Thank you for all the kind comments. It was quite the 24hrs filming this (Glenn and I managed both sunset and sunrise!). The Ferruccio Lamborghini Museum is well worth a visit if you’re near Bologna - all sorts of fascinating stuff in there.
I really appreciate that Henry spends most of the videos driving cars instead of talking about the cars while standing next to it. I love Henry’s videos!
@@allensaunders449 Me too, but I think Carfection was simply too expensive to keep producing for. Hagerty is the next best thing though, fortunately. Hell, it honestly feels like a spiritual successor to Carfection.
Henry is one of the very best motoring presenters we have had and I have been watching for 60+ years. He brings the car and the experience to life, he explains to the unconvinced and excites those who dream of ever buying one..or even sitting in one. Henry paints word and sound pictures effortlessly and that takes a lot of skill…video making is complex and tiring, editing it needs inspiration and talent but presenting it takes someone special. Henry…you get the job on that one! 😃😃😃😃
This is a video that i might open ten years later and still be fully immersed in......Thankyou Henry, Glenn and the whole team for putting this video together. Also its a nice car .
Unironically needing a "show off" button for revving the engine when people ask for it would be peak Lamborghini even if it being necessary might not be.
That's the best review of the Revuelto I've seen so far. After watching hours of various channels drag racing their Revuelto's every which way but loose, I now finally feel like I understand what it's like to actually drive the damned thing. Thanks Henry! Also - very impressive to see you catching a slide in a V12 Lambo whilst narrating without breaking stride, kudos!
This is brilliant. I can't imagine anyone other than Henry explaining what a hybrid future for Lamborghini means. Thanks to Henry and Hagerty!. Now find a Temerario and finish the story.
Another great video with not just a journalist, I think Henry and the team are like automotive poets, transmitting how a car feels, flows and lives, while talking about the philosophy of Ma and actually how it makes so much sense. Please keep going and never stop your videos, which will keep the passion and thrill of driving alive
Yellow lambo in Italian mountain roads with smooth music for the opening scene. Sure ive seen this before 👀🇮🇹. You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off.
What a brilliant idea to have the "vroom vroom" button for these DCT cars with no foot clutches! I love the contrast I find on Hagerty, from the relaxed and mellow Henry Catchpole to the slightly manic Jason Camissa to the downright folksy Tom Cotter!
Oh Henry & team!!! Here I was looking through my calendar of “to do’s” and I really wasn’t looking forward to the day even though it is sunny here in beautiful Vancouver. I then came across your video.; birds chirping, Lambo wailing through the Italian countryside with beautiful orchestral music in the background… A huge smile flashed across my face. My spirit has been lifted. Thank you Thank you Thank you 🙏
Henry another amazing video, this Lamborghini really suits you😉🤟. Lamborghini is doing just an amazing job lately, with their complete products range and production itself. Keep up with great work bringing us amazing videos like this 🤟🤟❤❤
Whoever specced the car did a brilliant Job having the little strip in the lights in body colour. It extends the nose and the car looks much more Lamborghini now
Shoutout to the BRILLIANT sound editing for choosing music that actually *matched pitch perfectly* with the Lambo's engine note precisely at the 0:30 mark
thank you for mentioning the positives on the company and their relationship with the planet as well as the beautiful display of the intricacy of the revuelto
Beautiful piece of motoring cinema and an all-around excellent review. I'm more inspired than ever to get out and drive my own hybrid, a 2011 Prius, off a bridge.
Yellow is the best colour for a Lamborghini and the 2nd best colour for supercars in general (red being the best one). Every time I think of a Lamborghini I think of the yellow Murcielago from the cover of Need for Speed 6 Hot Pursuit 2 from 2002.
Dual-fuel tractors were pretty common in postwar Europe well into the 1950s. I grew up in Ireland and well remember having it explained to me how the big dark blue Fordson E27N, owned by a neighbour; was started on petrol, but switched to TVO after a few minutes spent warming up.
Hagerty should do a comparison between the Revuelto and the Sian. As they both have a "hybrid" power design, my question is, how do they compare in driver engagement overall? Off the bat, I know the Revuelto will be much more refined, but we need to know how they compare as the Lamborghini driver experience.
I completely agree with your give it some revs to entertain button! First review I've seen where I'm really starting to warm to the new Revuelto. I'm starting to like it.
I can't wait for a RWD version of this. Should be pretty easy since they only need to remove a couple motors and shrink the battery. Keep the e-motor in the back.
I'm a bit disappointed to no longer hear the glorious V12 sound the Aventador has. Maybe an aftermarket exhaust will bring it back. Thanks for the video!
I've only ever driven a half a dozen cars and I must say I have noticed how the hybrid system really helps out when the car needs extra power. With NA cars there is a considerable lag when the automatic gearbox downshifts to deliver power but hybrids take care of that.
Ah, Henry, you forgot several more nods to another company. For instance, the cup holders on the passenger side. Taken from Porsche's garbage skip after they binned the brilliant system on the 997 and 991 for the horrific cubby in 992. The materials are also nod to Porsche. Corsa-tex aka. Race-tex, as well as Grigio Silver stitching. aka. Silver Grey, much like ones you can get from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. You can also get your Revuelto in a colour called Verde Viper. Or Viper Green in Porschespeak, one of the PTS colour which was introduced alongside Signal Orange and Royal Purple on the 1973 911s, famously the Carrera RS 2.7.
This review of a #common product, restores my faith in humanity! Well done Sir! Wrote this on an unknown #electric vehicle's tablet. PS. Took me 45 minutes
I’m glad they finally go rid of the single clutch and finally put in a DCT. The only single clutch I’ve ever driven was a Ferrari 360 spider. It was terrible both in traffic and normal driving. It only ever smoothed out at nearly full throttle
Both, the Lamborghini Revuelto and this film are a masterpiece. The Revuelto is a masterpiece of car design, engineering, emotion, and even now practicality and dailiability. It is the physical manifestation of everything that's worth living in life and now, with none of the drawbacks. As for this film, such greatly presented, such great writing and story telling, such great cinematography it is wonderful. And as far as I remember all Lambos allow you to rev the engine by just pulling on both paddles, that puts the car into neutral because the people at Lamborghini know that people like to rev Lambos so it's not even missing that button :),
Question about revving it: can you pull both paddles to disengage the clutch(es) and rev it that way? I know that's a simple push-button thing, but the 8th gen Corvette has that and I figured other manufacturers did as well.
I just got mine - unfortunately not. Well, you can put it in neutral with the paddles but it does not let you rev the engine. In park mode - no limiter. Sounds way better than on video...
Based on your ending epilogue about Ma (or empty space), this car then is basically Claude Debussy, who is credited as saying that "Music is the space between the notes". Well it could certainly be argued that Claude and the Revuelto have musical creation in common.
I was expecting the Matt Monro to cue in as you said "on days like these" as you drive into the sunset on a mountain road. I was a bit disappointed 😂. Great film as always though.
Who does the writing? Video is amazing as always, very cinematic but writing … “Japanese concept of Ma”, i had to google that. Then there was a novel of.. I forgot who in Aston Martin video but so many nods to past (“ridding the sill”) or art, poetry or even cooking ( licking the Chiron). There is no at least car channel that puts so much effort into their videos as Evo or Carfection or Hagerty ( which one is it). Funny that such passion is somewhat wasted on modern cars with desktops and electric motors. What if you make a video about engines being assembled or the whole cars for that matter. I would love to see GT3 being put together. Absolutely amazing channel
Another on spot masterpiece by Hagerty and Henry which catches the philosophy and purpose of the Revuelto perfectly. The only sad thing is that most of the owners are full body tattooed rappers who don’t give a thing about the philosophy but rather flexing with it and individualizing it beyond recognition…
You notice how these guys always talk up the current gen. Years from now they'll finally tell you how they really feel about the car they review today.
I will say this about Lamborghini going " Green". Obviously if your sole purpose is to buy buy a high performance vehicle, that's good for the environment you will settle for a sedan with either a plaid track pack or sapphire. But that 6 Mile range is not insignificant. Imagine living in the outskirts of a city, wanting to take your Lamborghini to dinner in the city and immediately switching to electric mode once you get off the motorway. Because in something like an event door 6 mi of City driving could very well be a gallon
Another brilliant video from Henry and the team. These cars look hideous in a city centre where people are using them to show off and fantastic on an empty twisty mountain.
