Simon, I nearly dropped a clanger on my 90 diesel. The plastic Adblue tank lives just above the inner righthand bolt hole, it is very easy to peck a hole in it if the drill bites.
Hi Bill I would love to add an additional warning to the video but it is not possible to add comments after upload - I will pin your comment to the top !
Best part of your videos - “we have no idea what we’re doing” - just like everyone else that would be installing stuff. The white paint on the logo is brilliant!
I might as well admit i am clueless... as it become pretty clear most of the time. Some people would rather watch a professional do this stuff but they often skip the stuff that someone doing it for the first time notice !... i am sure there are more proffessional channels out there.... but we try and have some fun at the same time !
Helpful video. Note for anyone removing the rear bumper: the holes for the top 2 mud flap bolts pass through the plastic bracket (the one that you had to clamp to stop it deflecting). The bracket remains in place when the bumper is removed so you’ll have to release these bolts before removing the bumper. Leave the bottom bolts in place as the mud flap comes off with the bumper. 👍
Great video, LR should have made the longer mudflaps out of rubber then they wouldn't get stuck in the sand and snap off. If you are towing a caravan the longer flaps are the better option as they will help to stop stones been catapulted through the caravan window from the tyres..
@@L663 Yes, had some on my Sprinter van but don’t see many, if any for Defenders. Loving my Defender but as a base model it did not come with the adjustable shocks to raise and lower. It is at a great but quite high height- always. I’m 6’2” tall and it’s not easy getting out, in is fine. Don’t like the look of the steps that are always deployed. Anyway, would be great if you know anything about these deployable type and could use your skills on an install video. Thanks
Looks as though these two styles of mudflaps are identical and would possibly both work with the larger wheel arches...any interest in installing the larger arches on your rig?
They are clip and stick. They use the same clips as the standard wheel arches but the leading edge has sticky foam. In fact, they’re just like the door trim than runs the length of the car at the bottom. That’s stuck on as well!
Be careful with the side where the fuel cap is, the last hole I drilled to fit the mudguard today on my brand new defender I went through the ad blue tank!! Whoops. Back in landrover now with only 43miles on the clock for a new tank Dreading the bill !!!!

Every time I fuel up at the gas station, my rover struggles to start and once I give it some gas, it starts and runs fine, but I also keep getting replace fuel filler cap in my dash, please help!!
@@L663 Have you come across a mudflap for the Discovery 5 with this "classic" big flap style? Actual flappy rubber would be nice too. Everything I've found is the small scoop style...looks too small
To my shear amazement it has lasted perfectly even after several presure washes ! I will put these on the website - you can then see which pen it was and buy one or source the item yourself

Really, one of the best set of instructional videos I've seen. Thanks from Australia!
This video was super helpful! Got them both installed within an hour without any issues or problems! Thank you for the amazing content!

Great tip!
The black of the mudflap appears to be different as compared to the existing black trim...
slightly - its a different type of plastic.
Can you post part number for the replacement yellow and white trim clips please, great video as usual, Thanks

Great point! when we had the caravan it would get covered in mud especially as you leave the campsite !
Could you do a video on the retractable entry step? Seen them but don’t know how difficult fit on my 2023 Defender….
Yes are these the deployable side steps ?

Are the mud flaps currently in stock? I heard they are globally on backorder.
yes this seems to be true
I nearly cried when I saw you have to put holes in your bumper. I got my defender x today and the dealer installed it before consulting with me.
Another classic video. Do you sell a recovery point suitable for the front of discovery 4 as read front centre mount not suitable for snatch recovery.

Yes. They look like they’re peeling off in places.
Hello. Will you be adding a tow kit? Mine does not have one and I'm considering ordering it and installing myself.
Simon, are you going to add side steps to your Defender?
Wonder why they doont come with factory fitted mud flaps... awesome videos, love from Qatar❤👍
Because they charge you £130 a set! Rip off, but all car manufacturers charge silly money for things that should be standard.
Because it's not a real offroader. Just another new discovery to drive around town.

I doubt it very much as they are shaped to fit the rear of the Defender.
