- A procession for fallen Cleveland Police Officer and Webster native Jamieson Ritter drove through the city he protected Monday.
Ritter's family, friends and colleagues remembered him Monday morning at Cleveland's Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.
"Today, we gather to honor a true American hero," Cleveland Police Chief Dorothy Todd said. "He was not just an officer - he was a guardian of our community, a beacon of hope and a symbol of strength."
Ritter, 27, was fatally shot in the line of duty early Thursday.
