Vitamins are optional... you can get a slight speed boost to go even faster with Vitamins and Maximum Overdrive.
Before library you need to be 5 doors ahead of rush, after library its 4 doors and in greenhouse its 3 doors.

How to get maximum overdrive modifier: First, You Need To do 150% modifiers to get hotel hell, Secondly, Go to door 100 to escape. (Hope this helps!!)
