I’m a little confused. Why didn’t u stop and wait for the rider to get back on, or at least acknowledge that she fell off? Suddenly there was just a riderless horse and no one had anything to say about it. And then the horse randomly went galloping off in its own direction and everyone carried on galloping and left it behind with its rider like 5 minutes behind. Were we not worried about it getting lost?
I too am slightly confused however it wouldn't get lost as their are people on maney points around the course who will aknowlage the horse has no rider and will be keeping an eye on it to catch it when it refuses to jump or galloped off. Have to say I am supprise they didn't wait for the rider to make sure he/she was OK and then carry on
Aha too right they carried on!!! Not got time to wait around. They even pulled it off to get second place!! These things happen nothing can be done, there’s medical professionals on site and which people to catch the horse!!! Before you come back at me, I’m the one who fell !
ShaeThatEquine In a teamchase you'd lose if you stopped for every person that fell off. I believe if you complete with 2-3 riders you are not DQed. Unless its a serious fall there is staff everywhere to deal with the situation, the teammate is in good hands.
Well done. A little tip for you - put an elastic band around the cheek pieces below the keeper then the keepers will not slip down leaving the flapping leather.
How do these events work? Does only one horse and rider from each team have to make it back for them to be in with a chance of placing or do more than one horse and rider have to make it back?
4 riders to start 3 to finish. each chase is timed, starting at the first rider, to the third rider home. each team will be entered on a board. The fastest team of the day wins. As an old Worcestershire Hunt member now living in California, I can tell you this fun on a fast, fit, horse. This course was much easier that the ones I remember, but then, I ran in open classes against really crack riders from all over England. The best fun I've ever had.
Hope the rider was ok after their dismount bless them. What a good pony for keeping up bless it man. X
I love the way they just carry on despite the fact there’s a loose horse who could trip on his reins and there friend had fallen of
there are people on course to come and catch the horse, it isn't the riders responsibility in that kind of situation :)

The pony is doing better on it’s own than with the rider😂

u know uv gotta honest horse when it doesn't need any encouragement into fences
it doesn't even need a rider
Whatever you do you stay in front of the loose horse because it could jump across you or hamper you the person in front was very lucky

It's a team race so there all a team and other teams compete with them compared to time not at the same time tho

Best horse of the year goes to this horse for jumping over every jump on it's own. Didn't need a rider to do it.
