Tim is one of the few lawn-care guys who collects the cuttings and takes them to the dump/tip
It’s a hell of a lot more work but makes a massive difference.
@@timthelawnmowerman The others claim the cuttings decompose "quickly".
But, in the meantime:
1) the lawn looks a mess
2) subsequent mowings are more difficult
3) the cuttings create thatch which invites more weeds and diseases which will eventually need to be dealt with.
And we love it! :-)
Fully agree. Aggravating to see the other channels drive in circles layering it on top and leaving it there. Tim goes the full mile. 🌿

The cool thing is that the paint is temporary. It makes things green while the grass resets. It is only yellow because the crowns grew out too tall from how long the grass was. As it recovers fron the shock of being cut and starts growing again, it'll be green and at an appropriate height. This way the homeowner doesn't have to wait for that.

Neighbors don't look out for each other like they used to. Thank goodness there are guys like you out there!

I am thankful daily for good neighbours and seeing this makes me even more grateful.
Only 1 out of 10 of my neighbors would help if i was sick. The other 9 are all new neighbors that are all from the same extended family and couldnt give a shit about anyone but themselves.
It isn’t a society, it is a form of Living Apart Together.
There a lot folks who hire lawn services they don’t have the equipment. I notice the younger generation hire out most work or repairs. We always did most ourselves from yard, landscape, painting, laying carpet/tile, cooking, repair appliances, change oil, light plumbing etc. Guess they have more money than time! We both worked, had 2 kids and somehow made the time we are in our 60’s and still do our lawn!
You are one of my two favorites because you collect the cuttings and dump them. You are so organized and you clean lawns thoroughly. It reflects on your personality. Thank you for doing good deeds on people. God Bless!

I like lawns when the grass is collected.. I also know that people complain when someone doesn't do something about it. At least somebody got the help for their neighbor since they couldn't do it themselves. THANK YOU, AND THEM for stepping in.
I couldn't believe it when you started using that green lawn spray, but what a brilliant product! It made the yard look really fantastic, the finishing touch to your excellent mowing and edging. That poor lady sounds like she's had a really hard time lately, so thank you so much for doing this for her. She can feel pride in her yard again. I send my condolences to her for the loss of her husband and I hope she will feel better and healthier soon too.
Thank you for cleaning up the curb. So many times we'll watch some lawn care person do a fabulous job trimming and edging around the yard but neglect to do the same work on the curb which borders the property.

Tim you just blew my mind. I've never seen a lawn "colored". I live in South Carolina and this was a first for me. I work as a secretary for Graham Landscaping and I've never heard of a customer asking for the grass to be greener. I LOVE IT!! As always...GREAT JOB!!
Perhaps you could point the management toward lawn paint! 😅
To be fair, SC can keep the grass green year-round if they want to, since temps don't drop too low for too long. In this case, it's nice to have it green while the grass comes back from being intentionally cut low.

I think someone somewhere in California, or Florida did something like that in drought stricken areas, to keep the lawns looking good. It surely looks better than the usual brown,gold color, great job Tim I couldn't have done it any better.

They spray their lawns in the states during the winter months. Protects from frosts and gives it that fresh lush look. Good work Tim
What’s in the spray?
One brand is called colour guard. It’s non toxic food grade dye if I remember correctly. It also contains liquid fertiliser which will help the grass bounce back to its natural green.

Great job Tim. Your technique for edging and trimming the sidewalks was enjoyable to watch and that spray on grass looks amazing.
That paint is amazing, when I first saw the beginning of the video I thought the grass had greened up after a few weeks. Makes all the difference. You brought back memories cutting that stuff, I don't think I will ever forget the smell of kikuyu being cut after being left to grow out for too long.

What a wonderful surprise at the end! I think doing a temporary green until the grass is able to pull itself back together again is the cherry on top!

Tim you were the first UA-camr I’ve ever watched and are still by far the best. I now watch power wash channels as well . I keep thinking wouldn’t it be wonderful if once and awhile you and one of those guys could work together on a project? What a total transformation that would be!

Love what you do, it always amazes me that just by looking at your neighbors lawns you can pretty much tell who needs help and it's such an easy fix, help one neighbor and the magic spreads, kindness should always be the 1st response and you are a kind man sir! Respect!

Great job Tim! Always wondered though, why do so many Aussie houses have those low level ‘lawnmower killer’ pipes in the front gardens? Surely not a great place to put them?

Ah, not only did you find someone who really could use some extra help, but your friend is still helping handle the outrageous piles of waste you manage to extract from overgrown locations. Thanks. I was wondering why you started with a Trimmer and it was "the search for the hidden utilities", again. Laughed at noting you wrote you used lawn paint. The initial thumbnail, the only answer I could think of for the major color change was dye, and it turns-out, that is the polishing finish you did. A very nice way, in this case, to make a major change fast. Was just admiring your technique: You blew the overgrown paving edges, which makes them easier to edge; you used your mower to gather the mass of clippings on the lawn (while still giving yet another cut for neatness); you are using a small cutter blade, on the Trimmer, to get the edges back to normal. Very excellent work all the way through.
