My father and uncle used to take me to this restaurant. I have not eaten there since they died. I will have to return there for a great meal and great memories.
My Father loved eating with Country Kitchen 😀 for yrs , he passed away in 2010 but by far this was his favorite spot for dinner.😊

I would take my Mom there after church some 20+ years ago...when she lived in Chatham!! The food was amazing ❤I am so glad they are thriving!! I spent 23 years on the south side Chicago before moving away and never heard of this place.
87th and Cottage Grove. Pretty hard to miss. Right next to Garretts popcorn.
I'm from Brooklyn. Harlem NY has a popular soul food spot right up stairs from the 3 train station. If you never heard about this soul food spot in Chicago. It must be on the deep part of Chicago Southside

Never heard of it. I'm a westsider so Priscilla's is my place, MacArthur's fell off years ago. I really enjoy the food at Pearl's Place though.

I'm just saying I'm unfamiliar w the place bc I'm from out west. I know of Pearl's Place bc of my Jokes & Notes days. But I'm not a big soul food restaurant person anyway bc my mama is still alive and I can cook. Why eat from a can when I cook fresh?

This place is only a couple blocks away. They are only open fri-sun however. I have never tried it despite living in the neighborhood for like 8 years!

They shonuff had me when they showed the smothered pork chops and barbeque turkey legs. Nothing like an authentic soul food joint.

Never heard of this place & I’m from Chatham… I always felt the west side had the best soul food. I used to love Alice’s & Priscillas. MacArthurs ain’t been good since the early 2000’s
