Me and my wife were at the Palms buffet and couldn't believe when we saw Ruby filming! This was our favorite buffet this trip. We also did the Wynn brunch and surprisingly, the Palms was better. We enjoyed our stay at the Palms. Thanks Ruby! We wouldn't have found this off strip resort without you. 😀

Pancit is a Filipino dish, usually eaten on special occasions. Shrimp, chicken, noodles, carrots, a great sauce. Really yummy.

I make variations of pancit, usually with bihon noodles. My family doesn't wait for special occasions, we have it frequently. At family reunions (my filipino side of the family), we usually have about 4 variations to choose from!
The brisket looks so good. You can get your money's worth with just the brisket. It is usually so expensive at bbq joints.

Thanks for the review😊😊😊 and the Palms is owned by a Native American tribe based in California and the food at Indian casinos in that state is always way better than corporate Las Vegas I can tell they spent a lot of money on building this buffet with the decor and the comfort issues and the food is of high quality.😋😋😋

Great review, thanks! That pink ring just inside the outer crust of the smoked brisket is called the "smoke ring". Shows it's been smoked correctly. My credentials for that: I'm a native Texan and smoked brisket is how Texans do barbecue :)
My buffet plan is to take a small sample of what I like and looks good. I get more of what was good. No wasted food and I do like buffets but try to eat the least of any one that day (almost)
We came to this brunch buffet today (3.25) because of your recommendation. It definitely does not disappoint. I lucked out and two people in front of me skipped the burnt end of the brisket...so I snagged that immediately! Thanks Ruby, and Mr Ruby! ❤

It's not easy to describe all of the different foods you try without saying the same things over and over! You seem to know exactly what a person would want to know about it. You do a wonderful job! This $33. Buffet sounds totally worth it.

We ate at AYCE on a Friday for breakfast in December. So delicious and a great price! Loved the sirloin, bao buns, shrimp, truffle potatoes, gelato.

The Pancit is Filipino noodles. Very good if you squeeze lemon juice on it. Also the "sesame balls" are called Jian Dui.

Ooh they definitely have some folks from Hawaii in the kitchen, I bet! Pancit is a classic Filipino dish. And it looks like they had actual Hawaiian-style linguica (Portuguese sausage) there. And that sushi rice looks legit. This buffet looks like a real winner at an amazing price. As always, I love your food reviews. I have been going through the ones I missed while I prepare dinner. 😹

Instead of a typical eggs Benedict, they now have a "deconstructed" version. Poached egg, small cubes of ham, larger, soft cubes of toasted bread and sauce, well flavored "in their own little thing" ™️ Ruby. 🙂 Excellent brunch buffet!
The “sesame ball” is called Jin doi. It if mocha rice encrusted with sesame seeds, and can be filled with things like red bean paste or coconut. Fried and actually really delicious.

What an entertaining enthusiastic presentation. That $33 price for the quality would have been reasonable for mid-ninties Chicago - almost unbelievable today. The Four Seasons charged you $75 25-30 years ago and I don't remember it being this good.

25 to 30 years ago Vegas had $10 to $15 all you can eat with prime rib 😂
Husband and I went during the weekday $25 brunch and both agreed that it was better than the $200 dinner we had at Hells Kitchen. We dream of going back just for this buffet! lol
That’s Dungeness crab. Which is more expensive usually than snow crab. And much better than snow crab. I’ll have to go there next time I’m in Vegas!

I haven't been in awhile but I always enjoyed the Palms. I know it's not the hotspot it was back in the day when it first opened in the early and mid 2000's but I've always thought it was a great place with a lot of quality restaurants and night life options and amenities.
I'm a fan of quality but reasonably priced daytime buffets. So this buffet would probably be right up my alley. I am not the $75 dinner buffet guy. I'd rather not stuff myself at night and get tired and sleepy before going for a night out.
We went in March and nobody was disappointed. The server also kept the mimosas flowing!

During the grand opening of the Palms many years ago, it had an authentic Hawaiian buffet. It was the best buffet I ever ate at in Las Vegas. It even had hula dancers and poi.

It's been a few years since we were there and there's a Dennys upstairs next to Walgreens close to Harrahs. Maybe it's basic and can get it anywhere. But they're still competing with everyone else for your business and the food and coffee and service was great for just a little bit of money.

That's an excellent price. I love to hit Caesars Bacchanal buffet but it's super duper spendy and $33 bucks is so cheap!
Breakfast Ala Carter, by the pool at Wynn is about $50 bucks, if you just grt the basic stuff so this is a real deal and who needs to be stuffy, all the time.

I need instructions on eating at buffets. I’m full in about 15 minutes and then am tired for the rest of the day.
Start early and start with the mains and expensive items first so not filling up with breads and noodle dishes
Fast for the day of, never start with a carbonated beverage and no breads! IMHO
Make the buffet your first nights meal… usually I don't eat when I am traveling so I am starving by the time I get to dinner.
Go for the good stuff, seafood, meats and things you normally would not eat at dinner. Skip the Pizza and bread..
Cook at home or just avoid buffets. They're pointless and absurdly expensive now.
I like to drink water instead of other beverages while at buffets
This buffet looks absolutely amazing and that price?! 100% worth it!! Unfortunately I am allergic to crab but can get my fill of shrimp and carving meats and drool over the crab(just because I’m allergic doesn’t mean I can’t love it!) looks like there is plenty of other options anyway!! I may just be clueless but how exactly does one get a non-vegetarian buttermilk pancake ? Non-vegan yes but I’m pretty sure they’re all at least vegetarian unless someone sneaks bacon into the batter!! 🤔🤷🏻♀️

Hey Ruby! I literally watch all your videos and absolutely love them! After watching all your buffet videos, I still don't know what to choose! If my priorities are the carving meats, breakfast options (like pacakes, biscuits, bacon) and dessert, what would be your recommendation?
Pancit! It’s from the Philippines. You said it correct the first time. And it’s made with Calamansi/kalamansi a really delicious citrus that I love.
Pancit is a Filipino rice noodle dish. There are dozens from different styles, almost every island or village doesnit differently, some are vegitarian while others are big on roast ham, and still others are loaded with sea food. It all depends on what is available in region.

Croquettes are very good and with gravy, i always double up on bacon, I'll make crab sliders, try spicy kielbasa sausages you might prefer, cottage potatoes with gravy, eggplant parmesan if your at a place that has it is sure good, also same with deep fried oysters, and fried abalone
Bread pudding with berry syrup & cut up fruit
Applesauce or cut up fruit with milk added
Belgian waffles 😋
We had their breakfast buffet. It was delicious!
