Another great introduction of the latest never stopping FX product. An Excellent product that I hope reasonably priced. And as usual a great piece of work Mat. Thanks
Hey Matt, as usual, you're way ahead of the industry in advancing new products. Great review. I've been waiting for Labradar to start producing again. They may have taken too long now that the True Ballistic Chronic is here, I'll have a choice to make. I'm leaning toward the True Ballistic. See you soon at RMAC
Great review of an awesome product. You really have a way to introduce extra information into the review. Setting up the scope just expands this from purely dealing with a new product. Nice comment about hunting seasons slipped in as well.
Matt, I have been using radar chronographs on trials for 20 years, and the one thing which came out of those trials was that the radar needs to be set up as close to the gun as possible if you want true velocities. Don't forget, the radar does not know where the rifle is and gives the estimated muzzle velocity relative to itself, not the gun. Hence, for a true reading the radar and gun muzzle must be as close as possible.
Hey Matt, that's a really nice chronograph. I like the fact that it works on airguns and centerfire rifles on the same settings. Would definitely be nice to own one 🤔 Thanks for sharing, BTW, your videos have helped me a lot. Thank you 🙌
Hi Matt! How are You. When are the release party? 🙂 We are really waiting for the chrono i Sweden. Its summer here now and thats perfekt time for loading ladders and sharpening skills in for hunting season.
Do you know how it will perform on the range, when there are other people shooting next to you? Maybe FX can give a distance the next shooter has to be away from you not to interfere with the readings. It's definitely a very interesting product!
Questions: 1) How does it work out at a public range (interference/tracking) to select your bullet from others. This is a good reason to have an external trigger and more exact aiming. 2) If your phone "goes to sleep" does it lose its Bluetooth connection? (This is an issue with the LabRadar).
Does the "True Ballistic" Radar Chronograph also calculate multiple BC's and not just average BC? Or does one just need to define multiple very small capture ranges? Like 40, 42, 44, 46, 48 yards and 80, 82, 84, 86, 88 yards and so on?
Where do you pick one up? I've looked everywhere for the FX Outdoors True Ballistic Radar, nothing. Thanks for giving us great content, love your channel.
The tracked velocity is not correct, you can see the difference between 50 meters (548 fps) and 75 meters (939). Maybe because of the .22 caliber or the sensitivity setting.
Hey Matt, great new little device. I guess I'm going to have to get one. And as usual, great video. If I may ask, where did you get that cool cartridge holder? Did you laser cut it out yourself or did you purchase it. If it's a laser project I'd love to have a copy of the file so I can cut some out with my laser cutter. BTW, I left you a message on Patreon. Hopefully you;'ll have a chance to read it soon. I know you've been extremely busy. Be safe and keep the videos coming.
Hi Matt. Just a thought. If a MOA guarantee rifle is 1" @100yrd, 10"@1000yrd. Does that mean an airgun should be .35" @35yrd and 1.05"@100yrd to be branded as a MOA guarantee airgun???
Hi Matt I have a hatasn factor 5.5mm and want to know if a FX slugliner barrel will work with my gun or what could I do too boost slug performance? I would love to own a FX mk3 but cant afford one.
BC(G1) 0.125 is advertised, 0.071 BC is the average over a 100 yard range. Most projectile makers only advertise the BC over the first 10 yards or so. This is when the BC is at its highest. But over distance the BC lowers and usually tends flattens out at some point so the average is just the sum of the velocities at different distances. The lowest is probably around 0.050 BC. This is why it is important for long range shooters to have multiple BC's in their program and not just an average. The average is only good out to maybe 150 yards or so with an airgun. Beyond 150 yards, multiple BC's will have to be used to gain an accurate shooting solution. I use 5 BC's in StrelokPro to reach out there starting with the advertised.
Being a newbie to setting up a scope, in all my reading and videos watched this is the first video that has said that if you have 20moa in your scope mount you should turn your elevation turent down before zeroing your scope. May seem logical to some but it escaped this slow thinking southern.
The process of zeroing a scope is the same way regardless of the mount. I boresight just looking down the barrel. You have to make sure the rifle is very steady. Put the target in the middle of the barrel then look through your scope and adjust the reticle accordingly. The most I’ve been off by boresighting by eye is 6 inches.

So what’s the price on this thing? I think it’s funny because I’ve contacted FX about information on this now and the customer service reps don’t even know what I’m talking about
Sana magkaroon rin ako ng ganyan kaso wlng pambili...matagal ko ng pangarap magkaroon ng ganyan ...sana may mabuting magreregalo ng ganyan skin...🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Cost me over £900 can not get it to read a single shot, went through the manual three times and still not recording any shots. This is a very expensive piece of plastic and zero help. When I phone the main importer into the UK I was told phone back in a weeks time and you may get someone!!! Great 😂 Have to say the most expensive chrono I have purchased to date that basically sits next to the rifle and does nothing!! Sorry guys but my experience is very poor and it will be sent back if I don’t get some assistance soon. 😢
3 questions...1 archery is below 400fps (about 270fps for hunting) 2. Does it save data on the unit as well or only in the app? 3. Hoe will it go on a range with other shooters if its constantly active?
@@drosendahl yep, but why would I want to replace say a Labradar, that can cover off all 3 of the above questions with another unit that can't? hence why I asked the question. but thanks for your suggestion
@@dionh4019 If you have a Labradar and still think its worth the money to look at another radar in this price range (I'm guessing this will be at least as expensive), I think you can afford a small unit as well... But to your original question, I would be very surprised if they didn't include an arrow option, either directly or with an update. That the menu for speed did exist even though it only had one option probably means it planned.
Personally, I'll wait to see this unit put through the paces by a more robust review. Labradar is tried and tested. At the end of the day, most competitive shooters will make a choice based on reliability and accuracy of measurement, not ease of use or cost of the unit.
Labradar is indeed tried and tested. And it’s awful. I’m betting I’m not the only person that has had a labradar since it’s rollout that’s anxious to sell it to some other unsuspecting fool who thinks it’s the top of the lines. It’s the epitome of a good idea poorly executed. Hoping this unit proves otherwise.
@tj what on earth are you on? It’s a new fx chronograph brought to market, Matt explained everything that anyone would liked to have known and shown about it. And you have a to say Thumbs down on this one how about saying nothing instead.
Tell me you don't understand how the dislike button works without telling me! All you are doing is become a nuisance for a youtuber that you do enjoy usually... If you don't like it just move along don't spread negativity
Well now there's another thing on my "buy list"!
Been waiting on some info on this. Thanks, Matt!
Its my birthday soon if you wondered. 🤣
..........Thanks for another GREAT review..........Malcolm.
It was a great PREVIEW, review is something else (and can't be done by someone working for the company)

Thank you for sharing this video. Neat set up.
Good job matt
It's amazing FX release a new chronograph out of the blue when we're still waiting for the inline barrel chronograph that they promised SUMMER 2021

Its summer here now and thats perfekt time for loading ladders and sharpening skills in for hunting season.

Hi Matt, any idea where and when this will be available in SA?
Always showing the differential fan card like guaranteed always you deserve work for all this deserving was happy for you
Any updated ETA on the release?
Good vid. Suggestion: Should have had bolt open or out when mounting scope..
Looks to it has better functionality than the labrader. No extra microphone and accupac😃 hope the price is not to high for me.
Been waiting for this. Nice!

Matt where can we find out when they will be available locally? Will you be an agent in PE?
Nice unit. Hopefully it will come at a price point significantly lower than the Lab Radar.
Where can we buy these?

For archery there are those cheaper airgun/archery units you can use instead (FX or other brands), I'm guessing this one will be quite expensive.
