It’s 2024 Paint Trends time and this year I’ve got an extra surprise for you! We’ve created coordinating whole home paint palettes for each trend! You can download our 2024 Paint Guide below with all the colors from this year’s video, plus our favorite all time paint colors for your home! Let me know what you think about the 2024 Paint Trends, and if you have a favorite you’re excited to use this year!
How do I get the paint guide. Ironside is my favorite color by Dutch Boy
thank-you for this. It was really informational. Would you be able to tell me your opinion on SW Alabaster vs Benjamin Moore Alabaster? I am drawn to Benjamin Moore. I've had people tell me they are the same, but I really don't think they are.
How do I get the Paint Guide?
❤
@@thekirksiffs5285Benjamin Moore paints are premium paints in the paint world. I was professionally involved in the paint world for over twenty years. Sherwin Williams is a very decent paint also and at about the same price point as Benjamin Moore. They have a great selection of colors. As does Behr. Behr has come a long way but,not quite at the level of the fore mentioned. The finishes are a little less varied, meaning they do not offer the levels of “ textures” that the previously mentioned paints offer.Still a decent paint if you are trying to save money on a large project. Dutch Boy and Glidden are the lower level products in comparison. If you like a color from one of these brands and can afford it, Benjamin Moore does a great job color matching from other brand.Hope that helps! Good luck with your projects!
And I replaced all of our white builder grade doors with solid wood and painted them all dark charcoal. Love it!
One of the BEST upgrades you can make in my opinion! Solid wood doors are worth every penny!
These videos never show homes owned by the average person. The majority of people own simpler homes. Not everyone is wealthy. Help everyone not just the wealthy.
I like the challenge of looking at the more expensive designs and then figuring out how to get the look and feel while spending less. For me, these photos are inspirational. If all we had to look at were “average” homes, I’m afraid we’d all just end up with…well…average homes, lol.
Use the examples as an inspiration. For whatever you live with. Go for it! It’s only paint. 😊
Color is color. You can evoke the same feeling, no matter the home!
My front room is small, and dark colors just make it look like a cave. I need something light and bright!!! My home is nothing like those you are showing.
Go find a video to suit then….no one is forcing you to watch.
The MINDFUL MODERN category is my absolute favorite!!!
Lots of WARM, RELAXING & COZY colors!!!
Thank you for sharing!!!😊😃😁🤍
I love that one too!!! Such welcoming and comforting colors! Thanks for watching 🤎
I love it too 😄
I have to say first off I LOVE your sofa and the colour. I am not into the dark or dramatic paint colours, I want my home to feel light, open and airy. But I do love the dramatic colours for my front door.
I think I finally found the right color for my kitchen cabinet uppers thanks to you. Thank you.
Mindful Modern is my favorite but all of the other categories have beautiful colors in them as well. Thank you for sharing!
I love that one as well! Thanks so much for watching!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS VIDEO CAN U DO MORE LIKE THIS ..❤❤
Thank you! We’ll for sure do another paint colors video later in the year! Thanks so much for watching❤️
Great ideas for painting a different color of any room or a wall. Love the light green.
I like the blue hues best, mostly for the bedroom. The main color we plan to use for the living areas is BM Mascarpone.
Blue Hues is great!! Oooo I love that color ❤
Paint is accessible & attainable for all.Paint has the power to really transform you're space.
I couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching!
Mindful Modern is my favorite 2024 paint trend. I had already chosen Greek Villa as the main paint color throughout the house and after watching this video, I have decided to go with Felted Wool in my bedroom and natural linen in the en suite bathroom.
Wow!!! Ashley you are so generous to share all this information on paint colors. This is pure gold THANK YOU!!!❤❤❤
Yay!! I'm so glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Whoohoo! I was looking forward to thoughts, I'm so glad you're touching on paint color this week.
I LOVE all the beautiful colors from this year’s video! Paint is such a wonderful way to make an instant impact on your home. Thanks so much for watching ❤️❤️
Painted my main floor canvas tan and I couldn't be happier.
Wow, So many beautiful colours
Thank you Pat! I love this year’s Paint Trends❤️❤️
I painted my kitchen sand trap and love it with my dark cabinets 🙏
I'm incorporating dark and dashing to my home! I'm loving the trend!
Welcoming Warmth Radiant Reds and Mindful Modern are my favourites! I'm from Australia so we don't have Benjamin Moore or other paint colours from North America but out equivalents are Porter's Paints, Dulux and British Paints.
I love all those as well!! And gosh I sure do with there was an amazing global paint brand we could all use, lol, it would make thinks so much easier! Thanks for watching!! ❤️
Love the Dark and Dashing!
Best paint color video I’ve seen, and I’ve seen a lot. Well done!
Too sweet!! Thank you so much! 😀
Love your video! Thank you for sharing! ❤
I would love to get tips on how to approach paint for the whole house using your color guides in a future video
I love this idea! I'll take note of this ❤
I just stripped my house of all blues after decorating with blues for 20 yrs. 😅
Ha! Well, it's your house and it needs to make YOU happy! I feel like we go through seasons in our decorating preferences, I know I have. Sometimes change is good, it gives our home new energy and gives us a new outlook. Thanks for watching!
Wow --- What a wonderful and well-though out array of colors and tips for making a good selection. Thanks to good algorithms, I came across your channel at the perfect time!! You have removed the tedious process of going through endless paint chips and brochures. 💖
I’m so glad you found it helpful!! Thanks for watching ❤️
Idk how I just now found your page, but I'm soooo thankful!! Mindful Modern spoke to my soul! I'm ready to paint every room in my place ❤
I’m so happy you found us!!! I love Mindful Modern too! So serene and calming 🤍🤍
Another fabulous video. I cannot say enough about the BLUE tones. I quickly jotted down the name of the Benjamin Moore Blue Nova paint color. 😊
Thanks you so much for watching!! I love Blue Nova, it's gorgeous!
Hi. I’m planning on bringing Cracked Pepper into my home this year. Thanks for sharing those.
Love that! It is such a great color ❤
Blue Hues is my favorite and I love all three of those colors. My husband and I are about to repaint and refloor our house and I have looked and these three colors a kazillion times. Blue Nova is just gorgeous!
I love that topaz color!
I’m doing the dark green paired with coppers and golds, it’s beautiful
Sounds Gorgeous!!
Mindful modern is my favorite; Welcoming Warmth a close 2nd.
Both are so beautiful!! Thanks for watching!❤️
I painted my home with several of these colors❤ thanks for all the suggestions!
I love hearing that!! Thanks for watching! 🤎🤎
Like the mindful modern set of colors 😊
I painted my kitchen cabinets Nantucket blue and all the interior doors the same color. I also recently painted all my walls white.
Great video!
Thans you for your paint guide !
Thanks for the watch + downloading ❤
Absolutely love your designs and have so enjoyed your channel. Would you mind me asking the paint colors for the exterior of your home? I’m on the hunt for a warm white color to paint my brick and a blue gray for the shutters. The exterior of your home is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
Oh how I wish I could!!! It's a custom color that I had our painters create for me after trying about 40 other off the shelf colors... it was a PROCESS, lol! I've had hundreds of people ask me the color over the years, and I wish I could give you a name, but it was just a mix and match situation! We matched our shutter stain to our windows which are Windsor I believe!
Absolutely adore your curated palate !
Yay!!! Thank you! 🥰❤️
Mindful Modern is my favorite ❤. Thank you
Mine too ! Thank you for watching ❤
Dark and Dashing and Mindful Modern speak to me. Favorites in the groupings are Rainy Afternoon, Dragon’s Breath, Canvas Tan, and Antler Velvet.
All such great colors!
If you were advising a client on a paint color to choose for the whole house, because it will be sold in a few years, what color would you choose?❤ Thanks in advance!
I just gutted and remodeled a white/blue accent bath and am trying to pick a flow color into the master BDR. This has bee VERY difficult but your 2024 color review is helpful!
I just painted my entire basement (first floor) Antler Velvet. Love it!
Oh my word, that sounds STUNNING! How cozy!
Balboa mist looks nice.
👍absolutely love all these colors. It’s certainly my palette of colors.
Very enjoyable video. On the Mindful Modern page that you showed, one color is labeled SW Fireweed, but it's mossy gray looking. Fireweed on the Radiant Reds page is a deep redwood color (not green/gray). If the Mindful Modern Dark and Dashing color has a different name, could you let me know what it is called. It looks almost like BM Pasmina but Pashmina is warmer. I would like to use the color but I suspect it was mislabeled. Much thanks!
Love your choices! I Like Modern Mindful❤ thanks for your upload.
Thank you! That one is a favorite of mine too - Thank you for watching ❤
After flipping 3 houses with my husband I know how painstaking it is to paint trim. I will NEVER paint my trim dark to match dark walls! Only a matter of a year before it changes again
Dark and Dashing…going to use the Peppercorn color on the wall behind my, too big, TV…think it will help deminish the size of the TV. Thanks for the great info.
I love Peppercorn, it's such a great color!
Dark & Dashing! ❤ ❤
Ohhhhhh, I love that one!!!
The mindful modern is my favorite
What is the color on your wall behind you… the white.?
The blues and mindful
Love it!
I would like ideas for green blue teal in the living room
My couch will be blue and open plan kitchen will be burnt orange and red stools
Your hair is GLORIOUS. ☺️
Too sweet, thank you!!!!
I like the blues
I love neutrals. Would you please give a paint color / soft neutral that goes with everything? I don’t want the wall color stuck me to pick the furniture color. Remodeling the house and haven’t decided for furnitures yet . Thank you
I’m wondering if your welcoming and warmth color palette would be a good choice for anyone who is sometimes depressed occasionally for up to two months (try winter)? The palette overall may be too colorful for me. The palettes are all so wonderful, I’m not sure yet which is my favorite. Missing a green palette as I’m drawn to green and blue. I’ve recently painted using warm neutral colors from Benjamin Moore. Still have my main open living area left to paint.
Great!!
❤❤❤
Love your articulate vocabulary , to describe these colours , vey enticing ❤️🤛🏻🇬🇧 p.s my colour living room is very similar to felted wool with ivory tones.
Thank you so much that is so sweet!
Thank you for the paint guide! I would like to know what color is on the wall behind you.
Ashley, your videos are always on time for me! I just finished my mood board for my kitchen remodel which will be a slow process since so much work is required. But I’ve been looking for a cabinet color that’s close to the photo I included in my board. Is it railings by f&b? It’s more like cracked pepper cabinets with limitless glidden on the walls. Also, the photos in your videos always make my audibly gasp. That photo at :46 😱
Thank you so much!! I love Railings and Cracked Pepper! Railings has more of a blue undertone, so I’m thinking the soft black of Cracked Pepper would look fab with Limitless 🖤 good luck with the kitchen remodel, I’m sure it will be a fun and rewarding journey!
I just did my lower kitchen cabinets Behr’s Carbon in high gloss! Cracked Pepper was on my radar in 2022. That is when I bought a can in matte. Still deciding what to paint it with. It’s always cold here. My paintings window is small. Like, just a few weeks out of the year, small.
Mindful modern all the way
I love that one so much!!!!
I would love to know what the paint and trim color you used in the room in which you are sitting. Beautiful. You don’t have to be rich to have good color.
Blue! Finally.
It's going to have such a big next few years!
@@ashleychilders I’m very happy about that. I hope we start seeing navy in clothes too.
Muted greens without a yellow undertones, soft muted blues that are warm.
Love those!! Thanks for watching!
I want to refresh my living room wich is smallish and North faced, I would love something colorful but not strident. I just bought a new carpet in mustard color and I'll pair it with an olive green sofa. What color should I choose for walls please? Thank you!
Kelley Moore 'Apollo Landing' is a remarkably workable light blue,
I like the Welcoming Warmth and Blue Hues the best and plan to incorporate Stardew (study and master with picture-frame molding) and Cafe Mocha (guest) and Felted Wool (powder room lower board and batten with sage and blue gray floral wall paper above it) in a Modern Cottage vibe in our new build we will be designing soon. I have to decide whether to just have the builder do that no-cost flat white paint and then have painters come in before we more in or pick a level 2 or 3 color whole house color that might be O.K. with some of those paint colors for accent rooms such as the study, powder room and guest room that we could do later. Any thoughts as to a whole-house color for Modern Cottage design?
I love Revere Pewter. I’ve used it a lot and see no reason to change. Am I stuck in a rut? Just moved to a new all white wall Living Dining and Kitchen open plan (east/west exposure lots of windows) and thinking of using Revere Pewter again. 🤷♀️
I would love to use persimmon in my front room with accents of carnelian and some black lacquer furniture pieces (baby grand). This room has tall ceilings and is filled with light. I’m also thinking ivory sofas. (Have I lost my mind?) I don’t know if the persimmon will be too much…
Thank you for sharing all these 2024 color trends. I was leaning towards shoji white over alabaster as main open concept color, but not sure if your blue hues color palette will coordinate
Snag samples of each and look at them both in your home, in various light. They're both beautiful!
Hi Ashley! What’s the color of the walls behind you in the video? I want the exact same one…
My favorite is Mindful Modern. I love the color you have on your walls now. What color is it? 🥂
Absolutely! It's Delicate White by PPG Paints!
Blue Nova and teacup rose
Such great colors!
I am not as familiar with the brands you shared but they are lovely. I use Farrow & Ball paints. Currently painting Inchyra Blue (I have a mad fondness for this colour since painting it on my dining room wall in 2019- but since moved and in process of re-do in my current home) and the palette of blues to follow (Our library will be Oval Room blue- my daughter's bedroom DeNimes). I favour also the greens which I am also incorporating (my son's room in Card Room Green with some Studio Green elelments).
I love Farrow & Ball!! Unfortunately it's not as readily available in our area, but their colors and depth are absolutely stunning!! The colors you're planning to use in your various rooms sound gorgeous! Good luck with the project!
My dining room is almost black and I adore it, especially with Schumacher Roman shades. Dramatic!
It sounds like a DREAM!!!! I love a dramatic dining room situation!
Hi Ashley - another amazing video, very helpful and informative and visually gorgeous - I really enjoy your content. Can I ask a question on another topic - and maybe this could be a video topic idea for you too? I don't think I've ever seen another designer do a video on this, especially any recent ones. I have 3 teen daughters, 2 dogs and a cat - and a husband lol. We are going to be needing to buy another couch soon because the ones we purchased for our living room look really worn out already - even though we only bought them only 3 years ago next month. We didn't purchase a very high end brand - we went with one at rooms to go that was really nice though - but I feel like it should've lasted longer than this even with a busy family. 2 of my girls are always on the go and rarely use the couches - Do you have recommendations on how to find a high quality, durable couch, with high quality fabric, strong stuffing that will hold its shape and look for more than 3 years? Do I need to go with something commercial grade? Special fabricS I should be looking for? I'm willing to spend (a bit) more to get something that will be an investment for long term, but I definitely don't have an unlimited budget. at this point that the couches embarrass me. I keep them vacuumed and have spot treated, but even the pillows look sad and misshapen and don't stay in place well. I did get the kind of couch that has 3 separate pillows as seats and 3 separate pillows as backs - and 2/2 for the loveseat ...... was that my first mistake? Please help!
Oh this is SUCH a good question and honestly something that so many homeowners struggle with! First, I would recommend that you get a sinuous spring construction and hardwood frame. It's not as expensive as an 8-way hand tied construction, but will hold up for years. Secondly, and SOOOO important is the cushion construction. You want to make sure that you go with cushions that have either innersprings coils, wrapped in foam and a top feather layer (if you like soft,) or high density foam core wrapped in a quilted foam/feather layer. And the back cushions need to follow suit as well with a wrapped high density foam core. As for the cushion layout. I usually opt for a bench cushion or a two over two layout (two seat cushions and two top cushions). Three over three tend to get a bit disheveled.
Lastly... Pick a sofa that comes in a Crypton fabric, it's a game changer!! It's basically indestructible and there are tons of beautiful options!
Okay, one final tip. I highly recommend opting for a flat or saddle stitch on the cushions instead of a welt. Welts on seat cushions have a tendency to migrate and start to sag over time with a lot of use, and it's super noticeable with a welt, so opting for a stitched seam will mitigate the problem! Good Luck!!
@@ashleychilders I cannot tell you how much my husband and I appreciate your generous, thoughtful and educational response. This was incredibly helpful and I offer a heartfelt thank you for going above and beyond in your response. We will take your advice on our next purchase so we aren't wasting money. I'm officially a fan for life 🙂
@@giaw7867 so happy to help!!! Truly! ❤️
Calmness would be my favorite
Can the whole house be painted in one colour?
Are the pop up walks still in fir 2024
Ahead of the times, as usual. In 2022, I was onto Cracked Pepper and Pearl Noir. In fact, I wanted to do the exterior in Pearl Noir. But the landlord said it was too purple! 😂
We went with Downing Slate with Bolero doors.
Cracked Pepper is still in the can. I’m waiting for the weather to warm up enough for painting. I’m still looking for a good spot for it.
I love this!
Where are the mercury glass lamps from?
I have navy furniture...struggling to find a color to put with it.
I want the job naming paint colours .
I’m done with Pantone colours , 😂 they seem to fail picking their colours of the year .
I love all of them. That’s a big problem for me. 😂
I done my lounge navy blue 8 yrs ago with industrial look , and now it’s back . 😂
Blue hues
❤❤❤
Any chance you’ll do an exterior paintshow
Where did you purchase the tree art behind you? It's beautiful!
It's a wall mural I purchased off Etsy that we applied to wooden panels. Here's the link!

Thank You!
Hello Ashley~ what are some of the colors you have in your home? What is your living room color?
Our Great room walls are PPG Delicate White, our Dining Room is BM Revere Pewter, Kitchen cabinetry is BM Gray Owl and our Primary Bedroom is a lime wash in the color Fairview by Portola Paints. Hope this helps!
@@ashleychilders Thank you so much for the info! I think finding the right “white” is a little frustrating, I love how your great room looks but I think it’s more than just the paint color!😊
I'm ready to repaint my living room, currently a soft yellow. This room connects to the dining room, which is SW Light French Gray. I would like a color with some richness and depth. Room. Is well lite but I am clueless to which color direction to pursue. Suggestions?
❤
Thank you for watching!
Could you tell me what white color your walls and trim are?
My wall are PPG Delicate white and trim is BM Super White. Thanks for watching!!
Love the sofa!! Where is it from?
I designed it! It's the Diana Sofa from my collection in a beautiful brown Mohair.
@@ashleychilders thank you!!
Could you share where your necklace is from please?
Yes, I designed it!! It's part of my jewelry collection. You can shop it at ashleychilders.com
Don’t see a link for the download? Please help!
It is in the video description!
Struggling to find a color palette that goes with Retreat by SW 😭
Alabaster from SW
I love that one!
I hate darkness
If I painted my interior these colors, my home would resemble a cave. This video is a joke.
Every home looks so drab
