I just bought a 694 with my first adjustable comb. I think your 6 minute video just helped me with the set up greatly
Thanks Don. The first instructor to actually tell me how much of the rib I should see. Just have to transfer the new wisdom to the stands now.
Very informative video. Many thanks to Don for his time.
I'm a longtime shooter that has just gotten the shotgun itch. Shooting skeet, trap, etc. has piqued my interest but when I hear someone say $3500 - $4000 dollars and that it "only" costs $300 - $500 to add an adjustable comb onto an already expensive shotgun, I realize why more people are not involved in this hobby. Hobby? It seems to be a hobby for people with a lot of money. Time to start checking the "used" for sale firearm ads. I thought I'd be ready with a Wingmaster. Time to start checking the "used" firearm ads, lol. Helpful video and very informative.
Buy a Beretta A300 in synthetic stock: it has adjustable LOP, cast, and drop. Usually on sale for $599. There is a sporting clays model in wood for around $1k. Once you decide it is really for you, then maybe later you can upgrade to a more expensive gun. No need to drop that much cash yet. Any gun will work though, they all go boom. Good luck.

Thanks for taking the time to pass on the info, I really appreciate it. 👍🏼
Excellent explanation! Thank you.
This is exactly what I needed
thank you Mr. Currie, you´ve made´it very explicit to me, I have a gun that shoots to the left. thanks again
Now to fit my daughter's gun better. Thank you!!
Very informative, thanks!!
Great video!!
Great info. Better use that pattern board after changing things.
Don, I am unable to achieve 60/40 POA/POI. The Beretta outfitter validated my mount and eye looking down the Barrel. My Beretta's do not have an adjustable comb.Any recommendations?
Magnífico instructor, làstima que no venga traducido al español.
Chief CurrieJust the info I needed before I buy a new shotgun for birds and clays. Thank You Sir for sharing your knowledge and insight. now the search begins for a person who can fit a shotgun to me. DB >
Excellent explanation. Now could you address pitch?
I was hoping that rib height would include; if you shooting high-lower the rib, if your shooting low-raise the rib. Is that too simple?
What choke should you use?
You cannot adjust left to right POI with the adjustable comb on a double bead ribbed barrel. The back bead must be removed.
Nonsense. You're assuming the beads are aligned with the shooters eye. If they're not aligned, and one moved the comb until they are aligned, the the left to right POI can be corrected.
Now to find someone who can mod my stock.
Its all right, but Chief does'nt teach us if your gun is shooting 2ft high at 40yds what should you do? Lower the rib or raise it, and how much ! Ha Ha.
At the end, the man says "Thank you." But someone cuts him off at "Thank y." Un-necessary, sloppy & impolite.
