This was Billboard’s “song of the summer” and it’s easy to see why. I had sort of avoided BTS for a long time (not sure why) but after Pentatonix did a Butter x Dynamite mashup I had to check out the originals to see how close they came. That was either a big mistake or the best thing ever because I got seriously hooked. My Pentaholic heart had to make room for 7 new guys. Seriously, I haven’t fangirled this hard since 1985! It’s kind of nuts but I’m loving it. My housework has suffered, though. Lol
Editing to add: their recent songs in English are super fun but quite “bubblegum”. The rest of their catalog is DEEP. Many genres, meaningful lyrics, intense & intelligent themes. Plus incredibly shot music videos and sooooooo mucccchhhhhhh dancing. Oh lord, their dancing….
As for what else you might like, I recommend “ON” (the kinetic manifesto version). Also “Daechwita” by Agust D (aka Suga from BTS). It’s one of his solo projects. (Each guy in BTS has done solos)
Lol. My previous avoidance of BTS also meant I didn’t see reactions to them. I didn’t realize you had a whole playlist of reactions to them! I’ve been a fan of yours from early on with Billie Eilish and then with PTX. I’m super psyched to dive into your BTS reactions. I always love your commentary and all the goosebumps :)
I feel the Same! I got exposed to them in around june and I probably did the best thing and the worst mistake 😅😅

I actually like BTS but it's not easy for me to see why. I think they released better music and this one sounded generic and unoriginal to me. But that's just my opinion.
@@danzieawadhi3013 its a pretty common opinion within the army too, but sometimes we gotta understand the guys' personal goals too. They had a purpose with these songs. To chart on billboard because radio just wouldn't play their original music. Its carefully crafted, repetitive and catchy. They're genuinely feel good and radio friendly. These songs are not bad, they always manage to put a smile on my face, but its hard to correlate the hype to these songs. You'd think this is good but why are people so mad about them?
Wait till you discover the korean albums, the mv, the literary references and the dope lyrics. Also they are some of the most authentic and humble people I saw. They're very likeable and hilarious.
You should watch some of BTS' older stuff they've been around since 2013. They started off as hip hop group & then turned more poppy but they do many genres tbh.
They just released a song with Coldplay called My Universe on Coldplay's album they have a music video too & there's a mini doco on UA-cam about the collab which is great to watch.
There’s also a hotter remix! Any BTS is worth listening to, but if you want something a bit more gritty - NO is good.
I happened to jump on the train when this popped: I kinda liked BTS but was not SO into them. I saw this coming up and watched it right when it came out, and my reaction was just like yours: first 30 seconds and I was sold. This was so perfectly made; every beat and turn was on point and top notch. Went right to the top of my summer list, and is still a tune that makes instantly drop whatever Im doing, turn up the volume and just dance. And the music video?! SO COOOOL
These guys do everything with such passion and devotion. The could put out anything and sell millions, but they have insanely high standards and work ethics. Gotta respect that, even if you're not into this kind of music.
BTS is always a good listen. Their videos, dance moves and production are always outstanding. The best of the best. BTS sets a very high bar for other bands to try to reach.

Just a fyi...they kiss their hand in this video because Jungkook has ARMY tattooed on his hand so it's a gesture to show love to ARMY.
if you want another uplifting song, they just released a collab with coldplay called My Universe. it rivals Butter, but in a different way. u gotta react to it!

I have watched it a lot. Not my usual, but besides the catchy tune, there is so much going on that it just draws you in. Besides Cesar is absolutely adorable in it.
