Great vid Al. I hear you brother, I hear you - HATE these cold dark nights, really struggling to keep up my great momentum from the summer. But I am determined to try. Keep up the good work sir x
Great vid! Wish id heard of the drop earlier! Just looked it up, it looks like it will make for some great content!! 😂 looking forward to next weeks video already!!
Thank you! Ahh, there are plenty in Tyneside and beyond. Jesmond is lovely and relatively central (I did a video on it) then you have the wider Gateshead, Durham, Tyne Valley, Coastal and Northumberland options too!
@AlPepperRuns we watched the Jesmond one a couple of weeks age, that's where she's living next year so maybe we'll start there. Although I'm running the GNR this year for the first time since 2019 so really looking forward to that one too - your coverage of that was great 😀
@@kimmcbirnie5747 ah brilliant! I’m not running GNR this year but will get down to spectate if I can! The whole weekend is fun with a separate 5k on the Friday that a lot of people sign up for too!

Thanks DeeJay. Yeah, I went from about a 150k month to a 15k month! Ouch. Keep it up though… then you’ll reap the rewards in spring / summer!
@@AlPepperRuns Cheers man, likewise, don't drop the mileage too much, keep strong. Look forward to seeing you at a Parkrun in the near future sir 🙂
Brilliant video Al it's helped my home sickness.i was brought up in Seaton delaval.so love that beach.thankyou.
That’s awesome, it’s my pleasure Paul! Lovely part of the world and lovely people based on the guys I met at the weekend!
Great finish Al.
Thanks Paul! I try to keep a bit in the tank for the finish!

Thanks Cameron! Yeah, it’s got the potential to be quite the adventure hasn’t it! We’ll soon see!
Tinsel is required but I do glass icicles to be pet safe and PC. Looks like a fun run!
Ahhh fair point, sounds like a sensible approach! It was a lot of fun for sure! Thanks!
Hope you enjoyed your run,I was a marshall at the ,1st groyns...💚
@@TheToongeordies I sure did! Thanks for marshaling, you guys were great!
Agree about the cold and dark. Much less enjoyable. Roll on lighter evenings...
Yep, it’s tough going at the minute. Respect to those who are putting the miles in though! When does it get nice again, March / April?!
What did you do it in? Trainers! Good one.
I had my trail shoes on but road shoes would have been fine. I got soaked though so pleased I went with the more rugged option!
That looked awesome that, never heard of that run before. Deffo on my list for next year! Oh and we are no tinsel in our house 😂
It was great fun! And you’re a great guy Jono but… I’m not sure we can get over this tinsel situation!
@@AlPepperRuns 🤣🤣🤣
I wonder if there's a cutoff time
I’m not sure to be honest. If so I think it would be pretty generous as there were runners of all abilities on the day and everyone was brilliant!
You’ll need to do Pier to Pier next year at Sunderland if you’ve not done it. Start and finish on the beach 🙈
I haven’t! Missed it this year so need to get it in the diary, thanks for the heads up. A mini series of beach videos is on the cards!
Great film! Our daughter is at Newcastle University and we've been looking for parkruns / races in the area that we can combine with a visit.

Oh you had a haircut
I have indeed! Guaranteed PB times now that I’m extra streamlined!
