caps) is a song by Japanese 🇯🇵 heavy metal band Babymetal featuring Thai 🇹🇭 rapper F. Hero [th]. It was first released as a digital single on June 28, 2019.
•Welcome to the Babymetal Foxhole. "PA PA YA" is from Babymetal third album METAL GALAXY. Papaya is a tropical fruit available anywhere in Asia especially in the region of South East Asia. "PA PA YA!!" is a dance song with an underlying massage of striving for personal excellence, collaboration with a very well known Thailand rapper from Chiang Rai name Natthawut Srimok nickname Golf but known popularly by his stage name F.HERO (Fukking Hero) and specialise in the Hip-Hop and Rap genre. Some remarks in Thai lyric translation part:-
•Molam= Thai-Isan local music
•"Papaya -Pok-Pok= Thai pun phrase means •Som-Tam, Thai food made up from papaya-chopped mix up with chilli, tomato, garlic, palm sugar, lots of vegetable and others depends on varies area. "Som-Tam" also have the same meaning with "Hanaka"= Thai old snack, slang word means like "sugoi" in Japanese. Great reaction. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult.

Babymetal singles chronology:-
"Elevator Girl": (2019), "Pa Pa Ya!!": (2019).
Background and release:-
"Pa Pa Ya!!" was released worldwide on June 28, 2019, just ahead of the band's performance at Yokohama Arena the same day. The song was also released as a bonus CD to the box set Metal Resistance Episode VII - Apocrypha: The Chosen Seven.
As Moametal states, "Pa Pa Ya!!" has a fun performance, and is the first of their songs to feature a rap section.
Composition:-
Similar to other Babymetal songs, "Pa Pa Ya!!" gathers influence from various genres while preserving the band's J-pop and electronic music. With its name referring to the papaya, "Pa Pa Ya!!" contains components of southern lands, Japanese festivals, and a chaotic tune, for a "hot upper tune" in the summer. The song is composed of an "infectuous synth line", "bouncy guitar riffs", and vocals repeatedly yelling "Pa pa ya", with the tune showcasing Su-metal and Moametal singing around each other in contrast to the chants and guitars. F.Hero raps a verse which provides elements of nu-metal, and applying "horror-esque synths" against the bubblegum chorus.

Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult.
They can sing about anything:
You heard them singing about chocolate.
They also sing about a mint-flavored time machine Bubblegum => Awadama Fever
About just the number "4" => Song 4 / 4 No Uta
About playing tag with an Oni => Catch me if you can
⚡ 💕 / 🌶 🌞
'PA PA YA!!' was filmed at Yokohama Arena.
The 'BABYMETAL AWAKENS - THE SUN ALSO RISES' concerts were their first two shows of 2019.
The LEGEND MM shows were at the same location, five years later.
Once again, great reaction, Kitsune. You know, speaking of collaborations, I think you definitely need to see our girls with legend, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, live! That performance is a classic!! Simply Amazing! See you! 🤟🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
It's Papaya, the reason you should bring a towel to a Babymetal concert.😄
Awesome collab f.hero, Babymetal and Bodyslam, A combination of three languages and styles, Rap in Thai/eng, Japanese Kawai metal and rock thai band.
I suggest BM's song "Awadama fever", about bubble gum :-D
I didn't read all the comments, so I'm sure someone's already filled you in, but that was the studio audio for Pa Pa Ya. There is a live version of that same performance and it honestly is almost identical but more badass because you know it's live. F.Hero didn't do the harshes in the studio version, but after he came onstage in the live, he did sing all those parts, and he's awesome at it. (I'll leave the song meaning explanation to someone else. :p)
I love Leave It All Behind. So uplifting. It's time for Bekhauf now. Su sings a bit in Hindi. It's soooo goooood. 🤘🦊🤘
Started learning Japanese a while ago... I can confirm they sing in three languages: Thai, Japanese and English...
If you want to hear them sing in Hindi, then check out their recent collab with Bloodywood.
Great triple reaction, again! "Pa Pa Ya!" is a banger, right? 😁When you experience it live for the first time at a venue, you´ll be blown away. Even more energy 😄
"Leave It All Behind" is a true collab between three bands, a thing you rarely see nowadays. Even more so, as it is so extremely well balanced, and having a very well written song behind it. Yes, Moa AND Momo got their own parts, which was a novelty 😄Yeah, I know, BABYMETAL steal the show as soon as they get active, but hey, that´s alright. They ARE that great 😉 A part of it certainly was the costumes. The current costumes are more badass, but the rainbow coloured iridescend parts of the former costumes made them stand out so much.
The live performance in Bankok was quite special. BABYMETAL did the original choreography, but they changed parts of it quite freely. Did you notice the rotation they did at the beginning, with F.Hero´s part? So that Su-Metal ended up on the right side of the stage and Toon (the singer of Bodyslam) on the left side? Nice move, if it was planned that way. But to me it seemed that they made this move on the fly, even more so, as Su-Metal moved in front of F.Hero while he was rapping his part. If they did it on the fly, that would make it even more impressive, as it looked very intentional. They are such pros 😄
Yeah, the headbanging... Moa and Momo do "Hedoban Battle" all the time (although not at the arena shows). Sometimes even Su joins, and Moa often puts her arm on Su´s back, because Su is often jumping unintentionally while headbanging 😅 Moa´s headbanging is so badass... extremely fast, and often it seems like her forehead is touching the stage floor. That´s an illusion tho, caused by the speed with which she moves her whole upper body, and by her very long hair, which is indeed touching the ground.
OMG, 14 year old Kanometal. She was so young!
"Kanonon, Kanonon, Genkina ko!"
@@rickwagner- And she still looks the same today!
I also saw her amazing performance with OneFive on TV on New Year's Eve.
@@dingjk5630 The one in Taiwan? I watched that too. It was sooo cute!
In terms of the languages in Leave it All Behind Babymetal's part is mostly Japanese but Su does sing a couple of lines in Thai during the parts she's harmonising with Bodyslam.
nice reaction Shade-Metal, it looks as though my brothers have filled in all the details, so I will just reiterate that since you said the "Trilogy" that when it comes to "SHINE" although the song itself is masterclass, the Live debut at Legend M is by far the best version with an emotional experience of watching two beautiful souls coming together to overcome tragedy and forge a new bond into the future, it brings a tear to my old eyes every time.
I don't think it's any kind of a dis on the other artists. Babymetal just shine brighter than most mere mortals. Another great reaction and so glad you're going with the Legend MM version of Arkadia. Honestly for spectacle, sound and pure joy at the end this version of Arkadia is just a step above. Plus you've got all the ladies (no Avengers).
I do want to no disagree so much as to point out on the excitement and energy of Pa Pa Ya. This was an "Official" live version. So studio audio over the live performance. There is a fantastic pro-shot of this same show with the actual live sound and IMHO really amps the energy up. For starters you can actually hear that amazing crowd energy you can only see in the official version. I will include the link should you wish to see for yourself. Pa Pa Ya pro shot: ua-cam.com/video/rt5Zfxijfcg/v-deo.html&start_radio=1
@@robote7679 the version you sent is so much better imo. Just watched it… wow! 🤯
@@ShadeReactsLive So glad you liked it...kinda knew you would! 🤘🦊🦊🦊🤘
Su, Moa & Momo look like they are having so much fun in that live performance.
the dancer was Kano Fujihara Momo had not yet made her first appearance with Babymetal I will edit this to say the dancer in the PAPAYA Live was Kano I realized you could have been refering to the Leave It All Behind Live
@griffenberg sorry yes, I was talking about the Leave It All Behind live.
Brrrrrrrrrrring it on brrrrrrrrrring it! The way Su is rolling those r’s is pretty nuts ❤
Pa Pa Ya is another food song, probably because xd 😂
Mini Su stare at 4:37. I got mad love for F. Hero. Super cool dude. Pa pa ya was Moa's fav song from Metal Galaxy. She loved having the fans twirl their shirts and towels. Also, im about 97.5% sure that this is the same venue where part of Moabanger was filmed. Someone may be able to confirm or deny this. But when Moa holds the mic up, the stage moves all the way down and back up and I think it was this same stage. "That was so much fun", yeah thats pretty much what the song is about. Summer fun. There is a behind the scenes video for Leave it all behind as well.
PA PA YA was at Yokohama, Moabanger was in her home town (I think Nagoya?) a week or two later. They did have the same stage design for both locations.
The PA PA YA!! music video was filmed at the BABYMETAL AWAKENS - THE SUN ALSO RISES - pair of concerts on June 28th & 29th, 2019 in Yokohama Arena, Yokohama. Moabanger (all of it) took place at the BABYMETAL ARISES - BEYOND THE MOON - LEGEND - M - pair of birthday concerts for Moa on July 6th & 7th, 2019 in Portmesse Nagoya in Moa's birth city Nagoya.
Let's celebrate the summer festival together by eating fruit salad with papaya! This song is about men and women making noise and dancing!
Papaya is usually the fruit papaya!
Pa Pa ya is far from my favourite BM song but I can absolutely attest that it is a highlight of their live show. So much energy and so much damn fun. BxMxC and Gimme Chocolate gave me the same vibes. The audience goes totally nuts and it’s so much fun live.
Fan cam phone recording audio can be brutal for singers. Gotta keep that in mind for fan cam stuff.
@@jhorse6968 oh yeah we all know what Su can do!
I think Leave it All Behind is my favorite collab so far! My wife and I had a really bad year last year, dealing with depression and trauma and all kinds of stuff, and when this song came out it became our theme song. So uplifting and inspiring. Babymetal to me are kind of like cheerleaders for life! It feels like they're always cheering everybody on to kick ass and work hard for a better life. So inspiring!
Both are such great songs. Papaya is on my workout playlist. loving your multi video format. looking forward to your reactions to "the one" and "iine" they each have a MV and live ver as classic line up and current! Thanks!
Very cool!!!
Babymetal in the Avengers era... Momo was one of the Avengers, but she worked with Riho and Kano. I think at this show it was Kano-Metal (Kano Fujihira)...
Enjoy Babymetal !!!
Both great colabs IMHO I think Leave it all behind got quickly overshadowed because Ratatata was such fire and the girls were playing it live all over Europe with ECB.
They used this stage on their performance at the LAForum
You can see that BABYMETAL itself is also made up of collaborations. Yes, it's a cross between SU-METAL and MOA / MOMO.
And their messages in the background are always my favourite.
WATCH SHANTI SHANTI AND OH MAJINAI NEXTTT ❤❤❤
Nice reaction. A total summer fun song. Just another song about food, or is it? Actually, it's like most of their songs. It's about all of the above. It's what you make it to be. About living you best life, just bring it. It's about eating spicy papaya salad while at a music festival. It's about Su being able to sing anything. And now we know Babymetal works with others as well. And when they do it seems like they get them to Bri Bri Bring it. Bodyslam is rockband and they can go hard but not going so hard they're doing metal. But hear Babymetal and F.Hero get them to go harder than they normally would. Happened with Bring Me the Horizon as well. Leave it All behind is a great song. While it is a F.Hero song. Babymetal does make it feel more like it's their song as soon as they start singing. I really liked that Moa and Momoko got their own lines in the song as well. Let us not leave out the Bodyslam guys they came through this song like champs. And for many that guitar solo needed to be longer. The song is done in three languages Thai, English and Japanese. Su even sings some in Thai. And they're little even while standing on rocks. LOL. Just don't tell Moa. And as always when Babymetal goes live they just turn everything up. I would love to get to them all live one day.
The dog lives!! I was beginning to think she was a taxidermy dog. 😂
I don't think I have ever seen that live version of LIAB. That was nice to see. F Hero was waving the PAPAYA towel in this song too. :)
Koba was impressed by Su’s powerful voice that he said would not be “overwhelmed by heavy music surrounding her”
For the "Trilogy of Lights" my personal suggestion would be;
Starlight from Legend MM 2024 - ua-cam.com/video/SVZ8PoaZ3Vs/v-deo.html
Shine from Legend M 2019 - ua-cam.com/video/M6BGL1DsBr0/v-deo.html
Arkadia from Legend MM 2024 - ua-cam.com/video/as315wXm_u4/v-deo.html
There are other videos but a lot of them are compilations which I don't particulary recommend, though obviously the choice is yours, and perhaps others might have better recommendations, but thought I would just comment anyway. :)
3 great versions, 😁🤘🏼🦊
@@V3RiK Seems like good choices to me
Well see someone already mentioned about the audio for Pa Pa Ya, anytime you see Official Video it's studio audio whether it's an actual music video or live footage, the audio is studio. However, if it says Official Live then it is both live performance and live audio. Pa Pa Ya specifically if you paid attention, you noticed the crowd waving things around throughout the song. When I saw them live, unfortunately they weren't selling any towels or anything of the like for it, so instead I ended up using one of the three shirts I had bought at the concert. By the time the song ended, my arm was dead and couldn't lift it for a good minute afterwards.
For when you do Bekhauf, you will not be disappointed I will say that, though it may take a listen or two to really enjoy. Oh and it also is in three different languages as well, Hindi, English and Japanese.
Sugoi! The 3rd girl in this video is Kano Fujihira (1 of the 3 Avengers). She was only 14 at the time. Kano is a current and founding member of the J-pop Idol group @onefive. Arigato! 🦊🤘
I was JUST saying that! Kanonon, kanono, genki na Ko!
Kano’s a Bad Ass!
Asian AVENGERS, assemble!
Yes, the girls are singing in 3 languages!
PAPAPAPAYA!! This song is such a blast even your doggie was activated 😂
Happy to see you back to BM.
I know you receive a lot of different recommendations (all of them justified) but you need to watch them singing Breaking the Law and Painkiller with Rob Halford at the AMPAS 2016. You are going to love it, guaranteed.
Babymetal are so versatile, they could make a collab with Justin Bieber and make it sound awesome.
Great reactions. PaPaYa. Yes, it's about papaya, partying and summer. Leave It All Behind is sung in their native languages so BM is singing in Japanese. This was the first MV I saw wher Su-metal didn't look like she was going to melt your face off with her death stare. Instead, she melted faces with her smile. You should check out Yava! There are two different versions, one with Yui and the East Kami intro and the newer version with Momo and the West Kami band solo intro.
Nice reaction! These collaborations are perfect.
It's time to start reacting to Su's solo songs (Amore, No Rain No Rainbow, Rondo of Nightmare and Akatsuki), as well as the Trilogy of Lights (Starlight, Shine and Arkadia).
Su sings in Japanese, English and Thai. Su tries to,speak to audiences in their native languages everywhere she goes. There’s a video,of her saying hello in everything from English and French to Dutch and even Finnish. It’s small touches like these that make BABYMETAL even more loved.
She even goes as far to use local ways to greet people. In hamburg she used the northern german greeting "Moin" :D The cutest thing I've heard. Someone on the comments there said "Total charme offensive" ^^
Pa pa pa paya! 🤘🦊🤘
at Summer Sonic 2024 in Tokyo, Babymetal appeared as a special guest when BodySlam appeared on the Pacific Stage and performed the song Leave It All Behind without the presence of F.Hiro.
You definitely need to see Syncopation. One of their best lives, and it was a Japan exclusive on the album so for years all we had were fancams until they finally released it to stream in the US and gave us an official video just a few months ago.
Other things to add to your list:
Band-Maiko - Band Maid's April Fools alter ego group, Gion Cho is amazing.
Electric Callboy - Hate/Love from the Hypa Hypa era, Hurrikan, Pump it, Spaceman, every single song they have is incredible.
Ryujin/Gyze - Samurai Metal, Asian Chaos, Oriental Symphony
Hanabie - Ito Okashi My Type, We Love Sweets, Run Away
Mergingmoon - Melodic death metal, they were featured on Anthony Bourdain years ago (RIP)
Nemophila - Another amazing all-female metal band. Adabana, Style, Dissension. They're huge Electric Callboy fans and have a song "Night Flight" that is in the same funny/goofy style that EC is known for. Definitely watch after you've seen Pump It. They want to collab with them, so fingers crossed.
Unlucky Morpheus - Another awesome band that uses violin.
Wagakki Band - Going on hiatus sadly but they're a rock band that uses traditional Japanese instruments.
We're truly in the golden age of Japanese metal, if you ever have a chance to see any of these bands live in Japan, especially in a smaller venue, it's incredible. I saw band maid in a 300 person venue in Osaka and it was one of the best live shows I've ever been to.
Germany isn't slacking either, Samurai Pizza Cats is a group with some of EC's members in a similar style. Pizza Homicide features Nico as well. Future Palace is great too, they supported EC on a lot of their Europe shows and the singer Maria has featured in some of their shows for their female-vocal collabs.
collaborations that you need.

Again, we have the usual response when BM enter the picture, instant smiling! They just have a way of doing it don't they. To The Queen (and newly crowned Female Metal Vocalist of 2024) and her Princesses, there can never be enough words to describe how you make us feel when we watch you. So I'll narrow it down to one.......perfection.
This is a perfect workout song. Humble suggest for a new band you may enjoy: "Maximum the Hormone" is a unique super heavy metal band that's been in the game for a while.
Love seeing Moa having a blast all over the stage dancing around with the guitarist and the drummer. 🥰
great triple bill. The live version was great to see them having so much fun . The guitarist doing the solo is a big BabyMetal fan who said in an interview that he was so happy working with BabyMetal basically fanboying . their is a Making of Video of Leave it all behind . i am now looking forward to The Trilogy of Lights
👍😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Pa-pa-ya! is the best Metal song ever about tropical fruit. 🦊🤘🤘🦊
Yes, Trilogy of Lights!!! Arkadia (the third song) is one of my favourites). 🤘🦊🤘
Nice reaction..
Get more babymetal stuff 🤘🏻🦊❤️
@@thefoxhole-y1u I have a playlist on my channel with all my babymetal stuff so far! Feel free to check it out 🤘🥃🦊
@ShadeReactsLive I will check it
Do Bekhauf please! It's my favorite BABYMETAL collab! 🙏🏽
Hey Shade!
Good reactions as always.
One note: the PA PA YA video uses the visuals from the "BABYMETAL AWAKENS - The sun also rises" show, BUT... studio audio.
The real audio is epic, F Hero sounded EVEN MORE energetic. Su screams to introduce him to the crowd. They thank each other at the end. And it also features an epic eastern chilling backtracked music intro.
this is similar to the gimme chocolate video. The visuals are from "Legend 1997" show but studio audio.
There are other examples of videos like this.
So, there are... ways... to find the right video 😅😅. But you know, copyright issues probably.
PD: I have been troubles publishing comments, may be it will appear 5 or 6 times! Sorry!
Yes, for future reference for Shade if he sees this, if a video on Babymetal's channel looks like live concert footage it will only have live audio if the word "Live" is included in the title. Otherwise, it's a music video that happens to use video footage from a concert overlaid with studio audio.
In case you missed it, Bodyslam is a band - not an individual. They are one of the most well known Thai rock bands. Yes, there are three languages here: Thai, Japanese, English.
Thanks for saying this, I thought Bodyslam was the singer of that group
Moa moves the Earth when she head bangs! Would absolutely Love to see you do “Catch me if you can” from Legend 1997, then an older one if you can find one with the band intros🙏 Hope you’re having a great night man!🦊🤘
The body slam guitarist is a huge BABYMETAL fan. He couldn’t believe they were collaborating. This may be partly the reason they made a bit of a fuss of him when leaving the stage.
Also BABYMETAL make everything better just by being there.
Doing the trilogy of lights try & see the legend M version it’s something very special between Su & Moa.
Great triple one!!
Babymetal has 2 styles of music video so to speak. One is proper music video, like "Megitsune", and "Metali", where there is proper filming. Other one is using footage from live performance with some edits, and studio audio. Like "Gimme Chocolate", and "Papaya" that you just watched.
The 'official live music video', use footage from live performance with edit, and live audio. Like the one with "Ratatata", and "Kingslayer". With the live audio, you can hear the crowd, so it's easy to distinguish.
"Papaya" is essentially a summer party song, inspired by a Thai's food. It was released when Momo was still an 'Avenger'. The one in the music video was Kano. Babymetal invited F.Hero to feature on the song. He has said that it surprised him, that a group as big as Babymetal knew of him. Babymetal also invited, and helped out F.Hero and his family to fly out to Japan, to appear on that live show with them where they debuted the song.
"Leave It All Behind" is F.Hero's song because it was his idea. And he's the one who invited Bodyslam and Babymetal. It's somewhat a return favor of his feature in "Papaya". Babymetal was singing in Japanese, and one line in Thai. The switch-up in the middle is sung by both Moa and Momo, which usually the way they do it. Bodyslam is a Thai rock band, and they've said that this song is their heaviest song. One of the member of Bodyslam is a Babymetal fan, and it was a dream come true for him.
The live version you saw was the first, and the only time so far, that the song is played live with all three of them. It was on Bodyslam's set on Summer Sonic Festival. So Bodyslam's singer is a little more worn out. F.Hero and Babymetal was only there as a guest appearance. They technically wasn't in the festival line up. The video was a fancam, so audio was never gonna be great.
Anyway, can't wait for "Trilogy of Light". It's 3 different songs that are mostly connected in term of the meaning of the lyrics. The order is "Starlight", "Shine", "Arkadia".
Enjoy! 🦊🦊🦊
いつも見応えあるビデオありがとうございます🤘🦊♪
Babymetal is captivating. 🙂
F.Hero asked his friend to make the structure of Leave It All Behind so each band could have their own part and style included, but if you get into the details, they all also do something they regularly don't do, but take from the others. For example, the band Bodyslam is a rock band, but they play some metal in this song. F.Hero uses his harsh vocals again, but he's actually a rapper, etc.
Need "Bekhauf" next
Now you have to do Babymetal's latest collab with Indian Metal band, Bloodywood's song, BEKHAUF! THE VIDEO IS A FREAKING ANIME!!!
Oooo I’ll check that out next!
BabyMetal is singing in Thai
For future reference, if a video on Babymetal's channel looks like live concert footage it will only have live audio if the word "Live" is included in the title. Otherwise, it's a music video that just happens to use video footage from a concert overlaid with studio audio.
I like your reaction, I'm happy because I can understand you since I'm learning English, most of the times I can't understand to other guys, but your way of speaking and expressing yourself is the best and understandable, thank u. You win a follower. 🤘🏼
Yay! Thank you! I talk slow so I am sure that helps
it is definitely papaya, its an aggressive summer song about a fruit lol.
they say it that way because it sounds good in the song and because of the japanese language is broken up into syllable groups basically, pa pa ya or パパヤ
yes, Babymetal is singing in Japanese in Leave it All Behind. 3 different languages in one song 🙂
UA-cam just deleted my comment. 2 times now. yay. So I will type it again. When you do Shine (from the trilogy) try to do the Legend M version. It is hard to find and blocked a lot. You may only find one that is a compilation between Legend M and another show. I have the video in a google doc if needed.
It's a very special performance with just Su and Moa. Kano was the Avenger for the show but I think they wanted Moa to have more the stage and spotlight for this since it was her Bday show.
Also I am just about finished with a Momo statue that goes with the Moa one you saw. I will post the 3 ladies soon. 🤘🦊🤘
To me, the funniest part about "Leave It All Behind" is, if you look closely, you'll see in the credits at the end that F. Hero has a hair stylist.
Stylistically, it was more of a Babymetal song vs. Bodyslam, since they are normally soft rock.
Oh! Majinai is another collab song with the lead singer from Sabaton and it's such a fun, trippy song that will have you nai nai nai-ing for DAYS
K, I got one for ya. There's one with Babymetal and Rob Halford from Judas Priest and the east kami band they play painkiller, and breaking the law, and in breaking the law, moa and yui are playing guitars.. 🤘😁🤘
Please, do the trilogy of lights but for the second song shine(one of my favorite live performances of BM) do legend M (Moas bday) because Su is perfect singing and Moa steal the hearts of everybody watching with a surprise. Great reaction again, I love leave it all behind, it is the song that shows a new side of Su smiling and being... Well...Su.
A trick for you to recognize when a BM MV is actually live: most of BM official MV have live footage with studio version dubbed in. WHen there is actual live music, there is "Live" in the title, like "Live BluRay" or "Live Music Video", or "Live in Japan", something of the sort.
If you want to hear some Rap or Hip Hop from BM, there are a few older BM songs 😄
THere is some in "Iine" and in "Onedari Daisakusen" 😄
Pa Pa Ya is my favourite BM song. Not because it's their best but because it is 100% fun. There is an earlier live version with Yui and F Hero makes an appearance there too. I enjoy F Hero because of this song much to the annoyance of my Thai girlfriend, she is not a rap fan. She does however love Bodyslam like most people in Thailand they are crazy famous there. Another great reaction. Maybe look into the Unhelpful guide to BabyMetal it's a pretty cool video telling you all you need to know about the band from founding to Momo.
I actually did a reaction of me watching the guide! I learned so much. I had not even heard of Gimme Chocolate before that guide lmao
Haha I remember first discovering them. Why do I like this. Should I like it. Now I tell everyone to listen to them. I'll go check out that reaction.
I think the Trilogy of Light would be something great now :) It consists of "Starlight" "Shine" and (my favourite) "Arkadia"
PA PA YA makes people go so wild in the crowd it's insane
Leave it all behind now has a special meaning for me. Last year was pretty much a big pile of shit that seemed endless and at times it felt like I was stuck in this downward spiral of worries and sorrow. But things are going better now and as of now I feel very hopeful and I am sure there are better times ahead and I just have to leave that old garbage behind me.
Best mindset to have! Su's lines in that song can bring a smile to anyone, anytime. Glad you are doing good. Just leave that bullshit in the past and move on.
BABYMETAL are mostly singing in Japanese/English.. apart from when Queen Su repeats the Bodyslam guy's vox at one point in Thai
Leave it all behind live version, the singer started off key. He didn't get on key until Su started singing.
I've been to Babymetal concert twice,,i know them since 2015,today when i hear the song i feel sad, they have grown up,we don't know until when we can see them

2024 was a year of great success for Japanese female artists.
My only complaint with Leave It All Behind is that guitar solo needed to be longer.
You are officially the first react channel I've subscribed to lol I'm having a very similar journey of checking out a bunch of heavy Japanese girl bands. You gotta check out the original version of Onedari Daisakusen with Yui and Moa and then Moas solo performance of the same song after Yui left Babymetal 🤘🦊
You never forget your first ;D
Also, thanks for the recommendation haha
@ShadeReactsLive I already put these under your Metali video but while I have you here I think these two would make a good video.

and
Kagerou live ua-cam.com/video/Hg3QsPI3x1M/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
In that order. They both have intros in the live performances where every member of the Kami Band really gets to shine, plus the songs are obviously bangers too lol.
All hail the fox god😊
🦊🥃🤘
You should do 'Oh! MAJINAI', it's a short one but fun as hell :).
Great great reaction😊 Please do No Rain, No Rainbow live at Legend S Baptism XX
You should watch [Behind The Scenes] F.HERO x BODYSLAM x BABYMETAL - LEAVE IT ALL BEHIND from High Cloud Entertainment, gives a great insight to the collab.
🤘🤘🤘🦊🦊🦊🔥🔥🔥
Both songs are really great and uplifting, yes. I also like the Bodylam singer's voice - all three artists sound really good together.
Thai person here to explain Pa Pa Ya! So, there's this Thai dish called Papaya Salad that's made using papaya (duh), assorted chili peppers, lime, fish sauce, and varying other ingredients depending on the region it's being made in. It's all put into a mortar and combined by muddling and stirring with the pestle. The result is a spicy, tangy, and really satisifying salad that Thai people like to eat at any time of day. Basically, Pa Pa Ya! is a metaphor for how variety is the spice of life and should be celebrated, especially in people. It's a 'come together and love each other' sort of song.
Doggo just vibing in the back❤
Always! lol
if you want a good few to react to type shi, you should do su's solo songs all in one go. Akatsuki is some shi i adore and all 4 songs really bring out how amazing a vocalist su is. oh or maybe even do the black babymetal songs, those 4 will suprise you.
Besides Akatsuki, what are the other 3?
@@ShadeReactsLive Rondo of Nightmare, Amore and No Rain, No Rainbow
@ShadeReactsLive rondo of nightmare, amore, and no rain no rainbow. There's a few good live versions you can find but the studio versions are all just as amazing too!
Your Reactions could be one Hour long and i would still watch them, your very entertaining :).
There are probably two songs that don't feel like a BABYMETAL song. One is "Eternal Flames" by TMG. The other one is "THE END" by Lil Uzi Vert. They have more protagonism in this song, but it's just a bizarre song that often takes two or three listens to fully understand the hell is going on xD
Waiting for more BM as always, really fun video 🦊🤘
Damn I hadn't get to the end of the video yet, really looking forward for the trilogy of lights, and Arkadia Legend MM. I'm hyped
When it comes to 'The End' and 'Eternal Flames,' I call them 'take it or leave it' collabs as they were never really targeted towards fans of Babymetal, but more towards fans of the other acts, probably to reach out beyond their own fanbase. Both collabs were very successful in that regard, even if they weren't big hits with the majority of Babymetal fans. I think these songs will eventually become more accepted the more time that passes. Babymetal are always willing to annoy internal gatekeepers and purists, because they know these people need to learn that not every single thing Babymetal will do in the future is going to be designed specificaly for them.
BTW, 'The End' is actually a Paledusk song featuring Babymeal and Lil Uzi Vert and produced by Koba, rather than a Lil Uzi Vert song. When some people who h**e the collab more than the song realise this, they start to become a bit less snooty about it.😄
Check out Shanti and Bekhauf :D (India-Music :D)
Nice again! "Live it all behind" is great but "PA PA YA" is a pure energy. Not only Islay can wake up on it. Once i saw the reaction of one blogger. He was recovering from the surgery on his leg but with "PA PA YA" started jumping on his chair. If this song doesn`t make you smile and jump, you are really noy alive enough! Happy to meet you again, WhiskeyMetal... or Whiskeyslam?... or W.Hero?
