Don´t worry. if you feel like crying,just do it. I can guarantee that most of us have and still cry at one point or another to Nightwish. That means that it´s good
I almost always cry during "The Poet and the Pendulum" when they get to, I think, part 4 or 5, where Floor sings, "Be still my son, you're home."

Yeah, this band has that effect on many people. Especially if you read lyrics on most songs

Oh yes, but please, let me tell you those TRUE tear-jerkers are yet to come... this is merelly "wonderfull" but it even comes to "heartbreaking" in some songs....

Just think, at this time Floor was a stand-in singer, even so, she had the crowd of 82,000 + in the palm of her hand. Shortly after this she became their permanent singer.

Sure you can say you love her, we all love her. She's a BEAST in the best possible way. Floor has a range that few singers today can come close too. These are some of the best musicians you will ever see. They don't over play each other, they all play just what the song needs. I see Gabriel has checked with you. He's kinda like the General of the Nightwish Army. He has alot of information and a play list to help you through your journey. One song you might consider taking out of order of the play list. Floor and her singing idol growing up, Henke Poort, appeared on a TV show "Beste Zangers" in 2019. Floor and Henke did "Phantom of the Opera" together. There are no words to describe it. It will leave your chin on your chest. Then they sand "Phantom" again during a Nightwish show in Amsterdam and they brought the house down again. Watch both versions - you won't believe it.
And along with her magnificent range Floor is also pitch perfect, and she emotes just the right singing style to fit a song's nature. Floor has been a notable singer for two decades, but my opinion it is that the music and lyrics provided by Tuomas Holopainen that gave her the opportunity to become the global star that she now is. To see Floor perform is to love her. It's almost impossible not to. She is a warm and kind human being, and that becomes even more evident when you see her humble interaction with all the singers on Beste Zangers 2019. All her performances from that show are reaction worthy.

And you've still barely scratched the surface... If GLS and this song both made you emotional, get a box of tissues ready cos there are quite a few songs which WILL make you cry! The Nightwish and Floor Jansen rabbit hole is so deep and extensive that need to be careful that you don't lose your *actual* rabbits in it! 😆

Oh how I envy people who have just discovered Nightwish. You have so much to hear/see (live videos are so much better than over produced, sterile studio tracks). Nightwish over the years have had several new band members, and some who have unfortunately left. I will be joining you on your journey of discovery, bon voyage!

Great reaction and yes you may say that you love Floor, as we all do. But you will see that in the end you love all members,since they area all topnotch. You say great lyrics, you are right, our metal Mozart Tuomas creates great songs with beautiful lyrics and compositions/music. As more reactors and fans say, the next song you listen to is the best. There isn't really a "bad" Nightwish song so do whatever you like
This however, to give you a clue, doesn't even reach top 6 for me. Much to look forward to.
Gabriel's list contains some of the "best" performances, but not all. Don't feel obliged to follow in the order he writes them.
My advice is look for one of his descriptions and see what takes your fancy next, for example Celtic folk, heavy, ballad, or whatever it may be, then choose something to match.
But branch of and take recommendations too. The List is not prescriptive but rather is a guide through the warren.
This song sums up the story of the movie Imaginaerum, the eponymous film that goes with the album Imaginaerum after which this tour is named.
Watching the movie will give you some context for the album and songs, many of them in this Wacken show.
But cover other concerts too.
While many think Wacken 2013 is the best, I think Buenos Aires 2018 is top of the list, with Wembley 2015 next and Wacken 2013 behind. But even as my 3rd favourite it is an astounding concert.

Greeting from the Southern California contingent of the Nightwish Army. We are all so grateful for the joy Nightwish brings, and are happy to see newcomers. As for suggestions, I recommend that you continue your journey with more performances from this 2013 Wacken concert. It contains most of the Best of Nightwish up until that year. It's really hard to pick a single favorite because the entire concert is so insanely good, but one of my favorites is "Song of Myself." But I will be here for all your Nightwish reactions.

I found them a few years ago through a reaction to Ghost Love Score and fell in love with them all. Since then, my wife and I have seen them live in San Francisco in 2022. What a magical experience. This tour was called the Imaginaerum Tour since the songs were from a concept of stories that involved the imagination, like Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, etc. It was worth standing in a little mud to see this concert. Now that you're a NW addict, we'll expect many more reactions! Plenty of songs to listen to. Nice job! We realize you have to pause, but short pauses are trivial and don't impact us much.

Nightwish has had a couple of wonderful singers through the years, but Floor was just the missing piece in the puzzle. She rejuvenated an already great band. The chemistry is out of this world. Nightwish is a fantastic band and there founder also Keyboard player Toumas Holopainen is a musical genius. There Female singer is the best female singer in the world in my opinion and she is so beautiful and a goddess. Her name is Floor Jansen and she comes from the Netherlands, I am a fan of the band Sabaton who come from Sweden and they have songs about military historical events and true stories from military history from around the world. Sabaton's drummer Hannes van Dahl is married to Nightwish singer Floor Jansen who occassionally does background singing for Sabaton. Also Nightwish and Sabaton belong to the same record company. It is a feel-good song! Childhood innocence and adventure! Has a darker edge too but isn't a hint of danger the spice which makes it worthwhile? See the Nightwish movie Imaginaerum - not "just an album"!

Nice Zoey... Every song from the Wacken 2013 festival is good, and every song is different. Hopefully you will react to all of it, and then go on to the live videos from Wembley and Tampere, which are awesome as well. Floor also has performances that she has done on her own, like covers of successful songs from the Disney animated movies, and songs she performed on a Dutch TV reality show called Beste Zangers, where well known singers get together and sing each other's songs. Floor reportedly became nationally well known in the Netherlands after appearing on that show. There's a lot of Nightwish/Floor material to review, but it has been a joy for me. I've been a fan of Nightwish since the band got started in the late 1990's, and I still enjoy their work tremendously!

Wow, I like how you connect to the music. Looking forward to the next one. Gabriels list is great; it fits pretty much for everyone. But I think you'd be really blown away with more quiet/slow songs like Sleeping Sun (Tampere 2015), Shoemaker (Official Lyric) or Dead Boy's Poem (Buenos Aires 2018). One of those would be a good contrast to what you've listened to so far.
