Something I always note in your videos is that you have such a nice ceramic pot. It looks so easy to cook everything in. I imagine if you used metal it would be hell to clean afterwards, since I've caramelized sugar in steel pots, it's always such a pain to clean
I also use a metal pot and find the best way to clean it is after if done pouring the caramelized sugar i leave the pan to soak in warm water and the sugar dissolves on its own.
I've tried this recipe and the apple crumble tart recipe and they were both amazing! It was a bit hard for me and took alot of time but it was worth it. Your cakes are wonderful and my family loved them too!
Just curious, for the tart process, why is butter and powder sugar needed to be mixed together? Can I skip the sugar and just squish up the butter similarly? Is there some chemical reaction behind the butter and sugar?
hey, i've got a couple of questions! :) can i replace the gelatin sheets with gelatin in powder? it's mucheasier to get in my country. And if so, how much of it should i use in this recipe? if i don't have a thermometer, how will i know when to stop cooking the custard?
1 tablespoon of powder gelatin is equivalent to 4 sheets of gelatin, 1 sheet is usually 3 grams, you will definitely need to buy a thermometer, if you overcook it you'll cook the eggs and it won't be as good

i believe its for taste, you wouldn't want straight butter in baking because it would just taste like butter
