You found the hidden gem many overlook. Just a man and his guitar on stage in a bar / supperclub before he became famous. Love the way the ppl watching finally stfu and listen when his voice takes over the room. Great performance. Mark
He wrote this earlier while he was fronting the southern rock band, The Jompson Brothers. It's a mystery why they never caught on. It's ironic because many people now wish he would put out a rock album. You can find Jompson Brothers videos for a look back. BTW he was a well-known songwriter in Nashville for 10 years, with hits for many well-known artists, before he was convinced to begin recording solo. During that time he sang with the wonderful Bluegrass band, The Steeldrivers & then The Jompson Brothers.
You can listen to this from a studio with the correct equipment. Just look up The Jompson Brothers. Chris wrote this as the frontman for them before he went solo. It sounds damn good!!!
My god! That man's voice....no words. I've wanted to and tried to sing with that grit, gravelly sound and I just can't do it. Well, maybe for one word, but it would be the last word of the last set before walking off the stage. 🤣 This one is going on my playlist! Thanks Ben! And you're popping up! Woo Hoo!!🎉
Please do more Chris?? 🙏 "WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TOO" LIVE for something real pretty and meaningful where you can really hear his wife is "I HOPE YOU DANCE" LIVE FOR ST. JUDE RADIOTHONE 💖
@bShawReacts Chris is sooo good LIVE! He lets loose! If you haven’t reacted to his live performance “2021 CMA Awards “Cold”, please do! It’s 🔥! He won Grammys,CMA’s, etc. for it. Chris is a living Legend! Writes all his own songs unless he does occasional cover. Which he always slays! Thanks fren!
Ok, so you have got to check out two more amazing live performances by Chris. You dont have to worry as much about copyright from them either. First is Sometimes I Cry live from the Bing Lounge. Second is Either Way live from the Charlie Rose Show. Both are originals by Chris and both performances are amazing. The second Either Way...pay close attention to the lyrics. Many reactors have missed what he is saying in it to the opposite intent. He is saying...I Won't Love You Either Way...(not will love you). Great reaction. Thanks for sharing experiencing this music with us. Mark
See your a Metallica fan so you absolutely need to hear Chris’s Country Rock version of Nothing Else Matters. It is all him on harmonies and guitar. Metallica gave him a shout out for his version. 🎸🎵🤠 keep♥️’em coming
He is Blues and Soul! My favorite!
All from a freaking cellphone recording! Crazy!
His voice is amazing to put it mildly. I have tears running down my face that's how much emotion he conveys. Chris is the real one.
Just breathtaking

For a little context: he was on a singer/songwriter cruise in this video. He hushed a room full of people in the music industry in a heartbeat!!

He has a new song out called "White Horse" and it's a real banger.
A STUDIO WITH THE CORRECT EQUIPMENT = HELL YEAH !!!

You're the first reactor to acknowledge the realization of the crowd of the greatness they witnessed.
