Making a Drawknife

I make a drawknife from an old tablesaw blade, mostly using some basic tools. Now I can make a canoe paddle or something of that nature.

Cool use of what you have to make a new tool. Might need a little more sharpening. Lucky for me I found an old drawknife in the garage I can restore.

Super gaaf man! Werkt mooi. Slim gebruik gemaakt van je machines. Ik zou een beter vuurtje maken door de vlam in een iets te doen. Aanbeeld zou ik ook vast zetten op je werkbank. Verder super goed gedaan. Ik heb er een gemaakt van een vijl maar hij doet het niet :(

Dank je wel! En je hebt zeker gelijk hoor, ik heb plannen om eens zo een kleine gasoven te maken. Om te harden had ik een oude bbq gebruikt. Een echt aanbeeld zou ik zeker eens moeten aanschaffen. Jammer dat de jouwe niet goed werkt!

+Aman Anand you could, but to make it usable you need a steel with enough carbon in it to be able to harden te blade. So you could for example use an old file or a sawblade. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
