The clays that I use are made to go to cone 5 so that is why I fire to cone 5. I do tend to get a hot five so in actuality I am firing to cone 5.5 but as you mentioned some glazes really like cone 6 and look best at that temp. Honestly, it's up to each individual to decided what temp/cone works for them and their studio practice.
Love the peppered Plum and Amaryllis!
Gloss pink under amaryllis looks good
Like you I love the riptide best. Looks amazing on texture. Thank you for sharing your results.
it's so interesting how the Nimbus turned out on the b mix. Mine turns out a really nice blue...
Good to know how they look at cone 5. I was afraid I wouldn’t get good results unless they were fired to cone 6
I have to say that the peppered plum is actually my favorite! How would the rose quartz look if you put gold around the rim? Or maybe MOP it?!
I think MOP and or gold would look fabulous on the Rose quartz.
The hanging planter with the riptide, where is the texture from?
I did a quick search and couldn't find anything like it - maybe an upcoming product??🤞
it is a silicone fondant mat I found on amazon.
Why won't you go to cone 6?..love the pepper plum..and the orange glaze..cone 6 makes alot of glazes way better!!!

I have far greater success at cone 6--- Cone 5 just not enough melt and run.
