  • Single split knots and double split knots are two kinds of traditional ventilation technologies for hair systems. They're both tied to the base by knotting but there are some differences. Ventilating hair with single split knots means very small knots but the hair direction is not easy to control. In contrast, double split knots are relatively big but they are very durable, so the hair will not shed easily during usage and the hair direction can be changed freely.
    Both methods are well suited to lace and mono bases. In addition, single split knots can also be used on skin bases because the knots are very small, so they will not tear the skin base during hooking. Due to the respective characteristics of these two methods, we usually use them in combination. We'll use single split knots on the front and when these knots are bleached, the front appearance will look very realistic. Double split knots, on the other hand, are used on the back and sides to increase the lifespan of the hairpiece.
    In this video, we’re going to show you how to make a hair system with single split knots and double split knots. By the end of it, you will be able to make more informed decisions when it comes to suggesting these ventilation techniques to your clients.
    Some of you may have seen our other videos. In fact, we have prepared a series of videos about ventilation techniques in both English and Spanish which we hope can help your business. Hi🤗🤗🤗😍
    So I want to do this with my hair, I have grown it for a long time and soon I want to cut it. And I want to make 4 extensions out of it so that I can have a souvenir of the texture and color of my hair as I get older and gray and help me in my future braids and other hairstyles. My question is, do I need to prepare my hair in a specific way before I ventilate it? .. And how should I keep the extension after, should I treat them periodicly?

    • @NewtimesHairOfficial
      @NewtimesHairOfficial  3 роки тому

      My dear, your idea is very unique and very good, I hope you can make it. I only know that the cut hair will fade and lose nutrients, so it must be maintained regularly, but you need to contact a professional for advice.

    Hi there, you said that you would add a link in the description for two things and I cant find either. The first - how to correct the hair lift if the wig maker has not rubbed it properly. And the second is the difference between reverse split knots and flat knots. I don't quite understand the difference in the effect they give to the hair overall. Also, can you do double reverse split knots on french/swiss lace? And finally, why not do double reverse split knots on everything if a) the knots can be bleached and b) it's the best method for styling. Why not do it to the front with your units too? I've got clients who say they find styling very difficult - either some units are too flat and wont lift and others just one style as they want them too even with gel. Any ideas? Been told this is a ventilation problem. Thanks. I'd like to switch supplier to you - how can I do this?

    • @NewtimesHairOfficial
      @NewtimesHairOfficial  5 років тому +1

      Hi, thanks for watching our video, the first question, when the wig maker has not rubbed the hair, we ususlly use a hairdryer with a comb to blow the hair from the roots(knots), that can solve the lift problem to some extent. The second, flat knots have a flat effect , split knots have a more lift effect, you can click here to learn more difference about them : www.newtimeshair.com/ventilating-hair-tutorial-single-flat-knots-and-double-flat-knots/. About french/swiss lace base, If the customer has no special requirements, we usually do single split knots on front area , and do double split knots on the rest area, cause double split knots is not easy to bleach, compare to double split knots,single split knots make the hairline more natural . But if your clients don't mind the knots are too big, and want a hair system with freely direction, we can do double split knots all over. Could you please tell us your email ? I will ask our colleague to contact you and give you more detailed answers. and also, you can contact us at info@newtimeshair.com ❤❤
