Mine is 6.8 but depends on the yarn if I'm using a acrylic i need more chains but I'm using 100% cotton so i need 16 SC at the start or 17 for the actual case on my phone.

What size of phone is this? If my phone is big 6.8 inches, do i need to make longer chain?

No, slip stitch does not count as a stitch ☺️
