Steal Like an artist

I get it, sometimes you get stuck even as creativepreneur, but that's not an excuse to copy another person's work hook line and sinker, the fisherman and its boot. What happens to copying creatively?
I'm talking about using another artist's work as a springboard to launch yourself into something new.
Here's how:
* Deconstruct, Don't Duplicate: when you see that design you love, study it to know rhe part that resonates with you. Is it the color combination, or the shape of the style of the handle? Then, use those elements as inspiration for your own creation.
Now I know somepeople duplicate design and then write inspiration from the designer, you could do that, but I'm of the opinion that doing that will inhibit your creative juice from flowing.
* Combine design: Don't be afraid to borrow ideas from multiple sources and combine it to create something unique, take fore instance you're working on a bag design, you can copy the handle from Artist A, colour pallete from Arstist B and Shape from Arstist c.
* Change the Perspective: Take a familiar concept and flip it on its head. If You're an artist you can paint a joyful scene in a dark color scheme, or vice versa.
