Hmmm... people say they don't understand her English, but I think her cover song was almost identical to the real song and I couldn't even tell them apart.
One thing all of us have in common, I don't understand her singing, and I'm sure most of you don't either But she's still cute right? Now, can anyone make this into a mod in persona 4 pc?
Jokes aside, Polka's English pronunciations are pretty good for a non-native. English is my first language yet I still struggle to pronounce "th" sounds ;; edit: NVM I was just referring to her little message in the beginning of the video. Then again english words tend to be slurred in Japanese songs sooooooo
@@AlphaetusPrime Irish English does have th, we just don't do it for the number 3 for some reason. Then again Cork English may be less thick than other Irish accents.
@@klarelles4859 As I understand it, the only major sub-dialect of Irish English that has dental fricatives is Ulster English, so if you distinguish between th and t, I would guess that your dialect has th as a dental stop. Or maybe dental fricatives are gaining prevalence and nobody has taken enough notice to write it down yet. I'm not Irish and I'm also not a linguist, I just think this sort of thing is fun to learn about.
She honestly nails the persona Engrish song vibes

Well, that just means the original is hard to be understood too.
Isn't that the point?
no its not-
I can't tell if you're insulting the original song or not. The lyrics are pretty clear.
Nah.. i just love the song and I think Polka singing English in a Japanese accent had a Similar feel to the original.
Seeing how one's a dictective this is pretty fitting
"We don't even have a sus with a sec because the perp with the mo's got a perf al. Shut up Amelia."

@@2tonesg Some dialects of English don't have dental fricatives. Irish English, for example.
