    Can't believe this video is getting close to 3 years old now. Still holding out until they offer more modern reticles!

    Hi buddy I’m new to the long distance shooting, I recently bought a AI AXSR and I put the Tangent Theta on it. I have to say I’m very new to this and while I was trying to choose this scope or the Shmidt and Bender 5x45 I noticed exactly views that you brought up. You’re right on the ball with the parallax and the eye box. This thing is extremely forgiving and the parallax is as easy as a slight turn to clear up the picture. Great great review. It definitely helped me choose.

    Damn that's a nice scope. Proud Canada is getting into the game. I'm pretty new to the long range shooting community. And I'm using a Sightron which I actually really like. Got my hands on a SB at a gun show and was blown away! Amazing scope! And this even tops that...Unreal. Hear lotsa guys talking about wanting a TT. Time to start saving my nickels and dimes, plus a tax return might get me there. Great review!

    Amazing looking scope with great common sense features. Excellent review.

    Will be interesting to see if this gets more use in the PRS series. Vortex is absolutely dominating, so it's evident they'll adopt whatever is the best and not simply what is the norm.

      For a lot of reasons, I feel the gen3 is a better choice, not just the difference in price.

    WOW!!! What a nice optic. I'm currently on the market for a new optic. I would go with an Kahles K525i but now i would probably go with an Tangent Theta TT525p!

    thanks for the review! How far down the magnification range are the small reticle hash marks still useable before the reticle is too fine and looks like a crosshair?

    Gorgeous scope! You could feed a small country for the cost of it though.

    at 3:35, it seems that you have to be very careful with the .1 mil adjustments. In your experience, has the 'turret density' been a problem with the 15-mil/rev turrets?

    • @primalrights
      @primalrights  9 років тому +1

      thebelly925 No problem at all with click density. The reason you see me "being careful" is due to the Click Assist, the heavy click every full mil. If you don't apply a little bit of back-pressure when coming out to the first tenth, you can over-shoot the click when coming out of the heavy click. It's not very noticeable behind the rifle, but when you're standing up next to it while shooting video... it can be tough to hit that first tenth mil on either side of the heavy click. ;)

    • @thebelly925
      @thebelly925 9 років тому

      primalrights I'm a little cautious about turret density. I've had a runaway turret before (on a Leupy Mk4 LR/T 3.5-10 with the 1MOA clicks on top), and the results were VERY bad. As such, I'm pretty sensitive to that. My current optic has 5 mil revs, but there's an noticeable (and distracting) lash between the adjustments. I'm still watching this review, and I appreciate the quick response. PS I'm also SD born-n-raised.

    • @primalrights
      @primalrights  9 років тому

      thebelly925 The MK4 turrets are indeed horrific. No question about it. The MK6 and MK8 aren't really any better. Very bad clicks as compared with other scopes in the price range. I find the turrets on the TT's to be the best I've ever used, bar none. I own or have owned nearly every top end scope out there, so I have a very good base to compare against. If you are unhappy with the TT turrets, then it's unlikely that any scope could make you happy. :) If you are ever in the neighborhood, stop by and you can use one for yourself. It's always easier to make a judgement when you can go hands-on.

    Very nicely done and comprehensive review of the TT. I bought my 525P in small part based on this vid and to date it's been the most exceptional LR scope I've ever owned. Any chance of doing a similar review of the TT315M?

    how does this scope compare to a S&B 5-25x56? any plans for a Horus reticle H37 reticle

    • @primalrights
      @primalrights  10 років тому +1

      It is better in every respect. There are plans for more reticles, but which and when is yet to be decided.

      primalrights Looks like a great scope but it will be competing against a well known company in S&B... Would be nice to see one go head to head against the schmidt

    Is the TT usable at 25-35yds if the magnification is kept lower like 10x???
    Looking to possibly buy a used 5-25 TT for rimfire PRS rig

    • @primalrights
      @primalrights  2 роки тому

      Yes this is possible, however parallax error still exists to some degree, even at lower magnifications. You will still need to have an appropriate cheek weld.

      @@primalrights if you had to pick a new 5-27× ZCO or a slightly used 5-25× TT for basically the same price actually the TT a couple hundred less what would you go with?
      90% or more of all shooting done between 50-300yds with usually one target at 25-35yds per match

    • @primalrights
      @primalrights  2 роки тому

      @@joemeier3644 I would pick the Tangent Theta. They are my favorite scope. The only ones we sell presently. If the TT can be had cheaper than the ZCO, that is a steal.
