This is what music was about back in the day. It made you dance and have fun. This brings back so many joyous and happy memories of that era. RIP Hev and Trouble T-Roy.
There has been an immense outpouring of condolences for the passing of the Overweight Lover Heavy D. But what is it exactly about this artist that made his passing SO hurtful to his legions of fans? In my estimation, Heavy D had that elusive quality that so many artists lack. He was able to bring JOY to people. It was joyous to hear him rhyme, listen to his message, marvel at his dancing, admire his swagger, and MOST OF ALL, be a perfect hiphop ambassador. PEACE MY BROTHER TWILL NEVER BE ANOTHER
One of THE artists from the 80's and 90's that got me listening to hip-hop, and it's a shame to see the man go too soon. An artist from the Golden Age of rap and hip hop music, the likes of which we'll never see again. R.I.P. Heavy D.
Rap legend Heavy D -- one of the most influential rappers of the '90s -- died earlier today ... TMZ has learned. Heavy D -- real name Dwight Arrington Myers -- was rushed to an L.A. hospital around noon today ... and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1 PM. He was 44 years old. All love due to the ORIGINAL Overweight Lover. You will surely be missed.
I loved this mans voice, vibe, and messages. BOTH his Raps for Janet Jackson's "Alright" are LEGEND as well!!! I'm still confused as to why they dropped his character from "Bones" as well. Anyone else in that same boat?
This group, the artist, the sound was ahead of its time, we can drop this at any party, and it will sound just as good, as it did back in the days.... we have what we call old School, this is consider to be a Classic....
ok pop quiz what was the name of the shoes they had on with the chrome on the tip.... i knew they were called bobby browns but what is the actually brand
Please Ladies(in this video) have SEVEFRAL SEATS! You all don't know a thing about Voguing. You want to see Voguing go to a gay club. Those children will show you how it's done.
The culture didn't make Heavy D, Heavy D MADE THE CULTURE.
Teddy Riley was killin the rap game back then!
♫ "Be your own man, don't be borrowed - don't be bought" ♫ - When Hip Hop had a message behind it. Sweet Remix.
