If you're liking the 3M rolocs you should look into the brand Tyrolit. I used to sell the 3M but over last few years all my customer have switched over to Tyrolit and won't look back. Much longer lasting, the sand pads have a thicker backing plate so you can really get a good lean on them without bending or breaking. The grinding and cutting disks are very well made as well. Price wise they are a fraction of 3m and Walter.

I have had one for a almost a year and it is the handiest tool I have ever purchased! No more firing up the air compressor and no more air hose to get in way is also another plus.

I've seen this a few times in other videos, I have not bought one myself; however I plan to in the near future.
Many people in the other videos highly recommended getting this bit to go with because it removes things like gasket material of all kinds with extreme ease...
3M-18733 Roloc Bristle Disc Grade - 120, Size - 2 inch... I've seen it on Amazon and eBay as well.

The rpm setting numbers should have been molded into the plastic. That would have saved plastic and saved on a sticker that will fall off.

I think it's just intended for you to briefly see it and store it in your memory. No need for it to be permanent as you will develop a feel for the setting that you need anyway.

its not that hard to remember 10, 15, 20 and 25 for 1, 2, 3, and 4. its really a non issue. The sticker is there so you can quick reference right upon opening the box and saves you a trip to the user manual to find out that info. If you need this tool ....you should be able to remember that very simple info. The sticker lets you get right to work, with the info you need without having to read through a manual to find that info.

You are very fortunate, between me and guys at work we have 12 of them and evey single one cuts out during light and heavy use. We have tried high capacity batteries and even on light work they cut out. I think we got a bad batch but ive seen other videos and they seem to work like they should. As long as yours doesnt cut out then i agree it should be one of the best tools in the arsenal. Good luck w yours and hope you get a good one.

I have one. Love it ! Mostly use flap wheels for cleaning up metal, deburing.
    Use the smaller diameter disc’s.
2” discs create too much load, & overload protection will shut off the tool.
Jag 10 tools, is where I buy my flap wheels.

Donny another absolutely great review. I`m not a small engine repair guy but I have the m12 fuel hammer drill, impact driver, and the newer version of the multi-tool for my DIY projects. I bought the best because they are the tools that I would use the most and the 12V format is all that I need. For me, I don`t think I need a dedicated grinder but I do like how you polished those brake rotors on your African Twin.

  • @knighthawk86855
    @knighthawk86855 3 роки тому +2

And the biggest tip for this tool, only use 2" pads don't go to 3" otherwise it will keep turning off, because of the thermal overload protection, also on the collet you need to untighten it twice to get the shaft to come out easily..... Great video, I am slowly replacing all my mobile airtools with milwaukee cordless they are awesome tools.

As an aircraft mechanic, I do a bunch of corrosion blending with a 90-degree pneumatic die grinder. The only issue is that we have limited air hose hookups, and the hoses are cumbersome to deal with. Your review just sold me on this tool, especially since I already have other m12 products.

A problem I've encountered with Milwaukee paddle switches, is that it is necessary to remove too many fingers to switch off (release),in an emergency situation. You cannot get off the trigger fast enough without releasing too much of your grip on the tool. The single finger trigger is much safer! This peaks with the Milwaukee 3/8" close quarter drill, which is probably the most dangerous tool that I own.

Those Roloc™ pads are the shiz, the scouring pads which come in 3 or 4 colours which are different grades of coarseness. Great for carbon on piston crowns. Get a few pads they wear out. But you can buy AM rolocs too now, not as good as 3M but much cheaper.

Small correction about sales tax in Canada. The rate depends on which province you live in. In Ontario, it's 13% as stated in the video (combination of 5% Federal rate, plus 8% Provincial Rate). Alberta doesn't have a provincial tax, so they only pay the 5% Federal rate.

Don the OLD MAN at Eliminator just saying we use Milwaukee M12 brushless tools also and find they are one of the best. Originally bought the RIGID impact and drill 12V on their anniversary sale when they promoted LIFETIME warranty on everything including the batteries which i could not believe so could not pass it up. Registered the Rigid products on line and guess what? Eventually after 7 years the batteries would not take full charge, took all the Rigid tools and batteries with charger to the local shop for warranty and in two weeks received everything back with upgraded 18V batteries. Had to register these batteries on line again because they still carry the lifetime warranty. Now that is a serious deal, anyone else know where you can get lifetime warranties on batteries?
Here is the big tip of the day: Take the time to register your equipment purchases! You would be surprised how much equipment we work on and our customer gives us their manual package with the equipment and we take the time to register it, in some cases the parts are at no cost to them because it is under warranty or recall part upgrade!

A LOT easier than hooking up an air line to my pneumatic die grinder!

Nice tool but that sticker is terrible. Why not Mold the RPM numbers into the plastic and hot stamp it with the White paint.

    Hi
I'm thinking of buying the same grinder. mainly for sharpening my rideon mower blades.Have you ever used that grinder to put a sharp edge on the blades .I find a 4inch grinding dick is way to big.
