It can be a bit tricky for sure, but it's such a lovely grid to work within. I find working in one direction, one row at a time, keeps me on the correct course, mostly. It's a fab pattern to practice mindfulness though ! Hello to you from sunny South Wales ... in the UK!

Hello Angela, I just discovered your channel and very much love your approach of investigation patterns to the full. Yes, you definately show us something different and inspire to go further than just drawing and copying patterns of others.
In fact I work this way as well and filled many books with my own patterns (and origami designs, my other passion) and the endless variations of them. Thank you for shari g your artwork. All the bezt, José

Full of inspiration for fillers - great stuff, and your drawing is so neat. I think I try to work too quickly - I have to learn to slow down and enjoy the process and not rush towards a finished drawing. Looking forward to the next one!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you've found the video useful.
I naturally do drawing neatly. I do find I slow down my pen work if I need a bit more precise line, though if I slow down too much the line becomes wobbly! It's finding out what works best for you. And yes, enjoying the journey, not rushing and missing the joy that comes as you create, is so important.

At last I have time to look at your videos 😳 Huggins is also a pattern what I like, but..
It never looks so nice as yours..😍
It's amazing, how you fill it
    It makes my brain rolling
I hope to get time, to try your variations soon
Maybe on a trip to Wales

Funny, I never thing mine look as good as other peoples'! We're our own harshest critics. I'm trying not to judge myself against others' work and just express myself in my way.
Just be you in your work, and let the sense of beauty that is uniquely yours shine through in your work.
      xxx

On the topic of oxidation of metals, a question for your science students. "Would you like to live on a planet with a significant proportion of corrosive gas in its atmosphere?" The bright ones will know that they already do, and that without that corrosive gas, we would not be here.
