Watching stuff like this completely cements that this is what I want to do. While, yeah, the video is certainly more focused on the less work-type stuff, it still shows such a great environment this industry usually creates and even thinking about the intensive work aspects of seeing this project get made and my own (past, present, and future) gets me incredibly excited! I can't wait to see the film - the best stuff always comes from the most passionate, and y'all have such a clear passion for everything you do!
I work in the film industry and with the help of Ryan's videos and tutorials I got there. My first big break ended up being Bond 25/No Time To Die. Literally been watching film riot for about 7 years. All of it has paid off. Thank you Ryan!
Looking forward to the trailer. Strange though that nowadays even trailers get release dates :D I guess in the future we will get announcements for teasers, which announce trailers, which announce movies, which end with a teaser of the sequel ...
Best part. Besides Ryan making another amazing short. Was Lucas responding "Do you want me to do a bit? Like a Filmriot thing?". Oh god yes. This is comedy gold! Straight through.
Question...I saw from the previous video the editor is cutting with Premiere and in this post see that the colorist is in Davinci Resolve. We do the same thing at the post house I work for although, we are much smaller and do our own editing and coloring between me and my other editor. So my question is, when the editor handed off the film to the colorist, did he provide a single ProRes export along with an EDL file? Or did they reconstruct the edit in Davinci and color off the camera originals? Just curious how bigger more established post houses do things. Thanks guys.
Color grading is my favorite part of the prosess of post-production and editing. I love to see the colors and the vibe of the movie. I have seen all the clips in Log format and thats flat and boring. Altough I'm not a master at color grading. I just td o it for fun. I use your LUTs all the time Ryan and the Film Riot team. I love the "Logan" look :-)
This is so exciting!! Film Riot is really going places! Great job guys! Does anyone know if this was graded in ACES?? Or was the starting point an input LUT...?
Was that a projector screen or a huge LED TV that you watched the final edit on? In any case, can you give more examples? maybe even talk about good stuff to watch films on in your own studio?
Hey Ryan when you post the finished film could you add a link in the the description so we could watch it without the youtube compresion? Thank you! Love you!
The process with this film doesn’t look as stressful as Ballistic looked. Ryan doesn’t look stressed out of his mind seeing the first cuts of his film. Hopefully a good sign??
Love these BTS videos! Question: Technically speaking how do you tweak the cut after sound and color have started? Is there some magical way of not losing the sound work when they get the new cut?
@@ZachTigue big Budget cameras, no more editing on his own, color grading made by dorks in confined rooms. has people hired to look for Houses location. umm yeah snob.
@@andrukthegreat this isnt a DIY film channel. They still do smaller gigs. Ryan is taking his career to the next level all while giving us the BTS of what it looks like. If you cant appreciate that, idk what to say to ya but he is the least snobbiest filmmaker imo.
I have noticed that all the tutorials of spiderman climbing effects look very basic, it whould be much cooler if you could teach us how to make an effect more realistc and with more camera movement, there's also no effects on swinging from buildings etc o wish u make some

Chase: Ryan look, Lucas
Ryan: *Turns and sees Lucas*
Ryan: Uh oh. Aw Shit
Me: *Dying of laughter*
“Cool motorcycle. Another one........just in case.”
I couldn’t stop from laughing 😂
Can we take a moment to appreciate that fantastically executed NordVpn #ad bit 😂

I’m probably more excited than I should about this!!!

I think Lucas has a secret crush on Ryan LOL
It’s no secret. 👀
Don't we all...don't we all.
Can't wait to see the film. Gain so much knowledge from your channel. You guys are Rockstars in my eyes!
Can't wait to watch this film and hopefully it will become a feature film
🤞🏻

If Dave Grohl is the nicest guy in rock, you are the nicest man in indie filmmaking.
Yes another video! It’s like Christmas when that happens!!
Oh my god Ryan actually loved my comment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now it's like Christmas AND my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How did you know that I needed this? I guess you are just too amazing.
I can't wait to see the finished film!
This is great! These vlogging style videos can be really insightful.
So glad you dug it. Thanks for watching. :)
@@filmriot No problem :)
I swear, these interactions are a character study
Agreed
I genuinely think this might be the most excited I’ve been to see a movie this year! 🎬
🙌🏻 hope you dig it. One more week!!!
When I get a notification for a film riot upload I feel the same way that as a kid used to feel when finding my gifts under the christmas tree!
This was an awesome vlog Ryan! Love seeing your process to putting this short together!
Thanks. :) more to come.
My favorite part of the process
You have an amazing team bro...love your work...👍👍
Fun times. And that facility looks amazing.

Bruh I'm so ready for this teaser, even more ready for the film!

Good idea. I’ll add a Vimeo link.
I would love a desktop tour with Lucas! Especially how he've set up his macros, shortcuts etc.
Great masterpiece bro...Looking forward for the trailer
Excited to watch this one
Whoah the end.. I'm feelimg it brothaa
When are you organising one minute short film contest this year again??
I'm feeling this; can't wait! 😎
Cannot wait 😍😍😍
Does the DP usually oversee the color grading?
Yes. Unless there is a schedule conflict.
Cant wait for it!
Why is there mixed lighting in the color suite???
Yeah, thought the same thing. Maybe the household lights were on for the filming, but still...
What specs of Film Riot's PC or MAC?
Can't wait to see the trailer
So pumped!

Much less stressful. But also much less complicated than BALLiSTIC. This is a short simpler piece. But I’m thrilled with how it came out!
The Conclusion : Making a Scary movie seems to be less scary rather than making an action one ...
you are all relaxed and calm :)
Any one can help me ? How much minimum remuneration of Music video Director, cinematographer and music video editor in USA ?
Lucas starts to work finally

This is hilarious I shot my first short ever today and was getting frazzled. Love y'all!

Oh, Lucas!
Nice so close to release #shortfilm

I miss Josh. Watched the ad purely for him.
Josh was the best part of film Riot. Now it's all about Snob Ryan.
@@andrukthegreat bruh. Ryan aint no snob.
