Thank you for this tutorial!!! This will be my first top and dress i will be doing!! I’m so excited to try it, much love for you. Keep up the amazing work it will lead to much more wonderful designs💗💗
So, I really liked the look of this dress and am trying to make it, but I couldn't get the top portion to work for me, so I did modify it a bit, using a double crochet foundation stitch for just under the bust, then after you connect it, chaining about 22 stiches, and then SC in the back loop to create a ribbed bust. Should have the same look at the end though.
Did you measure the bust part of the dress (idk what to call it 😭) with or without a bra? Idk how to take correct measurements for clothes since I just started, I hope this question isent to personal !
@melissamah7901 it wasn't so much measurements that was messing me up, it was the way it was formed, I couldn't wrap my head around how to do it properly. That part was on me. But it turned out beautifully, and everyone who has seen me wear it has loved it. I feel like a cupcake while wearing it, for some reason hahaha it's a very pretty top though!
I actually love this idea. As someone who is really busty but doesn't have a large rib cage, I like the idea of working to fit my underbust. Then I'll work either some short rows at the top or extra rows in that base to make it full enough for my bust. This will help the dress hang in a more flattering way and will minimize some of the stretch on the bodice. I will also make wide straps because those tiny straps won't give enough support, I fear.
Love this tutorial! I’m going to make this one for my 12 year old daughter! She loved it when I showed it to her. Question.. Where can I get that brand of yarn you used in this video?
I was looking for some baggy frock type pattern which doesn't fit tightly to my body and i found your tutorial of this project which is perfectly what i was looking for. I'm definitely making it. It is well crafted and quite easy to understand. Thank you for your efforts and sharing the amazing pattern with us..! Can you share a tip on how can we achieve straight edges on the sides (the rectangular first part of the frock where you gave it ribbed effect before joining it)? One tip i learnt from the video was to make a single chain at the end of the row, turn over the work and start working on a new row right from the first stitch of it. Also, i loved the dress version too (picture that you inserted in the start of the video), probably I'll be opting to make the dress version. For dress version, i shall continue adding the rows of V stitch( in the exact same way as the 2nd,3rd and 4th rows of the V stitch in lower part of the top) until desired length?
Hi! So happy you found my tutorial useful!🥰 a tip to ensure straight edges is to keep your tension very loose! And mark every first and last stitch of each row to make sure you’re not adding or skipping stitches 😊 Yep! For the dress, just keep making rows of v stitch like in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th rows of the bottom part! Hope this helps🫶
